This store had the best selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses in the twin cities. After visiting another large chain bridal store, I must say the wedding shoppe was a fresh breath of air. Our sales lady were fun, helpful and really cared about our experience. We felt that this shop had a great selection of dresses and the ladies working there were great. I would highly reccommend this shoppe to friends and family. more

I had waited over 6 months before I went shopping for a wedding dress and finding the perfect dress was very important to me. I went shopping last week with my mom and sister and had a truly memorable experience at this shop. I worked with a lady named Caroline and she was so good at what she does. She helped me try on so many styles and helped me narrow down all of my choices. I had no idea what I was looking for and she helped me choose something totally different than what I had originally thought that I wanted. It was kind of a surprise to me what I ended up buying but I am so glad that she had me try on dresses that were out of my comfort zone. I am going to look beautiful on my wedding day and I thank The Wedding Shoppe for an amazing shopping day and helping me find the perfect dress I never knew even existed. I recommend asking for Caroline when you make your appointment, she was helpful, friendly, and made the appointment enjoyable. more

I had gone to the wedding shoppe with my brother's fiance to pick out her wedding dress. She had seen three that she was really interested in online but they didn't have these dresses in the shop so she had to request them and put down a $50 deposit for each dress, a total of $150. She was told that it would be put towards her purchase of her wedding gown so it didn't seem to be that big of a deal to pay ahead of time. When we got to the shop we were escorted upstairs to her fitting room where the three dresses were waiting for her to try on. Along for the ride was myself, my aunt, my mom and the brides best friend. We had to stand in the small hallway in everyone's way because we were not offered anywhere to sit. The consultant was not very helpful at all. It seemed like she knew the sale was already made so why put in any effort. I don't think she even introduced herself. My soon to be sister in law and her best friend were left to try on the different dresses on their own because the consultant went off to work with a different bride. She was not escorted on to the pedestal to get the full effect of the dress and never offered to try on jewelry or headpieces like other brides got to do. Once she decided on the dress she wanted to purchase she was measured and then paid. The rest of us were waiting outside because it was so crowded. After the appointment she told us that she was only credited $50 for the dress she chose instead of the full $150, and as she was leaving the upstairs portion another bride was trying on the dress she brought into the store for free! I think it is ridiculous to ask one bride to pay $150 for dresses to be brought into the store and then allow other brides to try them on for free! I think this is an unfair practice and is a way to rip off brides and make them feel trapped into a decision. What would have happened if she didn't like one of the three dresses!? she would have been out of $150 which can be quite a lot for a young bride on a budget trying to plan her perfect wedding. I suggest that other brides reading this take their business elsewhere. It may have a good name or reputation but it is because some people don't have the courage to speak up about unfair business practices. I personally went to a small privately owned shop and had the one on one attention of the consultant and walked out feeling like I chose the right dress, and not cornered into one. Don't put down money ahead of time so you have the choice to take a dress or leave it. more

This shop is so great! I found my wedding dress with the help of an amazing sales lady named Caroline. She was so helpful and picked a dress for me that I would have never normally tried on. She was insightful to what would look good on my figure and found the perfect dress. She was very good at her job and I could have not found such a beautiful dress without her help and expert opinion. I would highly recommend this shop to other people. There exceptional selection and excellent customer service made all the difference in me finding exactly what I was looking for. more

After driving by this store almost everyday on my way to work, I finally got the chance to look at this shop for my own wedding dress. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and brought my two sisters, my best friend, Grandma and my mom to the appointment. My sales girl was great and welcomed everyone I had brought with to the appointment. It was really important to me that everyone could go with! I tried on about 15 dresses and ended up buying the first dress I had tried on. I found the perfect dress and only spent $899. I thought that I was going to have to spend $2000 to find what I was looking for, but finding a dress for $899 was a bonus. I love my dress and I loved my shopping experience. It was a perfect day of shopping with my family. more

I went in to look for a bridal gown, and was astonished by the exceptional service! The consultant I worked with was very bubbly and friendly. She was genuinely excited about my engagement, and eager to help me find the perfect gown. She was completely honest with me about the styles that looked good on me, and she didn't hesitate to point out styles that did not suit me. She also did not pressure me to buy the most expensive gown in the shop. In fact, the one she picked out for me was one of their most inexpensive gowns! And it looked absolutely fabulous! I would have guessed that it cost at least $1500 but it was a third of that. Their selection is fantastic, and they have plenty of gorgeous dresses for brides on a cheaper budget. The Wedding Shoppe is superior for their service and selection. Bridal gown shopping should be a memorable experience, and the Wedding Shoppe made it one that I will never forget (in a good way, of course)! They also have a great selection of bridesmaid dresses. I have also purchased that in the past, and was very impressed at that time as well. Make sure to come in. I promise you won't be disappointed :) more

My bridal party and I loved our shopping experience this past weekend in the bridesmaids area at the wedding shoppe. I have 9 bridesmaids and needless to say a lot of the girls in my bridal party are very opinionated with a lot of ideas of what they would like to wear for my wedding. My sales girl was fantastic and was able to find Alfred Sung dresses so each of my bridesmaids could choose a different dress in black. I had never thought of this and it made my job as a bride so much easier. The girls ended up ordering their dresses and they were all under $150. The wedding shoppe had the best dresses from anywhere we had shopped and their prices were so reasonable. One more thing checked off my list, I could not believe how easy they made it for us. more

This shop is awesome! I went shopping last Thursday night and had the most amazing time shopping for my bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses. I found ""the dress"" after trying on six dresses. I had been previously been shopping the weekend before and knew what I wanted. I was looking for a dress with straps, which seems to be impossible since all the dresses at the other places I visited were strapless. My sales lady found me a gorgeous lace dress with straps and it fit like a glove. I was able to buy the floor model and get an amazing deal. I was so happy that not only did I get a beautiful dress but it was a killer deal. My bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom helped me pick out the bridesmaid dresses later that evening and the once again the staff was delightful in the bridesmaids area. I loved my shopping experience at this store. Great dresses and amazing deals. Plus, the staff was very friendly which was a positive. more

What I love most about this store is their great customer service. I felt completely waited on hand and foot. My sales girl helped me from start to finish in and out of my dresses and gave me wonderful feedback as tried on. She really helped me find out what works best for my shape and the appropriate look for where I am having the wedding. In a world where customer service is almost gone, the wedding shoppe still offered one on one service which I truly appreciated. Also, I really liked how they acommadated my sister who is in a wheel chair. They had a fitting room on the main floor where I could include my sister. The whole shopping experience was very special. Needless to say, I found my perfect dress and am so excited to wear it soon. The little extra touches of kindness and great customer service made this store stand out amongst the other shops we had visited. I will never forget how wonderful they treated my family and I. It truly was an incredible experience. more

Words cannot express how wonderful this shop is! I recently purchased my bridal gown and bridesmaids there and my service from start to finish has been phenomenal. This store has an excellent selection of dresses at fairly reasonable prices. Where else in the twin cities are you able to try on over 1,000 bridal dresses; the selection is truly unbeatable. My sales consultant helped me find the perfect wedding dress for my upcoming destination wedding and I cannot wait to wear the dress.The bridesmaid shopping was easy and affordable for my girls. There dresses were $120 bucks and so incredibly cute. This shop is professional yet very comfortable. The best part is, is that the whole shopping process has been fun and not stressful. I love this store and would recommend the wedding shoppe to everyone. more

My first impression of this place was that it was a LOT smaller than I had expected. There were a few other brides there and I felt a little under the microscope. The first time I brought my mom and sister and they were able to snag the one piece of seating they had. My consultant was very nice, and let us pull dresses. I did eventually find a couple that I really liked, and my consultant wrote them down and we decided we would come back later. Believing I would be buying one of these dresses when I returned, we put down a $100 deposit to secure the discount. However, these things didn't really damage the experience - it was what happened after. I'm really starting to believe this ""discount"" is a way to get you to commit before you're ready. When I got back to try on my dresses a few weeks later, I had gathered my mom, sister, cousin, and future mother-in-law, assuming we'd be choosing my dress. It was at the end of the evening on a weekday, so I assumed it would be less busy, which it was, but my ladies were made to stand wherever there was room. The worst was, when we got there, we found out that the sample of one of the dresses had been sold, so I had nothing to compare the other dress to. They didn't even call! My consultant informed me that if she had known she would have called [I feel bad that she was put in that position by the others] - but it was still an entire waste of time and gas, especially since I had gathered everyone to come and my fiance's mom drove all the way out there. I did end up trying on some more dresses, but I was sooo disappointed that I wasn't really in the mood. My mom tried to either get our deposit back (which they refused) or explore other options, but nothing was what we wanted or even could do. I found another dress that was okay, but was COMPLETELY turned off when the (I think) owner came up and tried to talk me into that dress. It felt really skeezy and uncomfortable. Instead of paying attention to how I felt (which was complete disappointment) she tried to sell me on the shape of it and how it was a ""perfect evening - er, afternoon - er, winter gown"" (she changed her points as she learned details of our wedding). My consultant did call afterward, but I didn't know what to tell her. I was soured by the experience and am NOT good with confrontation, so I didn't know what to say. I got another call later from someone else saying we have to order my dress and get me sized - for what dress?! I didn't order one. I ended up going to a different, more modest shop with a bigger selection. I had a wonderful experience there and a consultant who offered insight and paid attention to my reactions and taste. I found a dress that I am in LOVE with and will definitely recommend this place over The Wedding Shoppe. more

Yes the have great dresses. I lucked out and had a fabulous consultatant who listened to what I wanted and what I wanted to spend and she did a great job of narrowing it down to my dress! I put a desposit down that day to save 10% b/c I knew I'd be buying my dress from there, but there were 2 that I was deciding between. I brought my mom back the next day and the associate who helped me the first day wasn't there (which I knew ahead of time) but when I finally decided on my dress and the new associate wrote up my purchase she forgot the 10%, not a big deal she changed it, but I totally overheard her talking about the fact that I really shouldn't get the 20% b/c it really wasn't the same day. Um, hello I can hear you! Not to mention it was w/i 24hrs and I had put a $100 deposit down. more

I just absolutely loved this store. I had an amazing consultant who not only helped me pick out an amazing wedding dress, but bridesmaid dresses as well. I would highly recommend this store to other brides to be. They offer an unbeatable selection and amazing prices. I found my dress for $900 and my girls found a bridesmaid dress that they absolutely love for $108. This store is a one of a kind shop with charm. After visiting two other bridal shops, there is no way i would have not purchased my wedding dress and bridesmaids from this store. I had an amazing experience to remember and give this shop two thumbs up! more

I recently went in to the Wedding Shoppe, and made it clear that I was ready to buy a dress that same day. I don't think the salesperson cracked a smile during the whole experience. I wear a size 12 in jeans, and had trouble finding samples that would fit over my hips. The salesperson didn't offer to put on any veils or other accessories, even after I found a dress I liked. She made no effort at all to make the sale. Overall, just not a good experience. I felt like I was just one more person in the dressing room, and the salesperson could care less whether or not she sold me a dress. Needless to say, I won't be going back! more

After trying on 3 dresses I found my dream dress! I'm 5'6"" and weigh 124 pounds. They sales lady told me I am measured at a size 4 (which I already knew), but should order a size 6 because Maggie Sottorro dresses run a size small. Upon picking up my dress, it didn't fit at all! With 2 in. heels on, I still need quite a bit of length taken off. The dress is mermaid style and supposed to be fitted, but I can barely breathe in it! For alterations they have to move over the entire back piece to loosen it up. The bust is also made for a C cup, so much alterations is needed in the bust as well, since I am a A cup. When I bought the dress the said I would need minimal alterations, BOY WERE THEY WRONG! after researching maggie dresses I found they typically run 2 sizes smaller, and are made for large busted woman! So basically, you are supposed to be 5'9 or taller, weigh only 125 for that height and be at least a C cup to fit that style dress. THe sales lady straight up lied to me to get me to buy the dress! I spent $1100 on it, and an extra $500 on alterations, and that's going through someone I know, not one of the tailors they recommended! more

This store is absolutely amazing! I loved my consultant! From the moment I met her to finalizing the sale, she was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. I visited this store on a busy Thursday night and tried on about 8 dresses before making my decision. I was looking for a ballgown dress that was under $1000 and most importantly, the dress had to have a tulle skirt. This style is not the easiest to find and especially on a budget. My sales lady found the perfect tulle dress and it was only $799. I could have gave her a hug and a kiss when I finally found the dress. I had been to four other stores and could not find what I was looking for, I couldn't believe I had found ""the one"". My experience at this store was incredible and I can't stop referring my friends, family, and co-workers to this store. If you are looking for a beautiful bridal gown with uniqueness while still on a budget, this is the store for you to go to. more

Overall, I was very happy with my day. I got a dress that I ADORE, and it only took 3 dresses to get me there. I went on a Saturday afternoon, which I probably wouldn't recommend to anybody claustrophobic since it was incredibly crowded. We shopped for our bridesmaids dresses first, and that was an ok experience. The lady who was assigned to us kind of disappeared, and other lady ended up helping us pull dresses after my MOH said something about looking for a particular style. The 2nd lady was very nice and had good intentions, but we found our own dress. My bridesmaids were happy with the dress, and the ladies were very helpful for measurements and ordering once we picked out the dress. Our appointment downstairs ran a little long, but we managed to go upstairs for my appointment after about a 30 minute wait (again, understandable for a Sat). I worked with Megan, and she was super good. She got what I was going for, and she pulled the perfect dress. I was super discouraged after trying on the first 2 since I felt like they looked terrible on me, but the 3rd one was magic. I tried on a couple more, but none of them compared. I think the most important aspect is that we all got the dresses we needed, and we love them. more

There is so much to love about the Wedding Shoppe. The first time I went there to try on dresses I was just with my sister-n-law and it was on a Tuesday afternoon so it was pretty quiet in there. Sue was amazing! Even though she was working with someone else when we came in she made an effort to make us feel welcome and she gave us her full attention as soon as she was able. She was very friendly, personable, and helpful. I went in a second time with 6 family members/friends and it was on a Saturday afternoon. Although the store was very busy we got in just a few minutes after our appointment. I had narrowed it down to 2 dresses and the person helping us (wish I could remember her name as she was fantastic as well) was very accomodating to our large group. One of the dresses I was trying on had a large flower that is pinned to it but it was not in the bag with the dress. It really makes the dress and the associate spent a great deal of time locating the flower and didn't show any frustration with me for requesting it. I loved the service, the selection and the uniqueness of the shop. I'm happy that I found my dress there and could give the Wedding Shoppe my business, would recommend it to anyone! more

The didn't have my appointment so that started off a horrible experience. They didn't have a single dress I wanted to try in the store and very few other dresses in the right size. We also went to look at bridesmaid dresses and they had them, in sample sizes. None of my bridesmaid wear a 6, not even I do, so we couldn't even see them on anyone with a real body and when asked, a very rude woman pointed me to the deepest darkest corner and said thats where the plus sizes were kept and thats all they had. We left after that because it was a lost cause. I called (after I calmed down) to see if they would get my favorite dress in, the woman on the phone was snippy, short and didn't even check because they said if they had it, I would have tried it on and then pretty much hung up on me. I also waited on hold without talking to anyone for 2+ minutes to get that useless response. I went to The Wedding Connection and they were awesome, so thank you Wedding Shoppe, for letting me find much a much better experience elsewhere. more

I was amazed at the amount of dresses this store has to offer! I thought their selection was unbeatable and I loved how the dresses were arranged by price. I had an extremely nice consultant that helped me in and out of each gown and gave me her honest opinion on each style which I truly appreciated. I thought this store had class, charm and the best customer service I have received dress shopping. I had been to 3 other shops and was not treated as well as when I was at this shop. My shopping experience was one to remember and I would highly recommend this store to other brides. I found the perfect dress for under $1,000 and am incredibly happy. more
