I recently took my ailing dog to this hospital's emergency ward in the middle of the night. The staff and especially the attending vet were totally professional and competent. The vet correctly diagnosed my dog's condition (cancer) and I wound up having to put her down that night - a thoroughly traumatic experience, but one which was much mitigated by the competence, compassion and professionalism of the vet. I, and my fiance, have had many dealings with the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital, and they are also extremely competent and professional. But they are also at least twice as expensive as Old Marple; in some cases many times more expensive. Despite it's small size in comparison to Penn, we found the service we received at Old Marple to be more than satisfactory.
