i gave one star, but by my math, that's 3 too many. this place B-L-O-W-S.... my lg microwave stopped heating food, so they came in an uninstalled it from above the stove (this plays in later) about a month ago. a month to fix one microwave? really?? i asked them to contact my landlord as he's the one paying, since he bought the microwave, and can't find any warranty. even put his number directly on the bill so they can reference that. he hasn't gotten one call, prompting me to hound them. already i've lost hope of any intelligent life on that planet. every time i call, they couldn't be more uninterested. and they ALWAYS tell me they'll call me back with the info i need. not once have they. so after telling me they're waiting for my part to be delivered, after waiting to even get started on it, they tell me the delivery person only drops it off. i had to call back to see if they install seeing as how they're the ones who took it out. ""i don't know. i'll have to call you back"". guess who hasn't called back, and isn't answering their phone today? avoid this place at all costs, unless you're immortal, have no life plans, or nothing better to do then watch your life pass by and hair fall out waiting for incompetence to turn a corner! more

Good Service 10/11/2010

We have a third-party extended warranty (with in-house service) on our Samsung LCD TV through RepairMaster. Our TV started having trouble turning on. RepairMaster told us that they setup a service call with AID Audio. I called AID Audio the next day (Wed). They had the info and setup a service call for three weekdays from then (Mon). The morning of the call, they gave a 1.5 hour window. When the tech arrived, he said he had seen the problem before (power supply), replaced the power supply, and the TV was fixed in about 15 minutes. That was a week ago, and the TV has been fine since then. After RepairMaster referred me to AID Audio, I googled it and found this site, and was nervous about our prospects. However, it all went smoothly. more

Good repair service 8/6/2010

ICalled them to repair my Frigidaire washer which was not draining. The tech Ralph showed up with the drain pump and had my washer running in 30 minutes. He showed up on time and was very nice. I will use them again. more

Worst Customer Service 8/2/2010

Was forced to use this company when my brand new Air Conditioner was having trouble. I didn't mind waiting a week for service, what I did mind is that they guy stuffs foam in the A/C, tells me the machine is crap, and that should do it, sign here. A couple of weeks later the unit is worse. I call to make another appointment, wait another week. Day of I miss their morning call by complete accident. Call right back and am told my appointment is cancelled. The woman who answers the phone is quick to be mean. The gentleman she transferred me to is sarcastic. None of which resolved the situation. I was treated so horribly for missing a phone call. They won't tell you when they will call to confirm an appointment, nor will they give you a window of time they might come. Perhaps I'm the only one with a job, but this is really hard for a customer. No matter how much I tried to convey that I had taken the day off, I was given quips about getting a landline or sit by the phone next time. Why engage customers in this manner. I would never speak to people the way they spoke to me, nor feel happy my customer missed an appointment they waited a week for. Even the best Doctors in New York will have some compassion and try to fit you in. Canceling an appointment after your customer takes a day of is unfair. Their response is that the driver had already left with the paperwork. Okay, let's say that is true, I pleaded if some thing changed and a technician was in my area to please call me. They said no. They seem to feel righteous about the ability to give and take away appointments. If you have to use this company because of a warranty agreement make sure the product is really fixed as best you can, they don't like having to come back and would prefer to do big refrigerator repairs instead. It might seem like no big deal reading a paragraph of some one who missed a call and took the day off... but what if you took an entire day off, and then nothing. I get to spend my day now writing negative reviews. Next time, they should think of their customer first, and their rules second. It's an air conditioner, not a walk in freezer. Aid TV service 7/6/2010

Recently my Samsung TV broke and they set up Aid Tv for service. I was very skeptical and worried after reading reviews but to deal with them was a nice surprise. They promptly setup a pick up appointment and the guy was here to pick it up on exact time. it took less than two week turn around time which included lcd panel shipment from samsung and july 4th weekend so basically they did replace LCD and returned as soon as they got it. again the guy came right at the time which they said. My air conditioner broke after owning it for a couple of months. Called Aid Service and the came to my home on Monday. They had to take the air condtioner from my home to repair it, they repaired it and brought it back yesterday. Thank you for a job WELL DONE!!!! more

I purchased a $3000 Samsung LCD TV from Best Buy and decided to pay an additional $350 for an extended warranty. The TV started to have problems and I called Best Buy to repair the problem. Best Buy said that Aid Audio & TV Service Corporation would pick up my TV and fix it. When the tech arrived at my home he said it would take 5 to 7 days to fix it. I called a few times to get a status check on what the problem was with the TV and when I would get it back. The people at the company are so rude and unprofessional that it was a problem to ask them a question. Now it has been over two weeks, they have received the part, installed it and tested it but have not called to deliver my TV. If I were you I would never use this company's service. Just look at all the reviews. Over 31 people have given them 1 star. I am sure we would have all rated them lower if we could. STAY AWAY!!!!!! TRUST ME! Pros: None! Cons: Rude, unprofessional more

AidTV is Trying Hard 3/13/2010

When my son's new Samsung TV had a display panel problem, AidTV ordered the new panel immediately. They arranged for a next day pick-up for panel replacement at their repair center. To my surprise, they called the day after they pick-up the TV to inform me the panel has been replaced and ready to deliver my son's TV the next day. I mentioned what were the poor reviews about the AidTV online and the lady at AidTV told me that they rarely get a reviews when they doing their jobs, only for those who were dissatisfied (that they don't do what the customer's demands, reasonable or not, will give them the bad reviews. So, since we are very satisfied with their service and I am taking the liberty to standup for them. I hope AidTV will try hard to make most if not all of their customers feel satisfied. Horribly rude, inept, unprofessionals 2/24/2010

I had a repairman come in to service an issue I was having on my Philips Lcd tv. I explained the problems I was having and the repairman took a look. Seems as if my tv decided to be a little shy, because the issues seemed to be gone. I asked the repairman to just give it a few minutes. He was dismissive, rude, unfriendly and had absolutely no personality. He couldn't leave my house faster. He couldn't find the problem and told me that he couldn't fix what he can't see, which is understandable. He was inching towards the stairs as I attempted to try to make the tv show its symptoms again. He left. I turned my tv off, 10 minutes later I turn it on and have picture but no audio-something I told the man that the tv was prone to do. I called Aid and was met with a rather unfriendly, rude, unprofessional woman named Debbie. I explained my issue to her and asked if she could possibly get the repairman back, considering he had only left less than 15 minutes ago. I told her about his demeanor and how was he was trying to leave. She put me on hold in mid sentence,came back, and told me that she just spoke to the tech and I'd have to call back in the morning. I couldn't understand why I'd have to wait another day due to someones unsatisfactory performance. This woman became increasingly rude and agitated. I said that this was ridiculous and she scoffed ""Ridiculous, that's a nice word"". I asked her why she was being so rude and she went off, telling me that I was the rude one and went on and on. I told her, I'm not cursing at you, defaming you in any way, yelling at you, or even blaming you...so how am I being rude? She continued with her disgusting attitude, I commented on her lack of customer service skills. Conveniently, a manger won't be able to speak to me until the morning because 'they're on the road"" What a disgusting excuse for a business. If I conducted myself in that manner at my place of employment, I would not have a job. I can't believe that this place has been allowed to continually treat people with such utter disregard. I missed a day of work and all I got was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am still shocked. Cons: EVERYTHING! more

This is in response to Pennsylvania\r \r While it is not impossible to actually receive good or satisfactory service, I have to say that you are probably one of the very few who have received such. I do not usually go on any “blogs” or customer complaint websites or even fill out surveys based on company performance, but I must tell you that I was compelled and was left no other choice but to do so. It’s funny because I still go on this site every now and then just to read the other horror stories that people post, just to see if they were worse than mines. Good for you for actually receiving the service you deserve as a consumer, but I am left to assume that you will never understand the frustration that each and everyone of the customers who have received less than satisfactory reception. I will not tell you my horrible, please take note, HORRIBLE, story. One that made me feel, as I was going through it, so frustrated to the point that I told the retailer where I purchased the TV that they can have their TV back as long as they can get it from AID themselves. I was willing to buy another TV just so I didn’t have to deal with AID and their inconsiderate employees. While I applaud you for doing, what probably is the right thing, by writing a favorable review, I ask you to also check with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) as to their overall performance. Maybe, and only maybe, you’ll have some sense of what WE, most, if not all, the people on this forum have written about. It is quite different when you can totally relate to what you read as I have. I bet the good reviews on here of these people (though VERY few) are from employees of this place. I'm almost certain.\r \r \r OK. Check this out. These idiots screwed me out of an entire day of work. Allow me to explain. I have a service plan for my TV through a company that B&H outsources to. I called them and they set me up an appointment with Aid Audio and TV Svc Corp. They gave me the window from 8-5. Allow me to repeat that, from 8-5. They called me the morning of my appointed day and asked if I had called for service. First sign of the intelligence that I was dealing with. He said that he STILL couldn't give me a more specific time. He was very rude to me when I asked if he could just tell me if they would show up before noon or after noon. He couldn't give me a time. I had to take the entire day off of work because the window was so large. So I waited, and waited............. oh and I waited some more. At 5 o'clock no one had showed up. I called the next day to find out exactly what happened and the woman basically blamed me for not following up again. It is not my job to do their job. Maybe if the guy that answered the phone wasn't such a jerk, then maybe I would have been encouraged to communicate with him. I asked the woman very nicely if she could give me a more specific time for my make-up appointment, that way I wouldn't lose yet another day of work waiting for someone to not show up. That would have been the right thing to do to mend fences with me. She said no, that's not how they do it. Inefficiency. If you are looking for a competent group of people to fix your equipment, this simply is not them. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. more

I have to say dispte all the reviews online this is the best company I use so far. I have a samsung tv and the lamp went out I call up AID AUDIO and spoke to selma who was very polite she took all my info and was able to send a tech out the next day. I had my tv repair sooner than I tought thanks to AID AUDIO. I could understand being in business and dealing with the public how people can be !!!!!!!! but I had to say I do appreciate all their hard work. the women who make the calls and answer your questions are rude, unintelligible and unhelpful individuals. there was a hold up with my repair and I had to spend three hours on the phone with both the warranty company and AID to no avail. They are the rudest people. On the other hand the actual service man who picked up my television was kind as can be. I would never use these people again!! WARNING!!!! Pros: none! Horrible 8/27/2009

LG Washer Dryer- typical maintenance I had read about. I told LG the problem AND the part I needed. Called AID as directed, told them again, the problem AND the part. Two days to get a ""repairman"" here. Raphael shows up within the 2 hour window, WITHOUT EVEN A TOOL BOX, pushes two buttons and confirms I was right, we need that part and no, they hadn't ordered it. He said he'd put a ""RUSH"" on it and to call the office starting the next day to check. I call the office and a surly receptionist wont even look up my order. Once she does, there's no ""rush"" there's no nothing, and maybe next week my part will show up. Then I'd have to make ANOTHER appointment for more days later. I ask to speak to a manager, its 2pm. She says there is no manager until the next morning. You wouldn't think there is a recession and people are looking for work talking to these people. Machine is 8 months old, I can't do laundry with an 18 month old baby here waiting. Cons: Run Around Delays Lies more
