Great Service at The Wedding Shoppe 10/10/2006

I had such a wonderful ecperience at this store. I just got married two months ago and have to say that the Wedding Shoppe made my wedding planning so easy and stress free. From helping pick out my wedding dress to to fitting my gown, I felt like I recieved excellent customer service. My bridesmaids and tuxes also looked great. Wedding Nightmare 10/4/2006

I had high hopes for a great experience at The Wedding Shoppe but after experiencing it firsthand as a bride I would NEVER recommend it to my worst enemy or consider dropping another dime there. Some of the sales people were fantastic, others were horrible. I paid their alterations department to bustle the dress. When I tried it on it hung diagonally down the back, so I had to schedule a last minute alteration and pick up the dress days before my wedding. There was no opportunity to try on the dress to see if the correct changes had been made, as it was pinned to a cardboard form, but I was required to sign a sheet saying I was ""completely satisfied"" before I could leave with the dress. The parting insult was being charged $55 dollars for ironing the bridal dress (which I will be traveling with) and was told by staff NOT to have ironed. Never, ever, step foot in this mess. I LOVE THIS STORE!! 9/19/2006

I had an excellend experience at this store, so I thought I would let others know as well. I purchased my gown, bridesmaids dresses and tuxes through the shoppe and was very very happy. I found the staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and professional!! They made the experience very stress free and pleasent. I can't say enough good things about this store. I found my wedding dress here - finding it was a wonderful experience, altering it was horrible! If you do choose to buy a dress here, take it somewhere else to have it altered. I had to have it altered 5 times! This is supposed to be an exciting time, trying your dress on and making sure it fits ok. I suppose someone had to ruin it for me - a woman named Elsa in the altering dept. was just a terrible person to me, made me feel as though it was my fault that her alterations were't meeting my standards and the dress still wasn't fitting just days before my wedding. Talk about stress you just don't need to deal with as a bride! I will make sure all the brides-to-be that i know pass this store by! Pros: dress selection was ok Cons: very RUDE customer service more

Go to The Wedding Shoppe ONLY if your first consideration is PRICE 8/26/2006

I should have paid more attention to the other reviews! The Wedding Shoppe was a huge disappointment! First of all, you are asked to search the jammed racks for your own dress. The dresses are in plastic bags, and there is no telling what they look like. The designer tags are cut out! The dressing rooms are tiny. Room for two, standing up. Therefore, to see your dress, you must go out to the mirror where, in our case, three or more brides were trying to see their dresses at the same time. It felt like a cattle call. We were going to another appointment, so we tried to take a picture of our 'favorite' dress (we were really trying, here!) The flash brought a saleswoman running. NO pictures! We were embarassed, and upset. This was far from the happy experience we were looking forward to. But, the day was not lost. We found the perfect dress at Macy's. Snotty Service 7/30/2006

Although the bridesmaid part was ok, the bridal gown area of this shoppe is awful. I will never ever return to this shop again. Of all the places I have been to looking at wedding gowns, this one was by far the worst. Although I found one dress I liked, the absolutely awful service we received made me sure I would never want to give them my business. The sales woman was rude and snooty, and just felt completely fake. She completely made what should have been an enjoyable experience a very disappointing one. Nice Sales folks 5/23/2006

I dropped in without an appointment. After a 15 minute wait, I was helped. Specifically, I wanted a tea-length strapless gown. They didn't have that many dresses that fit this bill. This place has many dresses, but mostly of the same style. Even though I didn't get my dress her, I really enjoyed the experience. Pros: Crowds Cons: Off street parking more

this place is HORRIBLE to work with. Everyone told me to avoid this place like the plague, but they have a huge selection. the experience was AWFUL. Everything from trying on the gowns to ordering was BAD. Also, the dressing rooms in the bridesmaid dress section was TERRIBLE. NOT recommended. more

i got my bridesmaid dresses here, that experience was okay and the sales girl was very helpful. The bridal experience was HORRIBLE. AWFUL dresses, staff was rude, not a great selection at all. The wedding shoppe was the first place we stopped to look for my wedding dress; the staff was VERY helpful. Not only were they pleasant, but they actually made me feel like I was the only one in the store...with all the attention they gave me; which I knew wasn't true....the store is busy all the time! When I showed the sales lady a picture of the dress I like from a magazine...she found an identical one...and that is the one we bought...They are GOOD!! I had the most wonderful experience at the Wedding Shoppe. I worked with Sindy in the Bridal department and was very pleased with the service she gave me. She helped me pick out the most beautiful gown in my price range. I am so grateful that I was able to find the most perfect dress at a price I could afford. I also had a positive experience in the bridesmaids department, work with Carolyn F., she is very knowledgeable, professional and has a great personaility. Wonderful Experience 11/9/2005

The Wedding Shoppe has so many different styles of bridal gowns! Cathy, my bridal consultant was great. She found me a new dress not available yet except at the WS! I also ordered bridesmaid and tuxedos and everything worked out perfect. I would highly recommend all brides to at least check out their selection. This is the place to go!!! I have been in 5 weddings that have used The Wedding Shoppe for the wedding gown, the tuxedos, and the bridesmaids dresses! Every time my experience has been wonderful!!! The sales staff is so friendly (they are practically my best friends by now!) and they are experts on their products! They take the time to get to know you and learn what your style is to help you find what you are looking for. The atmosphere is fresh and new and the selection is AWESOME! They have many designers whose dresses are sold exclusively at the Shoppe - so it is rare that you will see another bride wearing the same gown! And, their alterations are amazing!!! I am from out of town, and have a about 90 days until the wedding. I came with pictures of couture gowns. The saleswoman was upbeat but said my situation could be difficult. She found an armful of dresses that could work based on my description. The first dress was fantastic. She called across the street, and they actually had my size! Someone ran the dress over, and I didn't even need alterations. The saleswoman gave me a hug and the alterations woman was beaming. Part of it was luck, but they made me, my mom and dad feel special. Treated me like a princess 8/17/2005

After going to another shop in Mpls on Nicollet and being told basically that I was doing terribly at being a bride (nontraditional dress) not to mention being too fat (size 14) I was lucky enough to find that the dress I wanted was at only 1 other location in the Cities and it was the Wedding Shoppe. The staff has been so kind to me. They always seem to be pulling in other staff to see my pretty dress. They all think it's so neat that I'm doing something a little different. Every request I've made of them has been answered and attended to with immediacy. This is the one vendor in this whole experience that has really made me feel like a blushing bride instead of a wallet with legs. Great Service 6/28/2005

I found the Wedding Shoppe to be a great experience and value. When picking my gown I was given personal attention although I did have to dig through a pile of hangers myself (a very static experience!!!). I've ordered a pair of gloves I wanted to use for some other event and they mixed my order up thinking I was ordering for the wedding. As a result I didn't receive my gloves the day they were supposed to come. Followed up immediately and the people from bridesmaids dpt. were exteremly helpful and I had my gloves UPSed to me within 5 days from my follow up. So despite the mix up I had my gloves for the event I needed and was happy with the promt response. I'm still waiting for my gown fittings, but I'm sure it'll be all fine. Overall great experience. Terrible service! 6/3/2005

I was getting married in Colorado 2 years ago but was shopping for my bridesmaid's gowns in Minnesota. We went here and the service was terrible! They didn't even acknowledge that we were there. Then this spring I received a bridesmaid dress for an out of state wedding that was too small to even try to alter. So I called the Wedding Shoppe to try to get another one and they told me that they didn't carry ""those"" sizes (size 18) and the woman was very rude to me. I would go anywhere else but here. Terrible service. Worst in Twin Cities. 5/18/2005

The staff is extremely rude, unknowlegable and completely without any sort of fashion sense. I tried on a sample dress that I wanted to see one more time before I bought it. I went back and they had sold the sample. They said they would call if another dress came in. I had to go Iowa to see it. I never got a call but i stopped to get my brides maides dresses and there was the dress I wanted! They never called me! I am sorry i got my brides maid dresses there because when i checked them there was a small flaw with the dress and they refused fix it and would not even look at the dress! I am very disappointed with my experience there. I have dealt with several people there and they were all terrible. They really need to realize how to treat customers.
