I loved every minute of this shop! For the volume they do and the people they help there is not another staff that is as helpful or fun... The owner is the kindest lady ever so I do not know who these other women met but it cant be her!... I compare it to my Salon I go to they are so nice, funny, trendy, and put up with a lot of evil people and I have to use evil! There were Brides there who almost ruined my experience!!! They were so embarrassing and rude they demand everything and expect it NOW no wonder they can run behind because they try and please everyone and some Brides wouldn't leave past their appointments which in turn made more Brides mad...... In conclusion, I had so much fun, found my dress got, got a great price, they even drove a tux to the chapel!!!! (we left a tux in the shop) best service there that you will not find from a large retailer. Trust me my girlfriends dress was lost from Davids! I was very pleased with The Wedding Shoppe on Grand. I felt their selection was great and their pricing was amazing. I ended up purchasing a designer dress on their sample sale for $899. It was awesome! The dress I liked was about $2500 and was way out of my budget, but due to their sample sale I was able to purchase my dream dress. After talking to a friend who found her dress at The Wedding Shoppe I decided to set up an appointment and hopefully have as much luck as she did there. When I called, the woman on the phone explained to me that Saturdays are very busy and if I could come during the week it would be quieter. I decided to come during the day on Tuesday and it was wonderful. Everyone in the shop was very helpful and made sure I had a good time. I worked with Ashley in the bridal area and she was so much fun! She knew exactly what to pick and was joking around and made sure we were all enjoying ourselves and thanks to her I found the perfect dress!!! After my appointment we went to bridesmaids and looked around. They have so many dresses!! I was amazed to see all the options. The staff showed us around even though we didn?t have an appointment and let us look through the color books to find a dress in clover. I was very glad they sqeezed us in because I ended up getting my dress and the bridesmaids dresses done all in one day! I will recommend the wedding shop to all of my friends!! From the moment I walked through the doors, I had nothing but an amazing experience. I told them the styles I was interested in and my price range. My consultant was very friendly and extremely helpful. She brought me everything that met my needs and what I asked for; I easily found the perfect wedding dress within my hour and half appointment. Once I put a down payment on the dress, I was able to take pictures for my mom and grandma since they were unable to be with me that day. This store is amazing! I had limited time to shop for a dress due to my busy schedule and I loved how this store helped me pick out a bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses in one day. My bridesmaids, my mom and I made a day of it and found everything we could have possibly wanted at this store. The selection was amazing and the staff was super friendly. I was really looking forward to goin to this shop. However when I got there the lady helping my and my two bridesmaids was very rude. I told them ahead of time that I would have two girls with me but she acted like they shouldn't be in the dressing room even though she asked who I would prefer to have in there helping me: her or the girls. At one point she tried to stop one of my girls from coming in. After every dress the sales girl would peek her head in, ask what I thought very hurriedly and then say something like, ""ok, on to the next one."" I felt extremely rushed and she was not even subtle about trying to hurry me. My appointment was 1 1/2 hours long and after an hour she tried to tell me that the store was closing even though it wasn't for another 1/2 hour. I told her I wanted to take another look and she said they were closing and I had to remind her that my appointment was for an hour and a half and then she finally said I coud ""quickly"" look around. The girls at the desk were talking about the customers and the whole thing was a huge disappointment. They were also EXTREMELY rude about taking pictures. We didn't see a sign in our dressing room and since my mom couldn't be there we wanted to take pictures to show her. They confronted us after the appointment very rudely, demanded that we erase them and accused us of trying to sneak it. They assumed we weren't going to buy anything and didn't even mention ordering or anything. We couldn't WAIT to get out of there...after complaining to the manager. I bought my wedding dress at the Wedding Shoppe several months ago and had an extremely positive experience. The saleswoman had an excellent sense of what I was looking for. I ended up purchasing a dress that she had recommended, which was also within my budget. The trouble started when I went in for my first fitting. I was told to budget an hour for the first fitting, so I left work early to make it in time to my appointment. When I got there, I was left alone for 15 minutes waiting for someone to lace up my dress. When someone finally came to lace me up, she told me about how my dress is a newer style and that it should be taken in from the back, not the sides, as they had just recently ruined another brides dress! I couldn't believe she was sharing this with me! As soon as the dress was on, I was asked if I wanted it unlaced - I said that I hoped to get the fitting process started and the response was ""Well if you had come an hour earlier, we could have started, but I've got 2 other brides here and we're short handed."" When I went downstairs I told the receptionist that I was anticipating a longer fitting and it was then that I learned a seamstress had called in sick. Why not let me know that before I left work early?! I managed to get an estimate, even though no one ever offered me one. The next week, I took my dress out of the Wedding Shoppe and brought it to Su's Express Alterations, where I got personal service. The alterations were completed (it was taken in from the sides, too) with beautiful results and I was charged $150 less than what the Wedding Shoppe quoted me. I recentely visited the Wedding Shoppe in the search of bridesmaids dresses. I have a size 4 to 20 in my wedding party and all different body types, so needless to say finding one dress was going to be a big challenge. I worked with Anne in the bridesmaids dress department and she was so helpful. She offered great suggestions and ended up pulling the perfect dress for our party. She pulled the size 8 for my smaller girls and a size 18 for the others. It was great to see how the dress flattered all my girls. I would highly reccommend this store to other brides because the service was great and the selection was unbeatable and affordable. I don't think I've ever been treated this poorly in my life. The customer service is horrible at The Wedding Shoppe. After waiting an hour for my appointment (which I had scheduled over a month in advance), we met the lady that was supposed to assist my group. She was the rudest women I have ever met and it turns out she's the manager!!!! If she doesn't show good customer service then her employees won't either. They sat at the counter and talked about all of the customers. I even heard them swearing about one bride and her bridesmaids. I can't believe anyone would treat their customers this way. And what's with the whole taking off your shoes? That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I don't like walking around stores in bare feet. That's just gross. I went shopping on Friday afternoon at The Wedding Shoppe and had a great experience. My sales lady named Katie was very helpful and great to work with. I liked how she picked out dresses for me to try on. Dress shopping at other places had been kind of stressful and I did not find anything that I liked. Katie listened to my likes and dislikes and found me the most perfect dress that I felt beautiful in. I can not say enough good things about The Wedding Shoppe. My experience at The Wedding Shoppe was truly amazing. My consultant was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. She went above and beyond and helped me find the perfect dress. We tried on about 10 dresses and finally I put on ""The One""! My mom and I burst into tears, we were so excited and relieved at the same time. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before making an appointment at this store. I've never written a review on any place before, but my experience at this store was so bad I feel I need to let everyone know. I arrived a few minutes before my appt and waited an hour before being taken to a fitting room. Not once while we were waiting did anyone apologize or explain the delay. I wish I would have left at that point. They shouldn't be scheduling so many appts at the same time if they can't handle them. All the employees were rude and one had a breakdown right in front of me. I'm not sure what her deal was, but customers shouldn't have to deal with it. I heard the employees talking about customers behind their backs and calling them names. They were very unprofessional and acted childish. I left before trying on any dresses. It was so ridiculous! If you'd like to deal with mature, professional salespeople when shopping for your dresses, DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!! From what I can tell, the managers are exactly like the employees, so I don't foresee any improvements being made. I can't believe this store is still in business. This place by far has been my favorite shopping experience. I am a plus size woman and had a hard time finding places that carry my size. They had a really great selection and my sales lady was very knowledgeable and very funny. She made the experience so great and comfortable. I liked how gave great suggestions and helped pull dresses. There were so many to choose from and it really helped when they picked out styles that looked best on my body type.
