I contacted Cool Air USA because my AC was not working properly. Basically, it was not cooling. Two technicians arrived at my home. After 10 minutes, one of the technicians tells me that the system needed to be flushed. I asked how much is was going to cost? He sits down and writes 4 things on a piece of paper. He tells me that the cost to flush the line is $584, new thermostat, new humidistat and replace a contact (whatever that means) would be $1,198.\r
Needless to say, I was shocked! When I told him that I needed a second opinion and would need to contact another company, the Cool Air USA Technician told me \r
""Well, you really don't need these 3 things I've listed here. And if you give me lots of referrals I would be willing to do it for $400"".\r
How do we go from $1,198 to $400? He said, ""Well, I am just telling you that these things will eventually need to be done"". I didn't understand. Eventually? I told him that he just told me that it would cost me $1,198 to fix my AC and that It wasn't until I told him I was contacting another company for a second opinion that he then was willing to lower the price. \r
I obviously told him to leave. I called TASCO Plumbing & AC and they came within the hour and charged me $150 to flush the line. Yes $150! \r
Without a doubt, Cool Air USA was taking advantage of me. When I contacted the company to complain. Their response was "" Really, this is one of our best guys. We're not saying your wrong"". \r
This was my first and last experience with them and I would never refer this company to anyone. They are in business to take advantage of people. I have taken the time to write this review so others can avoid experiencing what I did.\r
