I found them thru friends in our goup . I called and visit them .First they know what they are talking about and all prices are very reasonalble.Then they fix the problems same day , that was to much for me to handle , I was shocked , no presure , easy going people .They gave me so much advise and they show me all problems and explain it and teach me ,it was like going to school .Oh my goodness ,they know all tricks and how make internet easier and all softwares and different models and waring and more .\r I will go them for all my electronic stuffs. The man who fixed my computer, Jacob, is a wizard. I spent hours trying to talk to techs all over the globe, getting nowhere and understanding little. Spoke to other local computer repair techs who scared me, who said it sounded like my computer was fried. Dead. Kaput. They said it would cost. A lot. And take a week to fix. If it was even possible. As a writer, this news was panic-inducing. I don't have a lot of dough. I don't have a week. I kept calling around. Then, lucky me -- I got the recommendation for this store. I arrived. Everyone was friendly. Lowkey. Funny. Focused. Confident. They fixed my desktop computer -- I'm not exaggerating -- in 15 minutes. That's right. 15 minutes. Oh, then, just for a bonus, they also sped my computer up. That took another 15 minutes. So not only did they fix it quickly, cheerfully, and inexpensively --but they made it work better. He told me he had specific parts for a printer I needed to be repaired. he said it would take 4 days. 3 weeks later he tells me he needs to order the parts and he refuses to give me the printer back. This is the same store as Computronics. The owner gpes by many names. He constantly writes positive reviews about himself online. The real reviews are the complaints. If you (or someone you know) had a bad experience and agree that this store should be out of business, post a complaint here. They overcharge, present bills far above their etimates, sell used merchandise as new, do not do the work they agree to, treat customers like dirt, use old equipment and unqualified personnel, do not deliver merchandise when they say they will, mishandle your private data. Most amazing experience on fast and clean service on my computer ,They knew the problem right in 2 minutes and they had parts for installation , I went to get lunch in one hour and 1/2 repair in done computer is ready system working all parts all in order and what deal and price . Mean while they were very busy 4 tech working phone is ringing . People are coming and chatting and pickup notebook deliver 2 a time and waiting for their system . I find them from and good friend and went to them they analyse the repair very deeply to me show me smaple of repair walk me on step of repair and how long it take , then I left . This has been the most absurd and unprofessional customer service I have ever seen!!\r \r I had taken my laptop for a corrupt OS problem fix and was forced 2 pay 45 dollars just to run a diagnostic test when I told the staff that I know that the OS is corrupt. Anyway I agreed to pay and wait and indeed I was told the same thing and asked to pay a whopping amount of 80 dollars!!! After a lot of debating I gave in and was asked to come back after 2 hours. I came in and was told that I will now need to pay a new total of 150 dollars now since they needed to format the HD! I expressed my shock and disbelief and the owner, Jacob and the assistant Debroh started shouting at me and pointing fingers!! \r \r The staff tells you to wait and be seated but starts attending new customers and completly disregarding customer's valuable time. I was in their store for a mind boggling 4 hours! And I didn't want to leave my laptop with them once more and come back to be charged a steeper price for another problem!\r \r Not only was it an aggravating experience but it also cost me a big hole in the pocket for a task which my techie friend culd have fixed for a drink!\r \r Please be aware and shop around somewhere else! I recently brought my PDA into Computronics for repair after I was told by phone that the item was ""no problem"" to fix and could be repaired and working again by the end of the day. Three days, 7 phone calls, 3 in-store visits and $40.00 later I received my phone back exactly as I had left it; still broken. I was promised repair times and when I showed, was told to come back the next day. The owner promised it would take just a few more hours and if the phone didn't work, he would not charge me for the service. I was quoted a price for repair, then the price inflated to 3 times the quoted price with partial work done; which meant I could either pay the new, exaggerated quote OR have the owner restore the PDA to its original condition but, would then be charged an additional $40.00 technical service fee. I argued with the owner and while he did give me a ""coupon"" (script on the back of a business card) for a free technical service in the future, I still had to pay the minimum charge of $40.00. ***NOTE: Near the check-out window, there is a sign that states there is a minimum charge any service of $40.00. In the end, I was given a broken phone, 4 days later than promised, charged $40.00 and spent over $20.00 for non-validated parking fees! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! Computronics in West LA is quite possibly the worst IT repair shop in the world with the rudest and most incompetant people I have ever met. \r \r I took two laptops in to get repaired. They called me several days later to tell me that they were both ready. When I went to pick them up, they told me that one hadn't even been worked on. The worst part is that the other one that was ""fixed"" was in even worse shape than when I had left it, and they claimed no responsibility for it. On top of that, they threatened to charge me for the entire ""repair"" job (even though the laptop wasn't working) until I showed them that even the original problem I brought it in for hadn't been addressed. Lastly, when I tried to take the second laptop home (based on the bang-up job they did with the first one), they refused to release it until I paid them $111 for a part that they already ordered. Basically, it was extortion. This was on top of the $150 I paid for the initial diagnostic service. \r \r I was there for 2 hours and saw 3 other customers come in. 2 of the 3 also got into shouting matches with the owner, with one woman coming close to tears claiming that she had her laptop in there for almost 3 months and the other claiming that she had been hung up on twice by them in the past day. \r \r It wasn't their incompetance that galled me as much as their mindblowing rudeness to their customers. These people are liars and theives. They will draw you in with the offer of a ""free"" analysis only to then quote you an exorbitant price for repairs that they probably don't even do, and that they will only stand behind for twenty days. They don't provide information about the work they do, the parts they replace, or the names and cost of those parts. Don't take my word for it - enter at your own risk.
