The owner was uncooperative in honoring my service warranty for the my last purchased appliance requiring me to go directly to the manufacturer for resolution. After only five years the repairs on the warranty replacement practically cost the same as a new machine. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I will never buy anything else from DVD. RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World: We apologize that you feel our warranty and customer service team didn't meet your expectations. I have researched the situation surrounding your appliance and it appears we did take care of many of your issues. Our warranty replaced your appliance with a new appliance during the five years it was covered under warranty. My records also indicate that every time your appliance needed service we were there to service the machine within the guidelines of our warranty at no cost to you. We apologize that you feel we were being unfair because we wouldn't give you a second machine after the warranty expired. Our exclusive five year warranty pays for all the parts and labor for any mechanical failure. After the five year warranty expires the exclusive major component ten year coverage begins. Mike, our salesman, and Richard, our installer, were so very friendly, extremely knowlegeable, and informative. They answered all of our questions honestly. Mike did NOT try to pressure me into buying out of my price point even though my husband was not there and was out of town. In fact, he told me about clearance items for me to SAVE money. Many people would try to steer us into a more expensive pair based on their commission (I'm assuming that's how he gets paid). It was very refreshing. Richard answered all of my husband's questions promptly and very helpful!! more

refrigerator repair, purchase of refrigerator and dishwasher 6/18/2013

We had them out to repair our refrigerator and the ice maker wasn't working. They repaired the leak in our refrigerator and said they did all they could on the ice maker. The ice maker never worked after that and finally completely broke. We went and bought a new refrigerator from them and the guy installing that said the water was turned off to the ice maker. Very happy with him and our purchase. Then the dishwasher went out and we purchased from them. Angie was very nice and took me at my word that I didn't need all the bells and whistles and sold me a floor model that I thought was a good price. Richard was very nice and hooked up the dishwasher nicely. I would purchase more appliances if needed from them. Hopefully not though. more

Richard delivered my new refrigerator yesterday. He was very courteous, prompt, efficient and personable. He was able to answer all my questions and reviewed the operations with me. The sales people in the store were courteous and very helpful and efficient also. more

The sales staff that I have worked with have always been knowledgable and helpful with all my questions on the appliance in question. Delivery has been excellant. Richard delivered and installed the washer and dryer in a very professional and timely manner. I was very pleased. I have also had Jim as our serviceman over the years when needed and he,likewise, is very knowledgable and professional in the service area of appliances. Kudos to everyone at Dick Van Dyke. more

Dishwasher 6/15/2013

My dishwasher had not been working for the last month (working periodically). Went into DVD and Bob answered all the questions that I had very thoroughly and helped me to find the perfect dishwasher for my family's needs. Chris then did an excellent job at installing and removing the old dishwasher in what seemed to be lightening quick fashion. I will definitely be going back for future appliances. more

Frigidaire 6/15/2013

We purchased in December and already compressor has gone out. Waited a week for another one and when tried to install it was not any good either. Now, another week and still waiting for service to get another one in. Stopped in the store to see our salesman Glen who I had talked to at the end of the first week. He was nice seemed concerned but he was not in today. The salesman today MIKE seemed to care less, to complain he just wanted us to talk to service. Well, service did not talk to us about using them or warrenty the showroon does that. If store wants to promote how good service is they sure have let us down. The service tech was fine, they can't work if don't have the part, I am sure it is not his job to get the part. Our commercials and our brand promote getting the "Whole Store" when you purchase from us. I have spoken to everyone that was involved with your appliance service and shared your comments with them. Knowledgeable sales staff and delivery team 6/14/2013

We bought a couple new GE appliances. Salesman Greg Butler gave a good summary of differences between different models. We got a new oven and fridge with the features we wanted. We had some problems with the cabinet space for the new fridge but the delivery team gave some recommendations to quickly resolve the issue. The delivery team installed the appliances quickly. Richard the installer for the fridge was especially helpful. more

Great experience with purchase and delivery 6/14/2013

As expected, when a washer 'dies' we want a replacement as soon as possible. The salesperson, Angie, was extremely knowledgeable and patient, as well as courteous. We selected a washer and it could have been delivered the next day if I had been available to meet them! Chris delivered and set up the washer in a few days. He was fast, knowledgeable and courteous. I am glad that I went to Dick VanDyke to purchase my new washer. more
