I bought a coupon for a oil change plus 42 point inspection from groupon. I brought my car in and in an hour later my car was delivered as promised with a clean bill of health except with a note saying front breaks thin. They did not clarify that my breaks were in dire need to be replaced. A week later my breaks completly failed,no ability to stop with my children in the car during a rainy winter storm. I took it to another shop to get diagnosed and repaired, they informed me that my brake rotor was cracked;i was missing a brake sensor and a warped break pad.The repair shop said there is no way in 1week this could happen and during my oil change this should have been noticed.Well it was not and mine,my kids,and other drivers safety were put at risk because their mechanic failed to properly inspect and advise me on reapirs that were needed to be done.I am a woman and this reassures me that i can't trust mechanics. more

Went today with my groupon in hand for $15 oil change and 42 point inspection. Was greeted promptly and professionally. I told them I had, what I thought might be a transmission leak, and would they check it. They didn't find any leak, but they talked to me about changing the transmission fluid, which I agreed to, even though they didn't push and indicated I could wait. Cost was very reasonable. My car was still clean and free of any grease when the job was finished. Very happy and have already recommended them to a friend. I will definitely go back. more

I never would have know this place existed if it wasn't for Groupon.com deal I got. My experience here went wonderfully. It was quick and painless. Place was older, but clean. Staff was kind and attentive. They pay attention to detail and seem to really care about their customers. Went because of a Groupon (online coupon), but would definantaly consider returning for future automotive needs. more

Oil change was performed without issue. Took almost an hour and fifteen minutes though and they didn't wash my windows or vacuum my floors like jiffy lube does. 3 stars because they were friendly and I only paid $15 plus tax with the groupon! more

I was watching TV late at night and I saw an ad for a bankruptcy law firm. I have been contemplating bankruptcy for about 2 years and I was at my breaking point to have to file. However, I kept putting it off because I had no idea who to trust. The bankruptcy commercial was from the John Orcutt law firm. So the John Orcutt law office filed me for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. They told me everything should be settled and done within 3-4 months. My debt that I had been paying on for 8 years was finally gone. I had no more medical bills, credit card debt or loans that I could not realistically pay. I am now working again and living within my means. I have every intention to learn form my mistakes and save for a better future and that was my experience with the John Orcutt law firm. No other auto repair place I've been to in Sacramento is so non-threatening and comfortable. The other places make me feel like I am going to be sucked into some expensive un-needed repairs. Not here though. They do what I ask for a reasonable price plus do a free safety check without me asking. I always feel very satisfied and confident that I didn't get ripped off. Also their waiting room is quiet, comfortable, and has lots of magazines. Looks like a woman decorated it instead of a mechanic. more

I had the frequent Toyota problem of AC/heater control knob getting loose and working the circuit board back and forth until the board breaks away. These guys at Polar Bear saved me "big bucks" by fixed my board instead of taking the easy way out and simply replacing it. (circuit board cost: over $700!) Thanks guys for being smart, clever, and doing honest work for a fair price. Keep up the good work. more

I took my truck in for a 90K tuneup. They were so through that they discovered that my breaks needed replacing, had a tail light and turn signal out. They corrected these problem including throwing in the parts for the breaks because of past break service. Now my truck is running like a top again. Thanks! more
