Solar Bear

Not much was done for my initial $39 service. My furnace was blown out because it was "dirty", I didn't get my free freeon because it is the wrong time of year and too cold to check. I did have enough confidence in them to sign up for a 5-year plan to keep my system running and clean but will have to withhold any judgement until I actually see their work. Rick was great! He noticed that my AC was not level and he and his trainee leveled it. He was helpful in explaining things. My lack of enthusiasm about recommending Solar Bear is due to my interactions with Mike Bidwell. I'm still not certain my AC needed the single replacement part he sold me for $150 (check made payable to Mike) on his initial visit, nor do I have complete faith in the need for the other parts that were replaced. I give you high marks for the duct cleaning and for the AC clean up done by Rick, but I'll have to have more good interactions with Solar Bear before I can recommend you to my friends. more

My experience with this company was nothing short of wonderful. I had they come to my mothers home for 39 dollars, first off, 39 dollars to flush the hot water heater, treat my drains and check all the plumbing in my home is un heard off. I thought as first theres a catch but there wasnt they really did all of that for 39 dollars. I did have a small leak in my hot water heater . I knew that my hot water heater was 15 years old it was costing me more money to leave it in my house than to finiance another one that is energy efficent . they suggested i replace it . I said if i dont replace it how much does this visit really cost bob the master plumber and co owner of solar bear said 39 dollars its that simple. he was going to pack up his gear but i told him ill give it a shot . they replaced it that day removed the old one for a great price i priced the water heater alone they sold it to me a bradford white high capacity water heater for less then what home depot or lowes would ever sell it to me for. installtion was fast freindly and neat . Neat is important to me as a customer I have a nice home I want to keep it that way. Installtion was a flat rate again unheard of in this industry. Im very happy I wish I had the money for there service plan i did not , guess what didnt matter bob said if there is any issue with there work they would come back in the following 6 months and check on it free.... wow, i know it sounds crazy but my mom is old i live with her pay the rent make sure she doesnt get taking for a ride she didnt i would trust them when i wasnt home with mom... I dont want to talk numbers but i dare you to find a company that will install anything at flat rates or work with you and finance ytou in house my credit shot they still helped me . the last time i had a plumber out for me and mom was about 3 years ago i had a pipe burst cost my 500 dollars to repair i showed bob the repair he took a picture of it and sent it off to the bbb for me to show that someone had screwed me over and even offered to help rectify the problem at a fraction of the cost since i was tapped out after the hot water heater so he insisted he make a small repair as part of my service since it could effect my hot ater heater he said if it leaks he come out rain or shine and get it taking care of when i was ready I dont know about the other people on here but iI think they didnt get the right Solat bear i couldnt be happier more

I am an out of state landlord. my tenants called you to service the air/heating unit. your service tech went out immediately and fixed the unit right away. I wasn't able to pay the full amount upfront, so you allowed me to pay in 2 installments. I really appreciated that. I replaced my entire Heating and AC with Solar Bear last April and have been very happy with the system, and the follow-up. I signed up for an extended care plan, where they come out each year to do check-ups, and they just completed the first one. I also hired them to clean my ducts, which I am happy with. My only concern has been that part of the program included plumbing check-ups, and as part of that service, they were to flush my hotwater heater. They were scheduled to come last Friday, but did not come, nor did they call. more

Solar Bear did a great job at a reasonable price. Was very good about coming back when our renter had some issues with the new system. more

I spent three weeks with air conditioner companies jerking me around and then I was referred to Solar Bear who came out the day after I called and installed the new unit. Great customer service. I would definitely refer them or use them again myself. more

Justin was great. He came in and did the tune up for us and suggested somethings we could do. And suggested the 3yr service plan also which we are thinking about getting. more

I purchased a water heater from Solar Bear, they also induced me to purchase a 5yr service contract,incl replacing pipes for all plumbing in the house.The contract promises twice yearly inspection & cleaning of plumbing & a/c in the house. So far, so good. Hopefully they stick to the contract promises. They also sent me a gas rebate, which could've come from the gas co. but turned out too complicated, which I appreciated. more

Great service from the time I called to the time they finished the work. I've used them several times and each time their work is done professionally, timely and economically. Definitely would use again. more
