My Plumber Heating and Cooling

The plumber who arrived at our house was professional and very knowledgeable. He knew what to do and was careful. However, one of the problems - a leaky faucet - that he fixed and for which we were charged - is still leaking. We are not satisfied with that aspect of the work. more

Myplumber did a great job at helping in an emergency situation, but the cost was more than my wife and I could afford. Myplumber was great in the help but need not take advantage in an emergency. Being a first time home buyer and needing the help I my have to call someone more affordable next time. more

Very knowledgeable tech. Quick repair done and area cleaned up after work completed. $304.00 for 20 minutes work leads me to believe I retired from the wrong line of employment. more

Tech told me he'd only do visual exam of a/c and furnace wasn't included in deal. Person who made appointment had said cooling/heating system would be included. Tech recommended repairs that I was unable to afford. I don't know enough about a/c systems to know whether these repairs were needed. more

Quick to respond and worked hard to solve my problem. Had an alternative fix which was less expensive and better. You pay by the job vice by the hour so it didn't cost more if he had to dig up my back yard to get to the pipe. more

I told the guy this was a rental property and not to discuss anything with tenant, or to say anything in front of the tenant. I also spoke to him on the phone when he arrived and I told him not to go inside the house until I got there. I arrived about 5 minutes after him, and he had already gone into the property. Then he insisted we go back into the house so he could explain to me what was wrong. Then inside the house where the tenant could over hear us, he told me t there was no 'check valve'. Then later when he was installing the check valve the he discussed with the tenant what he was doing. He just did not know how to tell the tenant that he could not discuss anything, as I had instructed and as we had agreed before the ok for him to come out was approved. more

I've used My Plumber Heating and Cooling a couple of times. They provide same-day service, which is rare. I had to change the appointment time a couple of times. They were very accommodating, and still got it all done in the same day. It's a little expensive, but I haven't checked to see how they compare to anyone else, so I don't know. more

My Plumber wanted more than $4600 to make repairs that another plumber made for $985. I had a kitchen sink that was clogged. My Plumber came out, looked at the problem and decided to snake the drain pipes. That seemed to resolve the problem, but the sink backed up again a few days later. My Plumber returned, at no charge, to snake it again. They had an equipment problem where a piece of the snake broke off in the pipe and they had to return a day later to resolve that. That's understandable; problems happen and they took care of it. The real issue came out after their master plumber came out to run a camera down the pipes to find the lost part. That plumber said that he had identified the true problem with the drain and it was that there were flat spots in the pipes and debris was accumulating in them. They said that the pipes had to be rehung so that there was a steady fall. That was an accurate assessment according to two other plumbers that looked at it for me. However, My Plumber quoted me $4669 to replace the pipes in question. After consulting with the other two plumbers, the one I engaged to do the work completed it in about three hours and charged $985 for time and materials. If My Plumber wants to dispute this account of events, I welcome it. I have the quote and I have the receipts for the repair work that was done. They've done good work for me in the past, but if you use them, be sure to get a second opinion on their charges. more

The service specialist, Randall P., was identified by email as the person doing my check-up. Good way to make sure a fake wasn't at my door. Came right on time. Explained what he was doing as he went. Identified some minor problems and gave the prices to do the repair work but did not pressure me to have it done right then. He explained fully inspection plans that his company could do and their prices, but once again no pressure to do now. Probably as pleasant a plumbing call as one could get. Would recommend a preliminary plumbing check by Randall and, if trained like he was, other "My Plumber Heating and Cooling" service techs. more

When I requested the service I asked about pricing - rep said they do not charge hourly and give a fixed price after they look at problem. Service technician said they use $399 per hour as the basis for building up a price. Was given a price based upon the rate and 3/4 hour worth of work. Price is fixed so when the job took less than 1/2 hour to complete - I get no consideration. more
