I was initially a bit hesitant since my tenants are a bit temperamental when dealing with any service reps around the house, but these guy were awesome! My tenants said they came in with a professional demeanor and within 10 minutes had the unit diagnosed. They explained to me at length and with much attention to detail the issue I was having with my coil and what cleaning needed to be done. I paid for that service 2 weeks ago and my I haven't heard a word from the tenants. This is the type of experience you want to have with a service company. I called the once and I will call them again. more

They came in, saw some mold on my AC Unit, and presented a list of items that added up to about $2k. Assuming it would be a deep cleaning, I accepted They overbilled me for items, such as a $99 UV light, which they charged $450 for, then they stated I needed to install a capacitor and a contactor. After consulting with experts, I was able to determine that the AC would have never worked without it. Yet another $450 down the drain They also charged me $150 for an item that should have been included in the service call When the charges began adding up, I told the technician I was going to have to forego the dryer duct cleaning and he told me not to worry about it, that they would do it free of charge, but then put a $250 charge on the bill! I confronted him on it, and he tossed the bill back in my face. I called them up to ask them how much they charged for dryer duct cleaning, and the customer service rep stated $89. When I asked why then was I charged $250, she began to stutter and told me to call back when she had more information (more like when she had devised an excuse for ripping me off) Further charges included a $450 charge for repairing a free-on leak, which the technician specifically said I did not have and because of that I was going to be able to afford other repairs (capacitor and contactor). At the time I am writing this report, this company has over 30 complaints filed against them with the BBB, and I will be adding mine. The very same day they ripped me off, they ripped someone else off in my neighborhood (guess that's why they were in such a rush to leave) After unsuccessfully attempting to resolve the dispute amicably, I have given up and resolved to do everything I can to make sure no one else falls for their scams. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! more

I am posting this as an update to a previous post...Although there was much insanity and miscommunication in the beginning, the customer support that both my husband and I received was second to none. Morty :) was as sweet as pie and did everything above and beyond for me from seeing that our tech was in route to calling back the following day to make sure things were as they should be. Morty listend to my tangets and really seemed to understand my frustrations. When all was said and done, the problem was fixed, exactly as it should have been. We requested the same tech and that was just who came out (right on time) to install our new thermostat. Adam was also very patient, explaining to me over the phone while I was at work, what was done and why it needed to be done. Morty and Adam single handedly brought me back to ""happy customer status"". Sometimes all it takes is a kind, gentle word to diffuse a situation (we all know how we get living in FL and having NO AC!) and send a happy customer on their way. Cool Air needs to make Morty and Adam very happy, giving them the moon if requested, as they are the customer service backbone of this company! This company is a freaking joke not only is the office staff rude and condisending the manager I spoke it cant even speak proper english and was trying to sell me an ac system the was exteremly expenive. I would not recommend this poor excuse of an ac company to anymone!!! more

The company is a DISGRACE; not only is their office staff unprofessional & inept, but their technicians always fabricate a problem or try strong-arming one into agreeing to an unnecessary additional ' work.' There's always find a problem with the Freon level, even if the visit is 6 months later when the unit was barely used. Then they want to sell you a UV light system to improve air quality of an old unit, when new ones come equipped with UV lights & washable filters. I'm sick of their obvious money gouging attempts, & have vowed never to use them again. A service charge supposedly is $29 yet they charge $45, & each visit the bill is never less than $1,000 after they've concocted problem after problem. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY; THEIR AIM IS NOT TO DO AN HONEST DAY'S WORK. IT IS TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FROM EACH CUSTOMER more

Very professional. Showed up on time. Fixed the issue in 30 minutes I haven't had a ton of experience w/ heating and air repair, but I expected the worst when the my system began making noise.
