Dishwasher Purchase 5/7/2013

Had to have a second dishwasher brought out - the first one had a broken part and leaked!! The installer for the second dishwasher, Chris, did an excellent job. He was prompt, courteous, and the installation went smoothly. This is the fifth appliance that I have purchased through Dick Van Dyke and I have been happy with each purchase!! more

Great Experience 5/6/2013

Bought a washer and dryer and was really pleased with the whole experience from the purchase to the delivery. The salesman, Andy. was great to work with. Called to schedule a deliver date and was willing to hold it until I was ready. Harold was the delivery/service man. He was really careful not to bang walls or scrape floor. Checked everything out before leaving. Will definitely do business with DVD again. more

Excellent experience all the way around. 5/3/2013

Particularly want to praise Harold, who installed my washer, dryer, and refrigerator. He did a remarkable job hauling in all the new, and removing old appliances. It was difficult - stairs, rain, hot, humid, close corners, dog wanting to play ... Very difficult, but Harold wrestled those appliances in like a champ. He was courteous, and went out of his way. It was late, around 7:30 p.m. when he finished and he was still able to smile. You are lucky to have such a nice and competent young man in your employ. more

Previous experience with Appliance World was excellent, but this week sales and delivery were not up to par. Not sure if I would recommend them or not. Stove arrived with nick in it. more

Very nice experience again!!! 5/2/2013

Today Chris delivered a Frigidaire Stove with installation and leveling completed expeditiously, but thoroughly. A couple of years ago Chris delivered and installed a washer and dryer with the same care and technique that was demonstrated today. He is a kind man and so careful in his work and extremely knowledgeable. He has done an excellent job for me on deliveries and installation and answered every question I had just as Rick in the Decatur Office has always done. Thank you again for the excellent service. I LOVE THE 5/10. The service is excellent whether shopping in the Decatur Store or delivery of appliances. There is no comparison (which I've done with other stores) with DICK VAN DYKE APPLIANCE WORLD. more

Why shop elsewhere? 5/2/2013

Time and time again when I shop for appliances I have gone to the competitors and end up going to Dick Van Dyke. The only purchases I have felt good about were purchases made at Dick Van Dyke - Why??? Its simple. I always purchase an extended warranty - if you are one of these people then Dick Van Dyke should be where you purchase. Their built in service plans are top notch and you get a hold of them directly, not the seller to third party and then wait a few days. I paid less ($20.00) shopping at Dick Van Dyke than going to other competitors and the Service plan for a piece of mind is so much better. I didnt know this either, but you pay NO SALES TAX if the seller delivers and installs your purchase. Wrap that up with a rebate and it's pretty much free! No hassle, let the pro's do it. Our service man, Chris, did an excellent job and answered all my questions. Very professional and made sure everything was jus the way it was suppose to be before he left. If you are thinking of getting some type of home appliance, don't think about going someplace else. They also offer Financing via Wells Fargo and typically have zero percent interest for 6 months." more

Great installer 5/1/2013

Only reason I downgraded total experience was b/c dishwasher was supposed to be delivered and installed on Friday. Was called on Friday to confirm I'd be home, went home waited...got a call from my salesperson stating there was a problem with the dishwasher and they couldn't come until the next Wednesday. I took the day off work...disappointing!! Richard was an amazing installer. Very professional and did a great job! Very happy with my Bosch!! more

Awful Service 4/25/2013

Had our washer looked at and was told we would be called the next morning with an estimate. Never heard from technician and when we called the store we never got a hold of anyone and our message was never returned. Decided to buy a new one here because of the great warranty, but have thus far encountered the same bad service with that one and are STILL waiting for it to be delivered! more
