While the interior was gorgeous and relaxing...the service was snotty and the massage was annoying. My massuse talked the entire hour and the massage was one of the worst ive eve...

Cheap version of everything for a high price... 3/2/2005

Thank goodness the massage itself was nice! The robe was ichy and torn in places (old - ick!), the slippers were $1.99 kmart ones, and a maintenance man actually walked into the shower room when I was drying my hair (good thing the robe was tied!). It just seems as everything from the sheets on the massage table to the bathroom products in giant plastic jugs were the discount versions. Add that to the unfriendliness of the person on the phone who made my appointment, and it's quicky the last place I will call on my list! Pros: pleasant massage Cons: cheap everything more

Bad experience 2/28/2005

One of the worst salon experiences ever. I was very unhappy with the service. The stylist that I had made the appointment with was not the person that did the coloring. This person just mixed up the color and continued on to the next appointment. Someone who I assumed was in training did the rest. Most salons brush color onto the roots of your hair, so the color is evenly applied and well distributed. My hair color was applied right out of the bottle, which resulted in me having to return to the salon the following week to touch up the missed spots. I don't mind paying for salon services if I am happy with the results, but I paid over $200. to experience something that I could have done at home myself for $8.00. Needless to say that was my last visit. Cons: service, expensive more

I had Elaine for a Swedish massage and Jiya for a classic European facial. Elaine was experienced, discrete and professional. She needed to massage a bit deeper though. Jiya was also experienced, only that she was more concerned about what I do for a living instead of telling me what cosmetic products she was putting on my face. However, she did answered all my questions thoroughly. Other staff were very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean, well-kept, and well-scented. I felt extremely relaxed, comfortable, and pampered. I would definitely do it again every month. Pros: Very friendly staff, wkday experie'd staff, clean,accommodating Cons: pricey, no small size rope more

Looks like they hired alot of new blood in the hair salon which is now so much bigger than before. Its nice to see some fresh young faces. I went to Toppers thinking it would be a good experience but I was wrong. The aesthician ruined my shirt with wax, burned me and complained that I had light hair and couldn't see it!! I had to tell her many times that she was missing spots and ended up leaving me burn marks!! will NEVER go again more

Rotten 65th Birthday Gift 8/19/2003

What should have left my mom looking wonderful and feeling pampered left her looking nice but feeling rotten. I worked VERY hard to schedule things for my Mom's 65th birthday so that she would have her services on the womens floors and wouldn't have to pass through the public lobby on her way to her appointments. Despite my efforts, Mom was given a locker in the basement, so she had to walk through the lobby IN HER BATHROBE to get to her massage. (Theres another lockeroom on the massage floor.) NONE of her appointments were on the womens floors. Also, instead of being sent directly to her next appointment, she had to go back to the lobby and wait in line (in her bathrobe) to be told where to go next. No surprise--the front desk staff was arrogant and dismissive. Naturally, my complaints to Toppers have been ignored. Cons: front desk attiude, poor scheduling, inconsiderate staff more

The worst bikini wax ever 7/2/2003

Not only did they keep me waiting for 30 minutes for an appointment at 12:45 on a Monday, but the bikini waxer burned me pretty badly and gave me a completely uneven waxing. She pulled the strip, it stayed on me, so put more wax over it and tried to pull it off with another strip. It was a nightmare. more
