I have gotten TONS of compliments! 8/19/2008

I had to wait about 4 weeks to get in to see Melissa. I told her to lift me up and make me young again. All my friends and family can not get over the incrediable difference color, a few highlights and her cut has done. I just have to dry it and go. Its the best most user friendly cut I have ever had. I had read all the reviews on here before selecting a salon, was alittle nervous, cause she does have a few bad ones too. But I totally agree with all the 5 STARS. This place is by far the most trendy, hip place in round rock. Melissa is strong in her faith. That might have upset a few people. But I loved it. Kiddos to all who work there. Best Salon in Central Texas! 8/14/2008

I can honestly say that Salon Ciao Bella is the best salon in Central Texas. After trying dozens of other salons, I have been going to (and will continue to stick with) Salon Ciao Bella for the past 2+ years! Melissa cuts and colors my hair perfectly every single time! If I take her a picture of a new cut, she is honest and lets me know if it will or won't work with my hair, face shape, etc. She has given me great cuts that get me compliments on a weekly basis... and it's been this way ever since she first started cutting my hair 2+ years ago! The head & neck massages they give as they are shampooing you are better than words can describe! It's a little piece of heaven as you're being pampered to start with! Top that off with a super cute salon, beyond-friendly staff members, and complimentary wine during your visit... and you'll soon become a SCB regular just like me!! Pros: Awesome environment. Tiffany is AMAZING!! 7/25/2008

i tried this salon after losing my long time hair stylist to a move. i got an appt w/ tiffany and i recommend her to everyone around me! ive since had my haircut by her 4 times and i LOVE the result every time!! Shes great with just a trim and for dramatic (spur of the moment) kind of changes!!! i highly recommend her! shes so sweet and professional and explains what shes doing and how you can do it at home to still look good! Shes WONDERFUL with eyebrow waxing also! Pros: great cuts, people and environment!! Excellent service!!!!!!!!!! Cons: absolutely none more

I have been to this salon three times and all three have been a great experience. My stylist was Melissa and she is great! She carefully listens to what you want, but if you are unsure she is also full of great ideas. Everyone there seems to be very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this salon for anyone who wants great service for a good price! more

I had my first appointment yesterday. Stephanie did my highlight/lowlights and cut my hair. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. I love my hair. The color is perfect. The salon is too cute, and the people were very nice. Their prices are amazing too! I highly recommend this place. more

Went with my mom and sister for a birthday massage. Wonderful place. The staff is very friendly. The boutique has really cute and trendy stuff. It was a very peaceful place. Soothing music plays, you can relax on some wonderful couches in the back, and the staff makes sure you're comfortable at all times. Pros: Reasonable price, friendly staff, very relaxing more

Best nails in austin 7/1/2008

After having my nails destroyed at some quick nail place I found Ciao bella. Regina is awesome, my nails always look great and she is extremely sweet. Amber does great for a pedicure. The nail salon is always clean and they take care to disinfect their instruments. I highly recommend both Amber and Regina! more

Its AMAZING.... the kindness and genorisity of all the employees from the moment i walk in the door to the first step out of the salon. The ownership has done a great job of creating an environmet for people to love. Melissa and Tiffany have done a spectacular job of establishing a great place for a person to come and relax while reciving a wonderfull experience of all the things this salon offers. Salon Ciao Bella is my new favorite place! I've gotten my nails done and have had a pedicure done by Amber which were both amazing! I highly recommend her! THE Best Hair Salon, Day Spa, & Boutique in Round Rock!! Everybody is great, but Melissa Handsel is my favorite!! 6/17/2008

I specifically recommend Melissa Handsel for hair-coloring and hair cuts. I have been going to Melissa for my hair cuts and coloring for a few years now. I love her so much. She is the best hair stylist I've ever had. I continually receive compliments on my hair and usually get asked for her phone number. Melissa has a huge client base so I make sure to always book my next appointment well in advance, even before I leave the salon. Not only is she great with my hair, but she is always sweet and friendly. I look forward to seeing her every time I go. She always leaves me feeling pampered and happy! I highly recommend Melissa Handsel if you are lucky enough to get an appointment with her! Pros: All Great!! Cons: Not a single negative!! more

Best Haircut and color in the last 15 years 6/9/2008

15 years ago I had one favorite hairstylist, one that could be the best at color AND cut. I eventually could not afford that expertise as his prices rose to over $80 for a haircut alone. I succumbed to the fact that I would have to settle for either a good HC or Color, but not both..... Until I met Melissa; she is awesome and she has done my hair for the last year and half for a very reasonable price. I am so comfortable with her excellent skills that I answer her question of "what are we doing today" with "whatever you want!" I tell her the length I want to the limits of color or length and she performs her magic. She spends the time to ensure the cut is perfect and the color is fantastic. I have received so many compliments that they have asked for the name of the salon and stylist. I am so glad I finally found someone who doesn't attempt to set appointments, answer the phone, or chat to the person next to them while cutting my hair. I have not been disappointed by Melissa in the last year and half; hair styling is an art, either you have the talent or you don't.... Melissa definitely has it! more

Perplexed 6/7/2008

I am reading all of these great reviews and wondering if this is the same salon I went to? I had my hair cut by Melissa a while ago and I left more than a little disappointed in the haircut and the price she charged. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and I left with a haircut that did not remotely resemble the picture. My hair was a frizzy mess because she used the razor all over my wavy hair instead of cutting it because that would have taken too much time. And like one of the other reviewers said she had my back turned toward the mirror so that I was not able to see what she was doing until she was finished. To make matters worse she then cut bangs by just reaching over and cutting a chunk out of the front of my hair and then putting gel in it to mask the cut. One I washed my hair it was very apparent how uneven my hair was. I will say this, it was the second time I went into the salon and on both occassions I watched Tiffany cut hair. She is a professional and uses the correct cutting techniques. I should have booked an appointment with her instead. more

Melissa Does the whole FAMILY!!! 5/28/2008

Melissa has been doing the whole family for about three years now. We all just love her. She does my brother in law, my mom, my sisters. Every person that lives in the area, thats related to me, goes to Salon Ciao Bella. She makes you feel like part of the family there. We have never been dissatisfied with anything done there. My oldest daughter can't wait until prom next year so Ms. Melissa can work her magic. My youngest daughter just had her first hair cut with Melissa. She is part of our family, we have even invited her to our family holidays....She just fits. She will become part of your household too, trust me. Try Salon Ciao Bella, you won't be sorry. I have been getting my hair cut and colored from Tiffany for the last 3 years, even before the doors to Salon Ciao Bella were open. Since that day, everytime I have had an appointment, it has never been a bad experience. Tiffany has a knack for color, being someone that is very fickle about getting my hair dyed, Tiffany has always done the greatest job. The Staff at the Salon, are some of the friendliest people I have ever came across, in any salon setting; being a $5 quick cut, or top of the line salon. Tiffany and Melissa have opened a nice place, where you can relax, sit back, and kick your feet up! They always offer complimentary beverages, and there are always snacks, if you want a little bite to eat. I have recommended numerous people, and they all come back with the best compliments!
