As we all know it's hard to find honorable people in the city or anywhere for that fact. but today my experience with computronics has changed my view. I asked computronics to change my screen on my Sony Vaio. and they did so,well. great price. but that""s only half, after so i was suggested taking my laptop for a free ""Tune-up"", when i did I was informed that my parts had been changed. I returned to computronics with questions to say it the nice way this time. Turns out the guys from geek squad are idiots. Computronics walked me through every concern I had and did so with a smile! You believe that I was making accusations and they still happily served me. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL i had the worst service if icould give less than a star would, i sent in my macbook about a month ago and ""jacob"" told me it would be done in a week. he asked for a 100 dollar deposit to purchase the parts which he never did a week passed by when i asked how my computer was which he told me he sent elsewhere.. weeks passed by and i got a call about it was unfixable. since when is a computer unfixable? i went in to pick up my UNFIXED computer i asked for my deposit back sinceh didnt do anything. he said no since 100 dollar service fee.. although he did NOTHING im telling you STAY AWAY!! read other comments. plus they are RUDE! more

I have been coming to Computronics for about a year now. And the service is excellent. No matter what I need fixed or whatever service I have asked for it has always been done in a excellent and efficient manner. Jacob, Ms Debbie, George & Ricardo are always courteous and more than willing to answer all my questions. I highly recommend that you bring all your computer needs to Computronics. more

I have been to about 5 different stores attempting to resolve a motherboard issue to which my computer was highjacked for 5 weeks before simply getiing sold a replacement. Then i brought it to Jacob and within 1 week problem solved and for less than 1/2 what i was quoted for just the parts at other retailers. He's what i would call an ""affordable genius"". No peer on the west side. more

These people will NOT help you at all!! Be very weary of taking anything to them especially a computer. They know very little and outsource everything. I brought my computer to them and they promised to have it fixed, couldnt get it fixed and broke it even more and then charged me a diagnostic fee on top of it. TERRIBLE!!!!!! more

Just wanted to add my wonders about how people above can say Jacob is the man! Now, you guys maybe are relatives of him or friends, because he's and remain the worst service around ever! Below my previous review. Make a favor to yourself and please avoid this crazy man. Seriously. My experience with Jacob is been one of the worst I ever got. I called him to replace a piece of my computer. I told him exactly the brand, the model, the piece I needed (and I know what I'm talking about, I've years of experience in this field). He told me the price and it was fine for me. When I brought the computer I've several surprises. First surprise: I had to leave a deposit of $70 to let him to buy the piece. But at the same time he told me he needed to check the computer to see if the piece was really broken. Second surprise: I called him back after two hours and he told that for the price we both agreed he wasn't gonna replace the piece but he was gonna just fix it. I told him to *do not touch* the computer. Third surprise: I told him I would have picked up the computer the day after and he told it was not possible since the computer was not in his shop anymore. The technician had took it. From there on it has been worst and worst. I wanted to get back my computer and all the time he had an excuse to not be available with my computer at 10am (the only time I was available). He told tomorrow will be ready, but then he wasn't. This happened for three days. We have got a discussion and he told me: I don't care, call the police or be upset, I don't care. Luckily I finally got my computer back. Another proof of how unprofessional this man is: they put a stupid sticker on my computer to write a note on. The sticker was very hard to remove, they had to scratch the sticker and take it out with some strength. Just unbelievable. This man is completely insane, stay away! Instead of solve problems he creates new ones! more

I have been doing business with Computronics for the past 8 years and must say I am very happy with them. All the employees at Computronics and friendly and helpful especially Jacob. I recommend Computronics to all computer users and friends. The company is professional and courteous. more

STAY AWAY!!! That's all I can say about this place. These people literally STOLE my money!!! Now that I think about it, I should have called the police - really! I left my computer for a ""free estimate"". When i got their ridiculously expensive quote, I decided to get my computer back and go elsewhere. They would not return my computer unless I paid them $65 for the ""free estimate"". I tried paying with credit card, so at least I could dispute the claim, but I guess they are PROFESSIONAL CRIMINALS because they demanded cash. I paid and left - didn't want to leave my computer there for another minute. You can't say you weren't warned!! more

I can't get a handle on what is really going on here, but whatever it is...it has nothing to do with fixing your computer. If you know what's good for you STAY AWAY. They aim to steal money more

Jacob was very helpful and friendly in fixing my older sony VAIO.He finished the work on my computer within a week, as well as being very professional and letting me know other problems he fixed. I highly recommend if you need work on your computer that you should go to his shop in Westwood.Its a long drive but its worth it. more

5 stars for shade, see ONE STAR REVIEWS at end of section for the true essence of an experience w/ Jacob at Computronics. Ive never seen such love and affection towards any staff in a computer stores review as the ones listed here. Jacob has used the review area as a blog, publishing details of unhappy customer transactions and bogus scripted dialog, which appear to have the same general character on both sides of conversation. When you get to the part where real customers tell of the nightmare they endured {one star) its very consistent and specific in the details of the way they were treated, overcharged and the inept service techs. Im going to wait and see what happens when our team completes their purchase, service and microsoft compliance policy investigation. more

They replaced my faulty D.C. Power Jack, which I discovered is the mechanical ""Weak Link"" of the ""Laptop Computer"" and is a very common problem, which needs to be diagnosed by legitimate experts. I received two other quotes for $150.00, which I felt was an exorbitant price to pay. They performed an overnight miricle for $67.00 cash on 02/02/10 and my laptop has not operated better. \r \r I highly recommend Computronics and their expert staff. I would like to take time to say to anyone in need of computer repair to go to Computronics. After being told by another company that my laptop was no good and that I needed to by a new on I gave it one last shot and took it to Jacob. After doing whatever test he did he told me that it could be fixed and would run me a few hundred dollars, I don't know about you but I have programs and things on my laptop that can not be replaced and I need more then air itself. Never the lest in less than 2 weeks I got a call saying it was done and I could come and get it. Well I am writing this review from it and I have to say they saved me thousands of dollars in software that I don have anymore by fixing and restoring my computer back to it's glory.
