(Brief Intro) Both me and my cousin are getting married. I'm her maid of honor, and she's my matron of honor. She lives in GA & I live in NYC. Since I was visiting her for a few weeks, we decided to start looking at wedding gowns. This day was supposed to be a special day for both of us! We had our family there and this dump was just an embarrassment.
She isn't too savvy when it comes to planing a wedding or bridal lingo. We both had appointments for two separate times just so we could give each other our full support. Mine was for 1pm and hers was for 2:30pm. Once we showed up, we did the extended sign in, and waited for our consultants. Two little old white ladies were going to work with us... My cousin got seen before me [which isn't the way we wanted it-- but whatever] and her consultants name was Sheeri (or something like that). The beginning of the appointment was OK aside from their lack of ability to maintain appointments.
Once we picked out the dresses and my cousin went into the room to try it on, sheeri's attitude began. My cousin is very shy about her body (she's saving herself for marriage) so she asked me to come in and help her cause she's more comfortable with me. My aunt snapped a picture on her camera phone of her daughter in the gown and they told us it wasn't allowed. OK fine! No pics were taken after that. But every time we touched our phones Sheeri felt the need to continuously say something about us being on our phones. Not to mention, she sucked her teeth when my cousin said she didn't know what a blusher was. Seriously? Not everyone knows that! Blusher-The sheer fabric that goes over your face while walking down the aisle. Yes, I thought it was the veil that went over your face and on your head.
From that moment we were fed up! Once it came time for me to pick my dresses, my consultant pointed me to a room that had the plus size dresses. I'm a size 18, but I could only get into a size 26. whoooaaa! Their sizes run extremely small! Most of their samples are a size 10.IF YOU'RE A SIZE 16+, IT'S A WASTE OF TIME COMING HERE! She didn't even help me put on my dress! my cousin had to do that feeble old womans job for her. She also practically accused my cousin of steeling her cheap ass clamps! If you were doing your job--you wouldn't have to wonder where your clamps were!!!! When she put me into the 26 dress, she acted as if it was sooooo tight. ""oh, am i too pulling the strings too tight... can you breathe... i don't think this could zip..."" I promise you, the dress zipped and laced up all the way!!!!! I just had a baby and gained 60lbs during the pregnancy and only lost 30... she made me feel like shyt! Then that wench had the audacity to jump into my personal conversation when I said I was going to go to Bridals By Lori!!! She asked what's my budget! I told her $4000!!! She probably thought we went to their store because their dresses run from $200-$1800 and assumed we couldn't afford anything better. The only reason we went there is cause it was close to us and on the top of the Google search list! I wish I read the reviews before going there.
A day that was supposed to be soooo amazing turned into turmoil.
To sum up everything in a nutshell.... this place is horrific! Unless you're you're skinny & white... they don't really care about your business.
But It's not the end of the world because their dresses are low quality fabrics, no one in that store gives a shyt about the customers, and like aI said, unless you're skinny & white... you'll get treated like shyt!
Thanks for f%cking up my day Bride Beautiful! And if I could have given it a negative infinity--I would! I don't even write reviews.... But once a place really pisses me off like this... I'm finding your store and writing a review.
