We have used Mile Hi for about four years with no problems; however, recently we had a skirmish over several no-shows for window washing. Crystal at Mile Hi gave us a free window washing as a result of the hassle, which we think was MORE than accommodating and reasonable. We have used the company for aeration, fertilizing, window washing and have had no problems at all with the quality of work performed, and the price is very competitive. The office staff is harried more than dismissive, and although I exchanged some tense words with them recently, I also was very upset, and the ensuing, escalating angry conversation was as much my fault as theirs. We called them for gutter cleaning. They arrived a week late; no call, no excuses. They used MY hose to wash out the gutters and left the hose in the front yard. They left the gates open and didn't even try to avoid making a huge mess. The $90 this cost me will be the last cent they ever see from me.\r \r I own several rental units and have used them for aeriation and carpet cleaning. They've lost my business for good. I work with 25 realtors in the south denver area and we often share the good and bad of these kinds of services. They'll hear about this one! more

I called them to aerate and fertilize our lawn after hearing how they use 4"" plugs by using the heaviest machines out there! (radio ads). They came out, took the check they said to leave under the front door mat on the porch, put a sign in our yard and did nothing else. I called them back, they said they would show up and do the plug type of aeration as I was under the impression I would receive. They only came a removed the sign (after I bent it in all sorts of directions -- leaving it on my lawn for others to see -- I should have wrote all over it with a big magic marker ). I put a stop payment on the $79.00 check. As far as I am concerned, my check paid for a portion of their radio spot and the sign in my yard, nothing else. Avoid these rip-off artists like the plague! I've reported them. Terrible customer service and they don't do anything they say they promise in their advertisements. Talk about bait and switch advertising! Cons: Rip-off artists! more

Like another reviewer stated, one star because I can't go any lower. I took a day off from work to wait for their ""service."" Nobody showed up even after I left several messages with the company. I e-mailed them and called them about the no show. Nobody bothered to return my messages and I never received an apology or explaination. However, they continue to leave me messages asking for more business even though I have told them numerous times that I want to be on their no call list. Zero customer service. Pros: I don't believe that they have murdered anybody yet. Cons: No concept at all of customer service. more

I'm glad so many have had problems with this company, Crystal at Mile Hi escalated the issue and blamed me. The owner, Maury (so I'm told), doesn't return calls. I had a problem with Mile Hi before and they were difficult to deal with. I didn't use them for a couple of years and decided to try them again, what a mistake!!!! They came out and only did my front yard, but they left a sign indicating ""satisfactory"" service, a note stating they had ""professionally completed the job"", and took the check. When I called to state they had not touched the backyard, I was first asked if the yard was locked. Then they told me, their employee had an emergency and had to go. I wonder how you can leave a note saying you completed the job, leave a sign and take the money, if you had to leave in a hurry. Why would the company not let you know this before you called!! Crystal is very very unprofessional and rude, and the issue escalated. I requested a refund of my money and have not received it. I did write on their sign and put up another sign stating not to use them. Mile Hi managed to see my signs but couldn't manage to complete the work. Not to mention that they never apologize or take responsibility for anything.\r \r My sister had a problem with them and told me not to try them again, I feel so dumb. They never did her yard, stated they did it when she called them, then bugged her for several weeks to pay for a service that never occurred. \r \r I have never met anyone who was satisfied. \r \r If they won't do an aeration service you can see, they surely won't do a service you can't tell has been done. \r \r They don't care about customer service, they don't care about customers, they are a total rip off. \r \r If you want to take a chance of being one of 6.6% of satisfied customers, or one of 14.8% who said the company was average or above. This company is a joke, and the woman answering the phones is beyond rude. I spoke with them several times about having them repair a sprinkler head that they repaired during aeration, and I was repeatedly told that they would take care of it the following day, which never occurred. I called again first thing this morning, and the woman answering the phone yet told me that she wasn't in the office and she would call later. When I called again at 2:30 in the afternoon and expressed my frustration with the multiple delays, I was yelled at repeatedly and essentially told that my issue wasn't important. She was incredibly defensive and had no concept of customer service. This company clearly has no incentive to keep current customers happy. In the future, I will happily pay more for better service. I had to wait all day for these people as they in no way can leave you a 4 hour window-even though the e-mail stated they would be in my neighborhood that day. Had to call them at 4pm to see if they were coming and was rudely told they work from sunup to sundown they'll be there. So the guy shows up and literally ran this machine on my front-side and backyard in like 7 minutes! What a joke-there are no plugs just thumbnail lenghth dirtballs-speaking of @#$#% this company has none. WARNING don't use these people!\r P.S. I just cancelled my check so if they want there money they can take me to court! Cons: inexperience, rude, lame, fraud more

I wouldn't recommend these bozos to aerate the air. The destroyed marked sprinkler heads and keep calling FIVE years after I last used them, eating up my cell minutes. more

I, unfortunately, have dealt with Mile Hi more than once. The first time, my wife took time off work to come home during the agreed time frame to bring our dog in the house. They never showed! Last year, my neighbor had made arrangements with them & asked if I wanted to have my yard done. I reluctantly agreed. Once again, my wife took time off work and this time they showed, although late. They were supposed to do fertilizer & aeration. They didn't speak English, but, when my wife pulled out of the driveway to run an errand, they were able to communicate that they wanted to be paid. She wrote them a check. When I got home from work, I immediately saw that they hadn't done a large portion of the yard. I called & told Chrystal that I expected them back before 5:00 (bank closes at 5:00) that evening to finish & if they didn't show, I would stop payment on the check. If they showed after that, I was going to deduct the stop-payment cost from their payment. They showed up well after 5:00, almost dark & pouring rain. They completed the job & I followed up with a check for $45 ($70-25). I've never heard from them since. So, you can get off their list if you play hardball with them. more

Had an appointment scheduled for liquid aeration/fertillization and no one ever showed up! I contacted their offices via email since it was the weekend and was told ""this is not how we do business, can we send someone out tomorrow""? I quickly returned their email asking if they could come out Tuesday, not Monday as I wanted to be home. I did not get a response from their offices for THREE days! What kind of customer care is that? Not accomodating, not responsible and would not recommend! I wish I would have read these reviews before deciding to go with them in the first place, it would have saved me a huge headache! Pros: Absolutely None! Cons: Did not come when scheduled! more

This company is HORRIBLE!! Don't use them!! You will be sorry!!\r I have been trying to repair my lawn for the third year in a row now. \r They contaminated my grass with weeds, dandelions, etc. I NEVER had these for the previous 5 years and after using them once, my lawn has been HORRIBLE!\r They won't stop calling; they say they'll remove me but they don't.\r The best advice is to use someone else.\r Hopefully enough people will get this message, they'll go out of business and stop calling us.\r Cons: their service is horrible, they'll ruin your lawn, no customer service or help more

I had Mile Hi Aeration aerate my lawn on October 15,2007. During the aeration process they broke one of my sprinkler heads that were clealy marked. I have called several times since and have talked to Crystal to have my sprinkler head fixed and to date they have not come to fix the damages they caused. This is not a company you want to do business with as they take no responsibility for the neglegence of their employees. And yes I will see you in court! more

DO NOT USE THIS FARCE OF A COMPANY!!! I used them last year and it took 3 tries for them to actually make it out to aerate. Then whoever showed up raced across the lawn and the advertised ""3-4 inch guaranteed plugs"" were less than an inch. They also broke a sprinkler head I had marked clearly. When I called to rectify it, the call taker called me a liar! She wouldn't even send someone out to look in person to verify my complaint! I wasn't smart when I hired them. I should have checked with the ""other major business consumer watchdog"" and other reviews like this one. PLEASE GO TO SOMEONE ELSE!! Save yourself the hassle and the humiliation of having them take your money and then call you a liar when you call to complain. Cons: POOR SERVICE. ITS A RIP OFF! more

I have been useing Mile High for 2 years. This year I was not happy 2007. I scedualed an appointment a week in advance for Thursday April 19 got a auto curtisy call Wednesday April 18th confirming the appointment. Here it is Sunday nothing has been done. I called and they said the same thing some of the other reveiws have stated they had the wrong address but when she read it to me it was right I said it was right she said oh well they spelled Phoenix wrong I said so it still means the same thing. I if they could not find my house they should have called they have the phone number. Also with meusing them for 2 years where in the system how could have been spelled wrong. She said she didn't know what happened but she could rescedual me for Tuesday the 24th I said I should be be on for today or Monday she said Im booked. Thats not my problem I was scedualed befor them. You can pay the over time to them for them to come out here. Im sorry mam we don't do that. I took the appointment we'll see if they show. Pros: Good when they show, good for the money Cons: never show, give the same low exscuse to every one when they don't show you address is wrong (come on)!!! more

I first used them for carpet cleaning and window cleaning. I got my exterior windows cleaned for I believe $35 for the whole house. No complaints, the guy did a great job.\r \r The carpet cleaning was two teenagers with no clue what they were doing. There were stains left that should have come out and there were carpet fibers all over that had been ripped out. I paid next to nothing for the whole house.. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'm hiring a professional.\r \r I paid $110 for aeration, fertilizer, and overseed. I wasn't here when they came and they only aerated the front lawn and I saw no evidence that the rear lawn had been done. I called back to get them to do the rear lawn. The guy returned and was finishing as I got home. The rear lawn is partially done and I see no evidence of overseed/fertilizer anywhere. I called and complained about the overseed/fertilizer and was told it's hard to see because it's mixed with topsoil. I don't see topsoil either. I think I was scammed. Also, they keep calling requesting their money with an automated message even though I paid. Probably because I made them come out a second time to finish the job. \r \r I would pay $35 for the aeration alone, and just sit outside and watch the guy do it. That way you know it was done. I'd say it's a good deal, just make sure they do it.\r \r I STRONGLY suggest being home when the lawn service is done, or else I think they just skip it and take the money.
