I have two stories to share, a number of years separating each.\r

Back in the early 90s, my family had a cat that had severely dislocated her left rear leg and we were told by multiple other places that there was no way to repare the joint, and that it would either simply keep dislocating, or we would need to remove the leg. Old Marple took one look and told us of a new procedure that removed the ball of the femur (leg bone) and that they'd had great success with the new procedure. Long story short, it worked great and the cat went on to live a happy healthy 8 years after the surgery with abosolutely 0 mobilitiy problems.\r

The second story is when my Golden retriever suffered a double compound fracture of his lower jaw bone.
