Excellent sales and service. 2/24/2013

The sales person listened to my description of the kind of refrigerator I was looking for and showed me only the models that fit that description. They scheduled the delivery for the next day (Saturday), called that morning to tell me the range of hours of delivery, and the delivery guy called when he was about 10 minutes away. He was very considerate when taking out the old and bringing in the new refrigerator (closing the door behind him each time) and took the time to answer my questions. I'm very satisfied with my experience. more

I just replaced an oven/microwave combo, dishwasher & fridge. They were all built in cabinets so there were only specific models that would work. The salesman took the time to explain my options and make a recommendation. The appliances were installed and I was impressed by the care at which the installers took. Purchased on Monday, installed on Tuesday 2/12/2013

We purchased our GE dishwasher on a Monday and they were able to install it the very next day. Saved us time and money by being able to do the install on our scheduled. Richard the installer did a great job, was there when he said he would be, kept a very clean work area and was very polite and sincere. He was very good at explaining how to use the new dishwasher. We have purchased most of our appliances from Dick Van Dyke and would highly recommend them. more

Exceptional service 2/7/2013

I just want to thank you for the excellent service I recieved from Garrick on January 14 on my dishwasher. His service was very thorough, fast and courteous. I am 95 years old and it is so upsetting to have trouble with utilities when they are not very old and I take care of my utilities. So good service means a lot when things are difficult at 95. The part was on his truck which avoided another trip. I shall recommend your repair service to my neighbors especially to Senior Citizens who find things difficult today. Thank you. more

We recently purchased a Maytag refrigerator. We had some challenges because of narrow doorways but our salesman, Bob Turner, took the time to check out all the dimensions to be sure it would fit. The delivery was scheduled and was completed at the specified time. The two young men who did the installation were efficient, courteous, and pleasant. We have purchased a washer and dryer and a dishwasher from Dick Van Dyke within the last year and when the stove and/or microwave go, we will definitely go back to Appliance World. more

My washing machine died on me unexpectedly last weekend. From the service guy who came to diagnose the problem to the salesman (Lee) who helped me pick out a new one in the showroom to the technician (Richard who delivered and installed it the very next day, every point of contact was excellent. All three employees were helpful, friendly, and honest with me. I love the fast delivery - and I especially love the 10-year warranty on my new one. Both Lee and Richard were also extremely helpful in steering me in the right direction on how to avoid future problems (I think I have an electrical issue in the house). They went out of their way to offer suggestions and guidance and I truly appreciate it! more

no nonesense on time delivery 1/30/2013

Our delivery was scheduled for a Saturday. As promised, the driver phoned when he was half an hour out, arrived on time. Dropped off the dish washer, picked up the old one. Very courteous and conducted himself in a way such that he was very much welcome in our home. I installed the dish washer and to date it performs as promised. Our Kill A Watt meter says that we actually get a little better energy efficiency than promised. more

Sales and delivery service 1/29/2013

I ordered a set of compact Bosch washer and dryer. I worked with Bob in sales who was always willing to answer my questions. He was very helpful and very patient with me. The appliances were delivered as schedule by Richard who was very polite, helpful and careful. I have not used the appliances yet but I am looking forward to doing so. more

Horrible Service for Repairs 1/28/2013

I called for an appliance repair in December. A "repairman" was sent to look at the appliance and diagnose what was wrong. I was charged $25 to be told what the problem was. I received a call the next day (voice message) saying the part needed was on back order and that they would have it in 5-7 working days and if I had questions to call. After 14 days, I called a different appliance repair store. I informed them that someone had already come out and was told that the needed part was on back order, and that I never heard from them again. The person I was talking to asked me -- can I ask if this was Dick VanDyke?? I was very surprised. I said as a matter of fact - YES it was. She informed me that they get more calls of this nature than they can believe about DVD. They sent out a repairman to look at my appliance -- what Dick VanDyke told me was wrong was INCORRECT. This place fixed my dryer that day and I saved over $100 based on the estimate DVD quoted me. I highly suggest NOT using Dick VanDyke for any repairs. more

New dishwasher fail 1/24/2013

My most recent experience with Dick Van Dyke Appliance world involved my new dishwasher. The door failed to stay open at the appropriate angle. It's heavy and would just flop down. After fixing it 3 times in 4 months and each time having it break again, I was given a new dishwasher. The service was always prompt and courteous. I have done business with Dick Van Dyke on several other occasions, and my experience has always been positive. I'm happy to recommend them. more

I recently had to replace my old washing machine and after a lot of research, decided on DVD. Their service has and was very prompt and quite good. The purchase of the machine was quick and easy. The female sales person was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The machine was to be delivered right before the holiday. DVD has a separate full sheet of paper that is filled out regarding just the delivery - where it is going inside the house - how many steps - how many turns - how many doors, etc. After all of that there was only one delivery person sent. I was scheduled for delivery the last four hours of the day. One person could not install the machine and I had to call the store. The male salesman that I talked to was very short with me on the phone and said I had to reschedule delivery. I had to wait another 4 days before delivery was able to be made. It's one thing if I had not filled out the paper correctly regarding the delivery/installation of the machine. Since I did tell them specifically that they would definitely need at least two people, maybe three; why send just the one delivery person? Very good products, service and price. Questionable sales personnel so just be aware. more
