Aspen Auto Clinic-Tutt

As always, great customer service. One problem, upon turning on the ignition switch, there is a loud clatter prior to starting the car. The car starts immediately, but this clatter sound was never there before. Would this be normal seeing as the gears on the new starter have not yet seated with the flywheel? more

I was dumbfounded when I got my car back much earlier (by days) than first expected. Only very slightly disappointed this wasn't found before it became a problem. more

We took our honda crv to this repair shop because their advertisement said they specialize in hondas. At first they could not figure out what was wrong with my car. When I explained the problems they said it was the relay. Then there was another problem but instead of checking what should have been basic they charged me $100 to diagnose another problem. Then proceeded to tell me it would be an additional $600 to fix. I paid $380 and when I drove it home it stalled out on me. So I took it to another mechanic and he said it was the distributor cap. Which was $30 all together. The mechanic was nice enough to not charge me labor since I paid so much at this shop. I will not recommend this place to anyone and will not go back. As a matter of fact the other mechanic said I should get my money back for a not so good job. more

I was impressed by the quickness that the struts in the back of my Mazda were installed. It sounds much better and has a smoother ride. I will most likely use Aspen for all future repairs. more

Looking for an alternative to dealer service for my Toyota Tundra at 60k miles. Found Aspen Auto Clinic online. Got an appointment next morning for an estimate. Super friendly folks and very clean facility. Their estimate was over $100 less than the dealer for the same service and they were ready to do the work right then. Since I was waiting, they fast-tracked my truck and got it to me 2 hrs earlier than I expected. I was most impressed that they showed me samples of critical fluids (brake, power steering, etc) They were changing engine oil & trans, differential and transfer case fluids so I didn't see those but was told about their condition. The dealer had offered a "brake system flush" sight unseen which would have been a wasted $120. The Aspen mech checked my battery and found it to be needing replacement and they told me it was still under warranty at Toyota so I should take it to them. Aspen didn't try to sell me a battery. Another $100 or so saved. I figure Aspen saved me over $300 with all that. I also liked the idea that they test drove the vehicle and checked/tightened all underbody and drive train nuts and bolts. Since we're leaving soon on a 5k mile trip towing a 2.5 ton travel trailer, that was really important to me. I will return! more

Unsatisfactory and quite frustrating.... After numerous times replacing the rack, and replacing the power steering pump (pump at my cost), the steering is still much too stiff; almost feels as though there is no power steering. Also, when I returned home after the past couple visits for work on the rack, a wrench was left by my windshield on one occasion and a wrench and shop rag were left under my hood in the fender channel the last visit. more
