Don't use this vet 12/28/2006

Let me start off by saying that 1 star is too many. Old Marple in my eyes should have a big fat 0!! We have a 6 month old puppy that went in to be "fixed" and to have her dew claw removed. They told us they would call after the surgery to let us know her condition. It was 8pm before WE had to call and get information. We were put on hold 4 times for 10 minutes at a time and when we were finally helped we were told she is "fine." We were not able to get any other information from them. This was 3 days ago. Our puppy is still not eating and will not drink water, she has be vomiting for two days now with an empty stomach. We took her back today and found out that she was not fed or given water in her over night stay there, and then they wanted us to admit her again. We refused and they gave us a hard time about it. I will never go back to this vet, and I suggest that no one should use them. They have horrible customer service skills and are not friendly and do not know what is going on! I more

MY 6 MONTH OLD ENGLISH MASTIFF HAD BECOME VERY ILL. SHE WAS VERY LIMP AND VOMITING. I CALLED OLD MARPLE AND THEY RUSHED US IN...I FOUND OUT THE FOOD WAS CAUSING HER ILLNESS. THEY WERE SO PATIENT WITH MY 100+POUND DOG EVA. WE WERE TAKEN INTO A BACK ROOM WITH THE DOCTOR AND SHE DISCUSSED WITH USE WHICH TYPES OF FOOD WOULD DO WELL FOR EVA. SHE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE. THE VET WAS GOOD TO US. THEY TURNED WHAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE INTO A PLEASURABLE ONE. ALSO, THEY ARE NOT COSTLY. more

Old Marple Vet A++ 6/2/2006

They have a 24 hour emergency clinic and they are wonderful. I have a 9 yr old dog that was not "himself" and I was absolutely terrified to bring the dog in, the vet spent time with me asked me if I had any questions and took good care of my dog! My dog is fine and he was just tired, but it was nice to have the comfort of a nice vet! more

Great for Emergency Care 3/24/2006

This place is outstanding for its level of care, especially in an emergency situation. I've had to take my dogs there at 10 pm on a Sunday night, and have never felt like I didn't get top-notch service. They are thorough, definitely know what they're doing and are flexible with appointments. There are a couple of others in the area that are cheaper, but the level of care at Old Marple is well worth the price. PROS: Great care, flexible hours CONS: more

We have had animals for over 20 years and have always had them cared for at Old Marple. The place and staff have changed and expanded over the years and it has become a well-oiled machine of efficiency. They are open for emergencies 24 hours/7 days a week. Numerous vets and assistants on staff. Good prices for flea/tick and other medicines if your animal is a patient.(better than web sites like petmeds) They are also a good resource if you are looking for a particular breed. more
