The Wedding Shoppe

I went in to the Wedding Shoppe on black Friday. They knew I was coming in to try on only one dress, and possibly buy it that day. During my fitting, I made sure to ask my consultant if there were any trunk shows coming up in the next couple of months. She hesitated, but said no. Once I said I was going to purchase the dress, she said I could get 20% off if we also got our tuxedos there. I agreed and went downstairs to pay. I asked again if I'd get a discount for paying in full, they said no. Regardless, I paid in full. Just as they were handing me the receipt, a girl behind us asked if we got the ""white Friday special 20% off"". I asked the cashier and she tried to say there wasn't a special that day. I asked to talk to a manager, and she tried to divert me from doing so. Then she caught herself in a lie saying they did have a white Friday special but that she couldn't give me 40% off. (which I never asked for, 20% and 20% doesn't equal 40%...duh). 10 minutes later the manager finally came downstairs, didn't hear my story, just said she wasn't going to give me any more discount. THEN, to top it off, my consultant called and left me a message saying they were right! In summary, they knew I would pay top price for the dress so they took advantage of that. It isn't fair that other people got a larger discount just for being there that day, and I didn't. I demanded my money back, and am happy to say the Wedding Connection in Maplewood is going to give me 30% off after hearing what happened to me at the Wedding Shoppe. Unbelievable... if I could give zero stars, I would have. more

When I first saw the Wedding Shoppe?s location I thought that they would only have high end bridal gowns as they were on Grand Avenue and had a boutique like appearance. After attending the Wedding Fair and talking with the Wedding Shoppe consultants who were there I learned that most of their dresses were priced under $1,000 and that they had dresses for every price range. I made an appointment and went to try on dresses with my Mom and Maid of Honor. The staff was great as they could see that I had people to help me try on the dresses and only stepped in when we seemed lost looking for certain styles or different dress options. I tried on about 8 dresses and knew the second I stepped into ?the dress? that it was mine! The consultant had actually picked this dress out after watching my reactions to other styles I had tried on so they have great personalized service. I knew it was the right dress when I couldn?t stop smiling and my Mom and Maid of Honor burst into tears ? I came back to the Wedding Shoppe on multiple occasions after purchasing my dress to try on veils, accessories, and get bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos for our wedding party. Everyone we met with was very friendly and asked insightful questions to gain an understanding of my style and what I wanted my wedding day to be like. I have never felt more beautiful than the day I got married and I want to say a big Thank You to the Wedding Shoppe for the fabulous dress and service!!! more

My niece first found the dress she liked online then talked to Meghan and came into the shop to see it,and fell in love. It was perfect for her and fit her beautifully. I had a WONDERFUL experience at the Wedding Shoppe! This was my fourth place to go for trying on dresses so I knew what I was looking for in a dress. My consultant, Savanna, was AMAZING! I told her what I was looking for and she kept bringing in dresses that got closer and closer and then, BAM! THE DRESS! I wasn?t expecting that whole ?OMG, this is my dress? feeling, but it happened and all because they were willing to listen to my ideas and they knew their stock of dresses. They don?t allow pictures unless it is the dress you want, so be aware. I would suggest that maybe this not be your first place if you need to take pictures to show others for opinions. I went on a week day evening because I had read the reviews that Saturdays are crazy. Even in the evening it was busy, but it was still fun. Their samples are almost all in good condition and were clean. I thought the prices were appropriate and they have a great selection regardless of your price point. At the time I purchased they offer discounts if you get tuxes through them, but confirm that with your consultant at the time of the appointment in case it changes. Overall, I am very pleased with the experience and will happily recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great selection of dresses to look through to find THE ONE! more

I received the Pink Bridal shirt a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE IT!!! I wear it all the time and I always get a ton of compliments on it. I especially love the back, I didn't realize that it has graphics on it. I like that even people behind me know that I am engaged! I can't wait for my friends and family to get engaged, so I can get them the tshirt too. more

he Wedding Shoppe Inc is a great place to go if you are searching for your wedding party attire. They certainly helped the entire wedding party; I was involved with, from the bride?s dress to the groomsmen tuxes. My three best friends and I went, along with the bride?s mother to pick out bridesmaid dresses. The two other bridesmaids and I had been looking for months on the website trying to gather ideas for the dresses, we had limited parameters from the bride; midnight blue was the color, and we had decided on a cocktail length dress. Therefore, when we went into The Wedding Shoppe for our appointment, the consultant was very helpful in pointing us towards the best designers who would have just the perfect color. All three bridesmaids have very different body styles; one is 5?9? and the other two are 5?3?. The consultant was extremely helpful in knowing that we just needed to begin to try on dresses until we found the perfect one for all three of us! Lucky we did! When taking our measurements, the consultant was great, she really made you think about what size to get, which would look best on you, not worrying about the numbers! She then pointed out the vender finder on the website, where we could find an alterations specialist, if we needed one after the dresses came in. I defiantly used the vender finder; I knew I would need to have my dress shortened, even at the cocktail length. I used the website to find a vendor who would be not only affordable but close to where I lived making appointments very convenient. All in all The Wedding Shoppe, Inc is a wonderful store with a very attentive and dedicated staff. I thank them for all their help and I cannot wait to use them for the time when my special day comes! more

I have actually purchased two bridesmaid's dresses from the Wedding Shoppe. They are always busy and it's easy to see why! So much variety and awesome help! The staff help you find what you're looking for and are time sensitive but not pushy. They're great about suggesting dresses that are similar, trendy or work for each person's body type, depending on what you're looking for. Huge bonus--they're located in a neighborhood with an active nightlife so you can enjoy the dress hunting even after it ends at the Wedding Shoppe. Thanks for making both dress purchases such an enjoyable experience! more

My daughter was in a wedding in April. The bridesmaid dresses were purchased from The Wedding Shoppe. All of the young ladies looked beautiful in their dresses. The bride also purchased her dress from the Wedding Shoppe. She looked amazing. more

I would like to just say that we were in attendance of Brandon and Victoria Weiler's wedding where she mentioned that she purchased her dress from the Wedding Shop. Her dress was to say the least was amazing! She told us her experience that involved the wedding shop and the help from Meghan was very gratifying and professional! My friends and I got our bridesmaid dresses from here. We had a ton of fun trying on dresses and they had such a great selection to choose from. We ended up going with the dress we went with because we all have VERY different body types and the one we choose looked super flattering on all of our bodies. At the wedding, the pastors wife even came up to us and said she had been to a ton of weddings but had never seen 3 girls look so beautiful in one dress. I'm a groomsman in a wedding and going and getting fitted for a tuxedo is kind of a hassle, but my experience to the wedding shop was really worthwhile. The girls who helped me get fitted were extremely friendly and timely. Afterwards I was able to purchase something for my fiancee that she absolutely loved! A must for anybody getting married! We're definitely using the wedding shop for our own wedding! more

I have gotten 2 bridesmaid dresses and also my wedding gown at the Wedding Shoppe. They have wonderful service and reasonable prices. They are always friendly from when you first arrive to when you leave. Lesley has helped me out a few times and she is the best! Also Angela was a sweetheart and helped me search though a lot of gowns! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants great customer service, a very knowledgeable staff, a great gown tux, bridesmaid dress..! more

I recently got married and found my gown at the Wedding Shoppe. Their service was wonderful from trying-on gowns to final alterations (which is sadly being taken away). Sodara who works there from time to time really knows how to make a dress fit!? Lets add customer service is the best ever!!! more

I've been in a couple weddings where we got our bridesmaids dresses from The Wedding Shoppe. I've had nothing but a great experience there. They even altered my bridesmaids dress for me with out ANY problem. Their fitter Elsa is the BEST!! I will always go there!! more

I had a really good experience at the Wedding Shoppe. I found the dress I wanted with relative ease and with a lot of good help from the workers! The wedding Shoppe, was a very good experience for me. My consultant, Laura, was very kind and patient. They had a lot of good dress selections in all price ranges. Although I did not get my dress here, they had many strong options that I placed on my possibility list. A dress placed on my list was dropped down to $250, right in front of my eyes if I bought it that day! One thing that was a little bothersome was that the mirrors were shared by all others trying dresses on, making it a little distracting on a busy afternoon. more

I had an appointment scheduled for myself to try on bridal gowns and my bridesmaid to try on her dresses. I received no help from any one! I pulled all my own dresses, took dresses out of gown bag, tried them on and put them back. It was terrible. No help what so ever, even with a scheduled appointment!!!!!! This store is the best! I was able to find my dress there, my bridesmaids and my flower girl dress as well. I am getting married in September and they have been amazing to work with from start to finish. Every time I have called to check on anything they have been helpful and reassuring. I would highly recommend this store to other brides. My experience has been great and I completely trust that everything will be perfect for my wedding day.
