Best

I haven't had a problem with Mile Hi. I booked them online, and they showed up on time and did the work. Very pleased with the service.

Worst

I have been useing Mile High for 2 years. This year I was not happy 2007. I scedualed an appointment a week in advance for Thursday April 19 got a auto curtisy call Wednesday Apri...

Unbelievable 4/18/2007

Last year I signed up for aeration and they sent a kid in a t-shirt during a snow storm. He asked me to reschedule. I rescheduled online and they came and aerated. The next week they came back and almost started aerating again, luckily I was home to stop them although it was obvious it had already been done. The man was angry because he thought I had aerated it myself. I am recieving two emails a day that I owe them $35 although I paid one year ago, they will not respond. This company should be avoided. Pros: They did aerate Cons: Barely a company, no response, unorganized, etc. more

WORST LAWN AREATION SERVICE EVER 4/10/2007

Mile Hi Aeration is one of the worst company I have ever dealt with. Last year is took them 3 trys to send someone to the house. When they got here they ran out of gas and had to use some of mine. I sent them a bill for the gas and it was never paid. Then they ended up sending a second person that did the same job and it took me all summer to get the automated computer to quit calling me everyday. Now this year 2007 they are sending be automated calls wanting me to sigh up again. Can these people be that clueless on running a business. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE>> Pros: 0 Cons: BAD SERVICE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE more

CUSTOMER BEWARE 4/3/2007

Two weeks ago used Mile Hi Aerating. Aerating, fertilizing and gutter cleaning. The aerating was partiallydone . The fertilizer service is a mixture of dirt with very little fertilizer. Needless to say a waste of money. Their gutter services is non existing, they took the check left under the mat and never performed the service.\r Their customer services and website complaint link are worthless. We are out of $115.00 and should consider ourself lucky that no damage was done to any sprinkler heads or gutter like many other customers. NEVER AGAIN. CUSTOMER BEWARE more

Mile High Aeration Spaaaaaaaaam 4/3/2007

For the first time I had these suckers aerate my lawn. Paid $35 and they didn't do the job at all. I couldn't find any plugs on the lawn but sure there was the advertisement sign in front of my house. I called the customer service and registered a complaint with a rep named Carole and a supervisor named Crystal( xtn 103) was to call me back. I left Crystal a voicemail later but she has been ""away from her seat"" always . This has been going on for two weeks without a call from them. I am planning to report it to BB of Southern Colorado . Can anyone suggest me more options. \r \r I was the one to blame partly because I didn't check with BB of Southern Colorado before I called the a**h*les at milehigh for their ""BEST SERVICE"". So customers out there, please call BB (go to google and search for aarpelderwatch, go to that website and click on alerts and search for MILE HIGH ) before you make my mistake again. \r Good luck more

Do not use them!! 3/23/2007

I have used Mile High for several years .. Until now.. They came to complete an aeration project on Monday of this week. The job was only completed 1/2 way. They said they were unable to get into the back yard. (They have been able to get into the back for the past three years) \r The note said unable to complete service. No attempt to come back.\r \r I called Mile High to reschedule I was told all the managers were in a meeting and they could not reschedule a service that has been ""complete"" No return phone call. I was put on hold and disconnected twice. Three days later I tried to call again. Once again all the managers were ""busy? Left a message. Once again no phone call back. \r \r NEVER USE THEM!\r more

Avoid at all costs. 3/14/2007

Aeration is decent (if they don't damage your sprinklers, from what I read online they don't warranty things like that even though they're their fault) but the additional services are a joke. I ordered the additional ""top dressing, fertilizer and overseeding"" for $60 but when the guy came today to do the service after I asked a few questions I cancelled the entire service as it was clear they were going to be taking me to the cleaners. \r \r Basically Mile Hi provides their people with a little baggy of seed and a little baggy of topdressing/fertilizer mix--Each yard gets one, no matter how large. Also, the fertilizer and topdressing is mixed together, so everyone gets the same treatment, whether you pay for the optional fertilizer or not.\r \r The amounts the guy was going to put on our lawn wouldn't have been enough to make any noticeable difference, and wouldn't have been worth $5 let alone $60. \r \r I'm just glad I didn't have them do the service and then have to fight with them, as online you can find a huge number of complaints about these guys. Pros: Easy Cons: poor quality work, poor customer service, downright fraudulent more

Mile Hi Services, Inc. 12/20/2006

Avoid this company at all costs!!! I hired them to come and clean out my gutters. They came out, punctured holes in my front gutter causing $400 worth of damage and left the job. They didn't even bother to clean out the other three gutters on my house. No one would ever return my phone calls and we were given the complete run around by ""Angela"" and ""Crystal"" who patched us in to ""Thad's"" voice mail. No one offered to resolve anything. The sub-contractor who did the damage came out a week later to ""fix"" the job, and proceeded to lean a heavy ladder against our already damaged gutter and then was going to epoxy the holes that he had created. It was unbelievable. My husband had to tell him to stop. He had absolutely NO idea what he was doing. We are taking Mile Hi to small claims court. Anyone have any advice on that one? There seems to be quite a few of us out there. This company bullies the little guy. Their tactics are deplorable and shocking. Anyone up for a class action law suit yet? Pros: None that I can think of Cons: Don't be fooled by their ""reasonable"" prices. It will cost you far more in the long run. more

Mile High Aeration 11/30/2006

I am amazed by all of the rants and raves about this company. I have used Mile Hi aeration since 1987 and since that time I have had no problems. They tell me to mark my sprinkler heads, they advise me to WATER my lawn prior to the appointment day for better results. When I have had them clean my windows, they tell me to remove my screens. They charge a price far far less than I can even rent a machine and do it myself.\r \r I believe the consumer has a responsibility when getting home services done. I saw some complaints about damage to an ""invisible fence"". I had to laugh.... It's invisible.... Why is that Mile Hi's responsibility? FLAG YOUR HEADS, for goodness sake your hiring a company to come and slam steel rods through your grass, FLAG YOUR HEADS. WATER YOUR LAWN. REMOVE YOUR SCREENS, SHUTOFF the water so they can blowout your sprinkler system. Leave a gate unlocked and put your pitbull away so that they can get in and complete your service. I just know that these complaints about not showing up have to do with lack of responsibility on the part of the homeowner.\r \r I have never had an issue, yes some years I have had deeper plugs than other years, but that is because the softness of my turf has varried from year to year. This is not an equipment problem, this is not a customer service problem, this is not a Mile Hi problem.\r \r They dominate their industry unlike any other company I have ever seen. They continue to grow and prosper because they satisfy thousands and thousands of consumers every year. I suppose they figure, if 20 or so people would rather complain than get an issue taken care of so be it. Pros: excellent service great price more

Didn't do the job - Terrible Customer service 11/6/2006

Our original appointment was snowed out. The automated system rescheduled it and I was away and didn't get the message in time to tell them not to come. So, my sprinkler heads were not marked so I hope they are not damaged. When I got home that night, I saw no fertilizer and minimal aeration. Raking the lawn shorty after revealed that there were many spots missed with the aeration all over the lawn. I called to let them know and pay them for half since onl half was done. They offered to come back out and I said I did not want them on my property again. She said they could come out again but not reduce the payment. I said no thanks and that I guess the other reviews were right. Her response: ""I offered to come out again and there aren't any reviews, so you can go ahead with all of that cr@p if you want"". That's when I hung up. STAY AWAY!!!! more

Avoid 9/7/2006

Someone called from the company to reschedule and gave an excuse; no problem; stuff happens. An hour later someone else calls, with a different excuse! What's the story? We reschedule for later in the week. I soak the yards the night before and the day of the aeration it's raining, so the yard is nice and soft, perfect for aerating. \r I've got the check taped to the door because I'm working on a project downstairs. I hear the machine go past my window to the back yard. Five minutes later it's going back past my window to leave! Whoa, I've got a big backyard! I scramble to save my project and get outside; they're already gone! I check the job. Both yards are only about 2/3 done. Big patches of the yard are not aerated at all. Most of the plugs are about an inch long; this from a company that advertises three to four inch plugs! Parts of the yard are torn up! Pros: Fair price Cons: Poor service, poor reliability, false advertising more

Stay away if you want the job done 8/27/2006

Made an appointment to have MileHi come out to do a job that I needed done by a specific date. They promised arrival by 9:00 AM.\r \r At 10:30 I called to see where they were. No one had a clue why there wasn't a truck at my house already. No worries, they said, we'll call you and let you know what's up in a few minutes.\r \r At 12:30, I called back. The truck was not coming that day; the driver had not called and had not shown up. They had just ""forgotten to call."" They rescheduled for 2 weeks later, the ""first opening they had.""\r \r Two weeks later. 9:00 comes and goes with no truck. I called to ask what was happening. Again, they promised they'd call back and let me know what was going on. At 10:30 I called back and they had no answers for me, and promised again that they'd call when they had an answer. At 12:30 I called again, and got the same response. I asked them to route another truck to my house or find another way to live up to their appointment and they said that would compromise their other clients, so they would not. But they said they'd call when they could pin down an arrival time.\r \r At 3:00 I called back. ""Didn't someone call you? The tech called in with an emergency. We can reschedule you for two weeks from now.""\r \r I asked that a supervisor or manager please call me to discuss this. Of course, no one ever did.\r \r If you like burning vacation time waiting for them to forget to call you, this is the company for you. If not, try someone else. Cons: Did not show up. Did not call. Missed two appointments. Lied to me. more

Mile Hi has absolutely appalling service 6/6/2006

Their crew broke an exterior water spigot, and when confronted about it, denied everything. While I repeatedly left messages asking them for retribution, they left weekly automated messages asking for more of my business. This happened 3 years ago, and despite my attempts through the BBB, FTC, and directly, they still leave frequent messages touting their service. I just don't get it. 100% horrible customer service, work quality and business practices. If you're considering them, consider that their $35 aeration fee isn't even that competitive...and they get free advertising out of it by sticking a sign in your yard. It's utterly astonishing that they're allowed to conduct business. Pros: None. Cons: too many to list more

Run for the hills 5/19/2006

This is a terrible company in every respect. We hired them to aerate/fertilize. They no-showed and had no explanation. They came a week later and aerated, but didn't fertilize. Calls to customer service are met with an answering machine which apparently doesn't record because no one will call you back, so don't waste your breath in leaving a message. We also had them ""clean"" our gutters. The guy threw the junk all over our yard and flowers, left a note on a napkin saying he'd be back with trash bags, but of course did not return. The people in customer service tell me they can't reimburse me even though I had to do half the job myself. STAY AWAY! There are plenty of other aeration, etc companies out there. more

Never use this company! 5/11/2006

I paid Mile Hi Aeration to drain my sprinklers last winter. I then used them to aerate and fertilize my lawn. I had to bring them back to complete the aeration as they had only done the area just outside my door (their ad said they would do the entire lawn). The guy who completed the job confirmed that they had not done the entire lawn. I then had a contractor turn on my sprinklers. We quickly discovered they were leaking since they had never been drained properly. I have left several messages for a manager to call me back, it has yet to happen. more

DO NOT USE Mile Hi Aeration 4/25/2006

On top of being several hours late to their appointment window (7-noon, they showed up closer to 4pm without calling), they did not leave a receipt (which I need to provide to my landlord to get reimbursed) and they broke off a sprinkler head in our back yard. I have spent over an hour of combined time and several days of calling, waiting on hold and being hung up on and transferred without even so much as a hold please to a full voice mail for a supervisor that DOES NOT return calls. The operators are rude and the customer service is terrible! Cons: broken sprinkler head, poor customer service more

No show! 4/23/2006

We tried to use Mile High last year. After 6 no shows we gave up! Each time no one showed, I would call to find out why. I always got the same answer ""I don't know, we can schedule you next week"". On my 6th call we found out they had our address wrong - it was one that didn't exist... however, no one told me this, and no one ever called when they couldn't find our house?!?!?!? Never again! more
