Great Quality Work and Honest Too, 11/7/2010

Kevin and his whole team at Polar Bear are fantastic. They are friendly, do quality work at a reasonable price, with no delays. And they are honest too. What more can you ask for. I brought my 2004 Suburban in for a 105,000 mile check up and oil change. When I picked it up, it ran smoother and quieter than I can ever remember. And, all the service was done at a much lower price than I would have been charged if I had gone to a dealership. If Kevin and his team cannot provide the service you require, they are the first to tell you, and will refer you to someone who can. No sloppy work is done at Polar Bear. Polar Bear is my first and only choice for auto repair now and in the future. more

Excellent Bankruptcy Services 11/5/2010

I had medical bills that I could not afford. They were following me ever where I went. I could not get small loans to save my life. When you lose your job and your insurance is gone the smallest thing can cost big bucks. I had to file bankruptcy to stop the medical bills from making me sick. The law offices of John T. Orcutt did just that. more

Pleasantly Surprised 11/5/2010

Recently I made the decision to find an alternative to the dealership I had been taking my Toyota to. After going to several independent shops for an estimate I chose Polar Bear. I liked the estimate and the way the Service Advisor (Art) came across over the phone. The estimate held firm with no additional costs which does not always happen! The owner (Kevin) is also someone who I felt comfortable with. I seldom recommend anything because of the responsibility we assume. But I would certainly recommend Polar Bear to a friend! more

Routine Oil Change 9/25/2010

Went in for a routine oil change. People were very nice and knowledgeable. They knew what kind of oil my car needed without asking me (the last 2 places I've been to have put in the wrong kind). Only complaint is that it took over an hour, and it didn't seem especially busy...just wasn't expecting it to take that long. In their defense, it did seem like they took the time to inspect various components of the car, and you certainly wouldn't get that service at a place that only does oil changes in 20 minutes. Would return for future service, but would also bring something to read or plan to come back later to pick up. more

Great experience 9/20/2010

An unrelated leak occured in our mostly-new A/C system and they worked with me on the price and didn't charge for the lost refrigerant or the time other than to repair the old hose and fitting that leaked. They also showed me where my radiator coolant reservoir was leaking and urged me to replace it right away (which I did for just $5 thanks to Area 51 Pick and Pull on Happy Lane near Kiefer and Bradshaw). This probably saved us from overheating and damaging the engine! more

I brought my car in around lunch and it was diagnosed by the end of that day. The work began the next day with the comment that it will take the whole day but no indication it would be longer. I had to call them twice to find out the progress and only when I called at 4:30 did I find out it wasn't going to be done by 5:30. I would appreciate someone keeping me informed of progress and timelines so I can plan the transportation of my 5 kids. Otherwise the work was fine, a/c now working as it should. more
