We arrived without an appointment but there were only 2 people there besides us and 6 staff in the store. We were given instructions by the manager and handed our clips and left alone to browse, YEH! Then we were swooped upon by a sales person, Nigeria, who informed us that she was with another bride and would be working between the two. My daughter found 6 lovely dresses and with only 5 clips asked very nicely if she could try a sixth one. Nigeria was extremely rude and said that under no circumstances could she try a 6th. I tried to explain that we had driven 50 miles and would appreciate the consideration. She flately denied our request. When my daughter was ready to try on gowns she was left in a room alone and brought one gown at the time. I was not allowed to help her at all. Nigeria brought her out and promptly left giving us no time to ask questions. When my daughter was left standing in a dress in the aisle for over 10 minutes I went to a sales person hanging bridesmaid dressses to ask for assitance. Amy was great and stayed with us the entire time. Nigeria was a little more than upset and had the bad manners to show it. The dress prices were in a wide range and some could be bought that day at a discount (beware of tears, stains and missing beading). This place nibbles also, adding in numerous charges that should be included for the price, but at least they tell you that on the price tag. I went to Bride Beautiful on a Sunday afternoon. It took about 45 minutes before they were ready to help me with the dresses, but I was willing to wait since I came without an appointment. I was assigned Angela, who proved to be knowledgeable about the stock. She was really helpful in the dressing room and made sure the dress looked as good as it could even though it didn't fit right. I had no problem with the ""add-ons"" to the dress like sleeves. I just paid a little extra for the dress company to make them. My dress, as well as the bridesmaids dresses, came in over a month early, and I had a nice message from Angela on my answering machine at home telling me they were ready. Overall, I recommend this bridal shop. It's a busy place, but it's also nice to see the other brides trying on dresses. Pros: good selection of dresses, helpful staff more

I came here on a Saturday and was, after a 30 minute wait, assigned to Cheri. We were given five clips and told to walk around the store and put the clips on whichever dresses we liked. Cheri moved them all to the dressing room for us and had them waiting when we got there, which was nice. We were completely left alone while looking through the dresses, which was nice to me. The dresses are all on manequins so it's easy to see them - much better than having them all hanging on a salesrack so that you have to pull them out one by one! Don't expect to feel all that welcome here though, even with an appointment. The saleswomen, mine at least, act rushed and irritated when you don't make a decision very quickly. Also, you are not allowed to take pictures of the dresses which makes it very hard to compare later on...trust me, after going to three different stores, you start to forget exactly why you chose a certain dress as your favorite! Pictures are really helpful and I'm not sure why they don't allow it here. From what I saw, most dresses are in the $1000 range, so it's not terrible. I won't buy from here though, mostly because I felt rushed and talked ""down"" to. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU PURCHASE YOUR BRIDAL GOWN FROM THIS STORE!!! \r \r I went to this store with my daughter to look at wedding dresses. After having tried on dozens of dresses at other stores - my daughter turned to me and said "This it the one." The associate took her measurements and told her that she would wear a size 6 - we ordered a size 8 - just in case. We paid the full amount of the dress the day we ordered it. The dress finally arrived and my daughter went to try on the dress of her dreams. My daughter had NOT gained any weight - but surprisingly the dress could not be zipped up. The sales associate looked at my daughter and had the audacity to ask my daughter to loose some weight. After complaining to the manager, they re-ordered another dress in a size 10 and told her the dress would be available on 1 May 2007. I thought that finding a wedding dress would be a pleasant experience until I went to this place. On a tip from an acquaintance, I went to Bride Beautiful thinking I would find a reasonably priced dress. Instead I found rude employees who seem much more interested in who gets the commission from your sale than if you are happy or even find a dress. First, I was told I could pick 5 dresses to try - which I did - while rushed by a salesgirl( who happened to be the one who answered the phone when I called the day before to inquire what the store's hours were) - hence I ended up stuck with. What I did not understand was that you can ONLY try on 5 dresses then have to make another appointment with the SAME rude person who apparently are indepted to because she helped you for 30 minutes. I asked to try on another dress and was told ""No, you had your 5 dresses. If you try on more dresses then you are only playing dress up."" I am a grown, professional woman who needs more than 1 hour to decide a 1000 dollar purchase. I try on more than 5 shirts when I am going to buy a 50dollar shirt! I get better customer service at Old Navy than this. I understand that with limited dressing rooms you have to limit the time, but there was only 1 OTHER GIRL in the store trying on dresses. I intentionally went in the middle of the day on a week day to avoid this rushed service. I have never had such poor customer service in my life! I am still furious from this treatment and reading the previous reviews, it sounds like this is just business as usual for this place. I do have to say that one person was helpful, but still insisted that I schedule my next appointment around HER schedule - even though I explained I had limited time to find a dress and that the friend I was bringing in was being inconvenienced for her benefit. They had very pretty dresses that seemed to be well taken care of. I recommend a lady named Cheri.She was the only polite person on staff.its an old and stuffy building and was extremely busy. They will not let you take pictures either.The dress selection was nice though. What rude people! I called to try and make an appointment and the woman was downright nasty to me. First she told me I didn't need one, then she changed her tune and said they took appointments from 1p-4p THEN changed her mind again and said that I had to be there by 3:30pm. I went to Bride Beautiful to look at bridesmaids' separates shortly after getting engaged myself. The wedding I was to be a BM in was in California, so I only needed to find the pieces and sizes that I wanted the bride to order for me in California. Well, I guess that was a stupid thing to tell the people... because after a woman finally came to help me and I told her that... she stopped half-way into the bridesmaids' room and said, ""The Alfred Angelos are along the back wall in yellow"" and then turned and walked away! Now I wasn't expecting an open-armed welcome, since I wasn't BUYING anything from them, but come on!! I fumbled my way through the selection (very helpful that they have skirts in size 12 and tops in size 6) for a while before realizing I'd just have to pick something and get the size by my measurements. I went to the front again and asked if someone could take my measurements... they said it'd be a minute. I stood there for (no joke) 15 minutes and no one even looked at me again. I left in tears, thinking this was how all bridal shops were going to be, and I didn't want to go looking for my own dress! The crappy experience actually prevented me from going gown shopping for my wedding until seven months later! Needless to say, I skipped Bride Beautiful and had much better experiences at LaRaine's and Bel Fiore Bridal (where I ended up getting my dress). It was nice that while appointments are recommended, they are not required. We were able to walk in and were waited on in less than 10 minutes. We were waited on by a very friendly and knowledgeable young lady named Tekila Frazier. The gown selection was vast and their procedure very easy. My future sister-in-law went back the next day and purchased her dress. I highly recommend Bride Beautiful. Pros: parking, customer service, selection Cons: very busy on Saturdays more

This shop's employees are interested in one thing- getting your money. Once that feat has been accomplished they no longer care whether or not the product they are peddling is sent to you or not. The employees are rude and lack the ability to create a solution to problems they themselves create. I would not recomend getting anything from this shop. more

After delivering horrible dresses for $170 a pop, and telling us it would be another $80 to alter them,(which we were never told until after they came in), we decided we didnt want them.We asked for a refund and our deposits back, the owner stood there and screamed at us for 40 minutes, in front of other customers, then the owner started screaming at our pregnant bridesmade about how it wasnt the stores fault that she was pregnant and the store wouldnt work with her to get the dress right. I happened to be in the area so I thought I would check this place out for Maggie Sottero gowns and bridesmaid dresses. The place looked old along with most of the gowns they had there. I stood by the front desk for 15 min before the sales clerk even spoke to me. They had none of the gowns I wanted to see and didn't even offer to order any samples in. I drove from SC to Atlanta one weekend for a dress shopping excursion. I told the lady helping me at Bride Beautfiul that I drove from SC. She told me to pick out 5 dresses to try on. I did and I didn't like any of them. She then proceeded to tell me that I would have to come back again to try on more. Turns out they have a five dress limit! I reminded her that I drove all the way from SC to go gown shopping. She asked if I could come back another weekend? What? No, I couldn't. And, they don't even take appointments! But, I have heard from other brides that they will take appointments. Well, they wouldn't make me one. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when they wouldn't let her shop. I went down the street to Bridal Sense and spent $1200 on my dress there. I also bought my veil and shoes there. All 5 of my bridesmaids bought their dresses there too. So, Bride Beautiful lost out on $1900 from me. more

My dress came in and fit perfectly, the only altering I had done was the hem. The seamstress did a good job and the saleslady was very helpfull. But be prepared to fight the crowd if you come in on a Saturday. more

I got my bridesmaid dresses for my wedding at Bride Beautiful. The prices were excellent and the dresses came in early. My one quip was that they had the girls order up in size and every single one of them had to have the dress altered back down. more
