WOULD NOT RECOMMEND........EVER...........the worst customer service I've ever seen! 2/9/2009

I've never been to a place with such bad customer service. Every girl there was horrible. Especially the one that was supposedly supposed to be helping us with the bridal gowns. She was mean and snippy. Our visit there was bad from the start. My sister had an appointment, but we had to wait 45 minutes after her appointment time before they were even ready for us. The whole experience was horrible. The five of us ended up leaving without trying any dresses on because the employees were so snooty, catty, and annoying. I don't know if they were overworked or what, but there's no excuse for the way they treated their customers. At one point, the employees were gathered around the desk upstairs talking meanly about customers. I can't believe anyone would buy anything from that store. I was happy to get out, and I'm never going back. Cons: Cramped, cluttered, and horrible customer service. more

Great Shopping Experience 2/8/2009

I loved this store! They had a really great selection and an awesome staff. I went to the shop on a Thursday evening with my mom and sister and had the best time. My sales lady helped me in and out of all the dresses and helped me narrow down my choices until I found the perfect dress. I had been to two other shops and the customer service wasen't any where near the wedding shoppe. I would highly reccommend this store to other brides. They were super helpful and friendly. Pros: Great Selection and Friendly Staff more

Horrible Customer Service 2/2/2009

The staff is rude and inconsiderate. They do not have a clear idea of what they are to be doing. They are not helpful. Overall the customer service is the worst I have seen at a retail store. I have no idea how they keep in business. I would not recommend them to anyone. more

WORST customer service!!! 1/27/2009

Not sure how this place even stays in business.... Manager Mary Smith is the rudest person I have ever met! Will not work with you even if they mess up the order...... Pros: Parking, oh wait.....thats a pain is the @ss too! Cons: Mary Smith as their manager more

Incredibly horrible service. Awful selection. HUGE disappointment. Don't bother. 1/16/2009

I was extremely excited to look at this store for a wedding gown. It was one of two places that I was going to look. I went with a friend on a Friday afternoon just to get a feel for the store. We did not make an appointment, as I am not yet engaged. The sales staff was incredibly rude, condescending and treated us as though we were in the way. We asked if we could go downstairs to look around and the sales girl rolled her eyes and told us she had to check with her manager. She got on the phone and argued with the manager for a minute and then told us ""you can go down only to look, but the rooms are reserved and don't touch anything."" Their selection was horrible and the dresses looked cheap and tacky. When I do become engaged, I will not make an appointment at The Wedding Shoppe. It was an incredible disappointment and I would not recommend this store to anyone. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DRESS, GO TO RAFFINE IN STILLWATER. A beautiful small-town store with an impressive collection of dresses and exceptional service. HIGHLY recommended. Again, thats Raffine in Stillwater, MN. Pros: NONE. Cons: HORRIBLE service. Cheap and Tacky-looking dresses. Don't bother. more

Three Stars because the Dress was previosly chosen 12/30/2008

Our appointment was Saturday, December 27 at 1:30pm. It was my sister, mom, and myself. I had no idea what to expect but my sister was really excited to go because of pictures she saw online. As soon as we walked in I was turned off. The way they have a ""hostess"" that checks you in and not even promptly at that screamed ""no customer service here"". We had to wait about 10 minutes before my sister was even able to ""check in"". There were multiple groups of women standing around together waiting to pay, check in, and go upstairs. I am used to stores that are very personal, one on one, and have limits on how many can be in your group. We only had to wait an additional five minutes after my sister was checked in. We were led upstairs and told to take our shoes off; the shoe shelves are a great idea in the nook. Pros: the other area shops, cute and very fun! , our sales girl was very sweet to my mom Cons: too many people, too many appointments at once, only on street parking, feeling pressured and rushed more

I found a beautiful dress, but the customer service is absolutely horrible. 12/23/2008

My dress was great, but the people who work at the shoppe that pick your dress up from was horrible. The girls were rude and mean. I made an appointment, because I know how busy they are, and when I came for my appointment they didn't have me down. The girl gave me a mean look and then reamed into me how I need to set up an appointment. Also, do not get alterations done here, way too expensive and they did mine wrong twice! Pros: Cute dresses Cons: Customer service more

Best Shoppe in the Twin Cities 12/14/2008

I had a great experience at this shop. I am a plus size bride and thought my only place to shop was David's Bridal. My friend who is also plus size reccommended the wedding shoppe to me and I am so glad that I went. They had a wonderful selection of plus size styles that were stylish and affordable. I found my dress their and recieved excellent customer service. It was such a better experience than David's. My sales lady was SO NICE and made me feel so comfortable. It was a memorable experience. Pros: Good Plus Size Selection, Nice Staff Cons: Busy on Saturdays more

Very rude and condescending customer service! 12/9/2008

We recently ordered extra fabric from the bridesmaid dresses for pocket squares. It took 5 weeks to get and they arrived as the iridescent chiffon (see through fabric). Brought it to the manager, Mary Smith's, attention and she basically blamed my fiance for ordering it. My fiance assumed it was common sense that it would be the satin part of the dress like all pocket squares are. Now we are 3 weeks til our wedding and are eating the $75 and off to a fabric store.... Pros: One of the only places in town Cons: Very rude and condescending customer service! more

Faboulous!!!! 12/8/2008

This shop is simply amazing. I had the best customer service and found a dress that I am totally in love with. Their expertise, professionalism and friendly staff made my shopping experience very special. I would give this store two thumbs up! Pros: Nice Staff, Beautiful Dresses more

Best Place in Twin Cities 12/8/2008

I love this place!! After visiting four local bridal shops and recieving little to no help, I was relieved when I went to The Wedding Shoppe. I had a hard time finding a destination looking dress, every place I went to had big poofy styles with way to much of a train. We are getting married in Hawaii and I needed a dress that was light and comfortable with no train. I was pleased to find a huge selection of dresses that were exactly what I was looking for. I am not the traditional bride and was thrilled that the Wedding Shoppe had a great selection to choose from at a reasonable price. My sales girl was amazing and couldn't have been sweeter. I would highly reccommend the Wedding Shoppe to other brides. Pros: Great Selection, Friendly Staff more

Bad Customer Service 10/3/2008

Well I don't even know how to begin with how horrible the service is at this Bridal shop. I had to go back seven times before they got my dress mostly right and they never got the stain out of my dress that they made. The staff is rude and doesn't even smile when you come in. They are easy to accomodate you coming in on Saturdays if you want to first buy a dress, but once they got you on that, good luck getting in when it is convenient for you again. Anything that is wrong with your dress they are quick to blame the manufacturer and the alterations they do are horrible. If you are brave enough to go to this place and do find a dress you love, find out who made it and buy it elsewhere. You will be glad you did. more

Faboulous Selection and Service 9/27/2008

I visited The Wedding Shoppe after being referred there by several other brides and had an awesome experience. I felt they had the largest selection of all the bridal shops I visited and the best service. I found my dress on the third gown and tried on several other styles afterward, but nothing compared to the third dress. My consultant was very nice and picked my dress for me. I am glad that I went to this store, because after 3 other bridal shops and finding nothing I liked, I was very discouraged. This shop made me love trying on gowns and put a smile on my face. I would highly reccommend this store. Pros: Great Service, Awesome Dresses Cons: Limited Parking more

Wedding Shoppe - Horrible Service 9/27/2008

I have been to the wedding shoppe about four times in the past two months. I have had nothing but terrible service. While trying to find a bridal dress, the consultants rush you and try to make you decide on which dress you want on your first appointment. I mean, what bride-to-be can look through a great number of dresses in one hour and decide that day which one they want. I had a difficult time actually focusing because I felt so rushed. Also, I feel like the consultants and workers there just act like your in the way (EVEN IF YOU HAVE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT)! I understand that the Wedding Shoppe is going to be busy on a Saturday. However, either schedule more workers, or do not load up on so many appointments when there are only two workers. While trying on bridesmaid dresses today, there were about thirty girls in the bridesmaid department and I saw two workers. It took us at least 30 minutes to get our measurements and check-out. RIDICULOUS! Also, when my mom took a day off of work to look at dresses with me, and I scheduled an appointment, the girl forgot to put me down in the book. Because of this, they had to squeeze us in, and they were rude and rushed us to get done because of their mistake. This morning, I also had an appointment to have the initial try on for my wedding dress, and they forgot to put this in the book. The lady told me that because of their mistake, I would have to find another day to try on my dress for my initial fitting. The Wedding Shoppe has beautiful dresses but horrible customer service. The only reason they are able to get away with it is because of their location. more

Best Customer Service and Selection 8/27/2008

I went to the Wedding Shoppe on a Thursday night with my mom and sister and found the most beautiful wedding dress!! The store was having a trunk show and my consultant picked the dress I least expected to like on. It was very beaded and had some lace on it and originally I was looking for something simple. I put the dress on and have never felt so beautiful in my life! I knew it was the one. I would highly reccommend the wedding shoppe to other brides. The customer service was excellent, my consultant was amazing. They have confirmed when my dress is expected in and already have all of my alteration appointments set up. This store has been so accomadating and has made the dress shopping experience stress free. The next step is to look at bridesmaids and I cannot wait to see what will match with my dress. Two thumbs up for the Wedding Shoppe! Pros: Great Selection, Great Sales People Cons: Limited Parking more

TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD BRIDAL SHOPPE 8/23/2008

I have had nothing but bad service from this establishment. The worst experience has to be regarding my mom's mother of the bride dress. The sales lady said she should order a certain size based on the measurements the lady took, but my mom questioned it because it seemed too big in the bust. The lady insisted she order that size claiming that based on her lower body measurements she needed that size. She assured her that she was so experienced in helping mothers of the bride. So, her dress just came in and it's WAY too big...everywhere...even in the hips and waist, which is where it was supposed to fit perfectly. She doesn't even need to unzip it to put it on. It's got a ton of beading on the bodice and can't be altered. Now my wedding is a month away, no time/money to reorder. It's really sad to go from seeing your mother so excited and looking forward to wearing a gorgeous dress, to hearing her sobbing over it. Cons: Service, Policies, Staff, Location more

awful, just awful 8/17/2008

I was dreading dress shopping. I didn't want a ""princess"" dress and a brief glance at bridal magazines gave me a clue that this might be a problem. I had heard mixed reviews about customer service at The Wedding Shoppe, but I made an appointment because their selection of dresses seemed to be pretty versatile. Even though I made an appointment, you would have thought I came in off the street with the way the staff treated me. I specifically told the girl ""helping"" us that I didn't want long trains or a lot of volume to the dresses and she pulled out dresses for me to try as if she hadn't heard a word I had ever said, snapping her gum the entire time. After I rejected puffy dress after puffy dress, the sales associate just told me, ""I don't think we have anything here that will work for you"" and totally gave up. She gestured vaguely in the direction of a room with ""dresses for destination weddings that are a little more plain and boring"" and wouldn't help us (my sister was with me) anymore. I was in tears when I left and this experience did not calm my wedding dress shopping fears. Do not go here. Awful, awful, awful. Pros: location Cons: awful customer service more

Awful customer service- Worst place ever! 8/10/2008

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I was shocked at the outright rude behavior from the sales associate. I had made my appt. almost two months ahead and had 2 hours scheduled. As soon as we got there we were treated like we were an annoyance to the girl helping us. She never once asked any questions, made any nice comments or pulled any dresses for me. I even told her exactly what I was looking for and asked her to get some, but she ignored me. She also told my mom to stop pulling dresses because we'd end up being here all night and they close at 6pm- It was 3pm! I've never experienced such poor service, especially since this is suppose to be a special time and an enjoyable time...not the case here at all! The sales girls sat and gossiped about clients in front of them- and another client left because of the way she was being treated....they just laughed about it. They completely over-booked and had too many brides in that small dis-organized area...it was just an awful experience...my two friends and my mom and I left there in dis-belief. I would never recommend this place to anyone, they have the worst sales associates- who have no desire to help you! They need to clean house and fire their awful employees, they obviously hate their jobs. Stay away!! Cons: Horrible service- the rudest sales people you'll ever encounter! more

Great! 8/5/2008

Really had a great experience purchasing and trying on my dress. Cynthia was amazing! Only cons were the fact that I went on a Saturday and it was insanely busy, but the atmosphere was still light and fun. Pros: Cynthia in the Bridal department Cons: Alteration Dept more

Best Selection and Customer Service 7/29/2008

What can I say besides... I LOVE this place. I was really dreading dress shopping. I am not super girly and was afraid I was going to look silly in a wedding dress. I ended up trying on about 10 dresses and the second dress was definetly my favorite. I loved this dress because it matched my personality and was super comfortble. I liked the dress because it wasen't too poofy and only had a short train. I am so glad that I visited this store. They made the experience totally fun and relaxing. I was so nervous going into the appointment, but left so incredibly relieved and happy. This store is amazing. I would reccommend going to this store on a weekday, it is less busy and you can get more one on one attention.I went on a Saturday once with my friend and it was super busy. They were still nice and helpful, but I thought it was overwhelming. I liked my Tuesday appointment. Less crowds. I would highly reccommend this store to others. Great experience. Pros: Good Service and Selection Cons: Can be busy on weekends more
