Salon Ciao Bella Day Spa

After moving to Texas last summer, I was in the unfortunate position trying to find a new stylist. Back home, I had been to the same salon/person for the past 10 years, so I knew it would be hard finding a replacement. After reading numerous reviews online, I decided to give Salon Ciao Bella a try. I made an appointment with Tiffany and she immediately made me feel like one of her favorite clients. She saw past my "long" short hair and faded highlights and gave me a great cut and style. Te next month I was in for a color and it was almost like she knew me and my hair forever! I have not been anywhere else since moving to Round Rock and would not trust my hair to anyone but Tiffany! more

I am a long-time client of both Melissa (one of the owners and a stylist) and Regina (nails, facials, pedi's) and wherever they are they provide *excellent* service. Melissa is a MASTER at color and my cut is *exactly* what I ask for! She's the first stylist that I have ever trusted enough not to be tense the whole time I was in her chair. I am so proud of her for making her dream of ownership come true and thankful she brought Regina with her! The salon is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and sweet -- Kayla ROCKS keeping the salon orderly and running smoothly while also checking on every guest and bringing beverages. The place just has great "energy". The recent addition of Theresa's "magic hands" massages rounds out the services offered. I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere! Reading some of the other reviews of Ciao Bella (those with fewer than 5 stars), all I can say is that if you want Supercuts service and price, then go to Supersuts! You get what you pay for (at both establishments!). The Salon's servies are at very competitive rates for the full-services offered and Meslissa is in high demand -- so don't just walk in expecting to be seen by her on the spot. She's busy giving attentive service to the person in her chair at that moment. A booked appointment is worth the wait! Downtown Austin move over ... Skilled Round Rock stylist are here! Melissa is my stylist and consistently gives me color and cuts that make me very happy! I'm a picky customer, and Melissa never fails to please me. At 60 my hair is one of my best assets and I was thrilled to find such an upscale salon in Round Rock, I thought I was going to have to drive to my #1 salon in Austin. But just a short drive from my home, I found this salon which makes me feel just as pampered as I did in New York City! Salon Ciao Bella is the spot for demanding customers and it's in our backyard of Round Rock. Melissa understands what I want and uses her sill to make sure I'm happy. I fully recommend this salon! I really love this salon. Nothing in Round Rock compares. You get the atmosphere and stylists of downtown Austin without having to drive so far and deal with astronomical prices. Melissa is awesome. I have never had a better haircut. She had to fix the bad color and cut that someone else had done. I'm so glad I went here. Melissa knew exactly how to fix my hair. Worst experience ever. The salon was beautiful, but my stylist Melissa was weird. I think she was one of the owners, which is unbelievable because she kept talking about her personal life the whole time she was doing my hair and seemed very distracted. It was a very strange experience and my hair shows it. It's very uneven and stripey looking. I DON'T agree with the reviews. . more

I followed Melissa from her previous salon. When I found out i was getting engaged she was the first person i called, because I wanted her to do my hair and makeup. Then six months before the wedding I found out I had to have emergency brain surgery. Most people would have called their priests, I called Melissa. She came to visit me in the hospital and told me she would make me look beautiful on my wedding day. Shes the talented colorist I have even been too and she is the last hair dresser I will ever have. I have never been so amazed by a salon. From the minute you walk in, to the minute you walk out, you are pampered, and talked too, and smiled at. Its a place that just radiates good energy. Everyone is happy, and talking, and laughing. I have had a fabulous massage, a fantastic pedicure, and my stylist is now there. She has always been awesome, but now with her surroundings, its like heaven on earth. I love calling to book an appointment, because then I wait patiently daily until i can get in to forgot all my problems, and take my mini vacation. Thanks salon ciao bella!!!! I had a most wonderful experience with Melissa today. In a hair stylist, she is everything you could ever ask for. I didn't have an idea about what I wanted her to do with my hair but I knew nothing I had tried was working. She gave me books to look through to get ideas, she made suggestions, and she is extremely personable. She is very quick to pick up on what your hair will and will not do -- a dream come true! My cut is adorable and lifted a number of years off my face. The shop is very clean, the staff very nice, and I appreciated the personal care and attention I received. Thanks Melissa! Melissa used to do my hair. She swore by enzymes that fried my hair. She's rushed through my highlights and was extremely messy with her foils which caused them to slip leaving my hair looking like I needed an appointment rather than just finishing. I was waiting one day for 30 min because she had TRIPPLE booked herself. I feel it's all about money rather than quality. The last time I was in, she was laying ALL of her personal issues out on the table. I'm sorry, but no one cares about how mean your husband is. The receptionist Kayla (I think is her name, not sure if she's still there), is extremely "snotty." Everyone has their "off days"....that I know, which is why I went back 3 times (over a 4 month time). I could see if I was paying SuperCuts prices, but there, you're not. It's definately not worth it. They can make you look good as you're walking out but give it a few visits and your hair will show the quality they give. Anyone can make up several email addresses and register to citysearch more times than one. I honestly feel these FAB reviews are written by the staff and stylists. I don't see how anyone could truly be happy with Ciao Bella....(unless they just don't know any better). Pros: cute salon Cons: service not what you pay for more

I have been a client of this salon for a long time. I always see who ever is available. I have had just about everyone. I loved them all. I have never felt rushed. I have seen Melissa, the owner of Salon Ciao Bella, several times since moving to the Austin area recently. No only does she accomodate early morning appointments which don't interfere with my work schedule, she is always personable and friendly. Most recently, she colored my hair from a very light blonde to a dark brunette, a transition I was very scared about. When I saw the final product, I was scared because it was darker than I had ever imagined. I ended up making an appointment before I left to come back the next week to go back blonde. Even when I made that request, Melissa said that was fine but I needed to give it a chance. That day, I got more compliments in a few hours than I ever have. Needless to say, I am keeping it brunette. Not only is Melissa a great stylist, I would consider her a friend. Pros: Everything - and the salon is decorated beautifully! more

I have been going to the Salon for awhile now to get my hair done. everytime i go in there i get great service i get checked in the receptionist always asks if i need a drink while i wait, which i never have to wait long. Melissa always does a AWESOME job on my hair she always does what i want and if i dont really know she knows exactly what to do. i also just recently went in and got a spa package which consisted of a one hour swedish massage, pedicure, manicure, shampoo and style at a GREAT price. but i showed up for my massage i waited in a special room which is isolated away from everyone and they have relaxing music playing. they soaked my feet in some mint bath thing first then i got my massage oh my does Theresa have magic hands i was so relaxed after and then they didnt even rush me to my pedicure the served me a complimentry lunch. the pedicure was the best that i have EVER had. i would recomed this salon to anyone and everyone. Pros: BEST SERVICE EVER!! Cons: alittle tight to get in at times more

I was reading some of the comments and there were a lot that were good and a lot that were bad so i wasn't to sure about giving them a try but i thought why not there close to the house and on my way after work. I called and they fit me in the next day. I stopped in to get a massage because that wouldnt be anything perminant like a hair color. I just love that they had to whole spa experience and botique all in one. I was able to shop and get pampered in all one stop. When i got the massage it was like nothing i had ever felt before! i was in heaven and could not believe how amazing and how well theresa customized the massage just for me. So from the way the hot stone went i was not afraid about gettin my hair done.I set up an apt. for the up coming weekend with melissa and i swear i will never go anywhere else. more

The first time I went to this salon it was great... then they changed my stylist to Melissa. OMG - she must write her own reviews. Not only did she not listen to what I wanted, she rushed through my highlights in record time and my hair shows it. She kept telling me how great she was and just kind of took over my hair - she wouldn't let me look until the end and then I had to bite my lip not to cry. I will never go back again. This is more like a high class supercuts than an upscale salon. Keep looking. more

Very friendly and skillful staff. They work around my busy schedule to get me in when I need it. Melissa has even stayed late just to cut my hair. I recomend it to anyone that likes friendly service and to look their best. They can even fix your hair when it gets screwed up at Supercuts. Pros: Treated like a friend not just a customer. I have lived here all my life. This is the salon that Round Rock has needed for years. I am so excited. I walked in and automatically knew I was in for a treat. I was not disappointed. The owners and the staff have done something amazing. My hair is fabulous, and so our my nails now. I won't be going anywhere else. Thank you guys. 5 stars all the way!!!! i went into this salon one afternoon for a haircut..... and they couldnt get me in right away... so i asked if i could wait until a stylist was availble they said NO.... and looked at me like i was crazy.... so i asked if i could set up an appointment for tomorrow and i did. The next day i showed up on time at 1 well at 2:05 they finally got me in.... which i thought was totally umprofessional. the haircut was okay nothing to brag about.... all these stylist looked stuck up and i felt like i couldnt even talk to them.... no thank you i'd rather go to Super cuts. more

One of my friends told me about this hair stylist named Melissa. I live three hours away, and kinda laughed. I was not going to drive to round rock. After having my hair screwed up time and time again, I decided, okay, once...just once, i will drive three hours to see what the hype is all about. OKAY, so yeah, I will be driving to Round Rock every 6 weeks now. She is amazing. She will not let you look in the mirror until the end, when you are finished with your new look. I totally cried. My husband freaked, and told me I didn't even look that good 12 years ago when we got married. I love my new hair, and Melissa is what everyone has said she is. The whole salon is amazing. You have to go. If you have to drive...then drive. Its hard to get in with Melissa. I suggest just getting in with anyone. Melissa did leave me a couple of times to do consults with other stylists to tell them what to do. She is I guess the color expert in the salon. Everyones hair looked fabulous, not just mine. you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is fun, and not stuffy at all. Enjoy, you deserve it. :) Pros: totally relaxing. Amazing head massage. I looked online to find the perfect place. I have been driving all the way to Austin for years. Anyway, I read the reviews and deceided to try out this place getting all the five star reviews. I called, and booked an appointment with Melissa. I had a three week wait to get in, not to bad. I got there and was totally amazed the place is like nothing that round rock has. I sat in Melissa's chair, told her what I was thinking. She then proceeded to tell me what see was thinking. It was alittle different then what i was thinking, its just hair right? It will grow back, that was what i was thinking. lol. Let me tell you she pegged it. Everyone is dying for my new look. They are telling me I look 15 years younger. I love it. Melissa took what I wanted, and put her professional spin on it. From the first phone call to the minute i walked out the door, it was the most awesome salon experience I have ever had. I prebooked six months out, I have to get in from now on. Trust me, call today, you will love it. All the girls there were totally sweet. I have found my new salon home. :) I think Melissa is booked solid now, and not really taking new clients, but she trained some of the other girls there, and they do the same things she does.
