Shopped them last and loved them! 2/24/2011

My experience at Commonwealth was beyond what I would have expected. Ivan was the lucky one with the pleasure of dealing with us, and we are not easy. But he was perfect for our personalities. Funny, personable and got us an amazing deal on our Kia Sorento(which we NEVER would have expected to afford)! The entire crew at Commonwealth was great, including Hiram in the finance dept. and the guys in the service shop! Great people. I definitely recommend doing your car buying business with them. more

SHOP US LAST!!! 2/23/2011

We recently bought a new Honda Odyssey EX-L with Navigation. We already had a deal elsewhere, but I wanted a specific color. Three weeks later I was still waiting. That other dealership told me it was a popular car and they couldn't find one. Fortunately, I decided to try Commonwealth Motors. Their slogan ""Shop Us Last"" really did work out perfectly! They promised they would find the van I wanted and have it delivered to the dealership within 2 days. They were great! Andre, the Sales Manager and Wilson,the Sales Rep. made the enitre process run as smoothly as I ever thought possible. I look forward to my continued relationship with them, in addition to the knowledgeable service dept. They synced my phone to the internal drive and spent time going over all the mechanisms that I wasn't sure how to operate. Kudos to Commonwealth!! more

This is by far the worst place to ever go to. They treated my wife so poorly that I had to go back and sit with the owner Chalie . He was rude and talked down to me and made me feel awlful. I wouls never buy a car from that guy os anyone who would treat people like he does. He kept the deposit my wife had put down on a car because he said that he had to do work on it to get it ready for us to take home. Are you kidding me .....Why wasn't it done to begin with? He had no answer.. then got irrate he turned red in the face. What a jack ass that guy is. So I lost my $300 deposit for no reason . Got yelled at by the owner and my wife is horrified by the whole experience. This place should never I mean never be visited for any reason. The place were we did buy our car feels like home and we love our salesman and the service has been great. more

Great service 2/22/2011

I recently bought a vehicle from Commonwealth Chevrolet and was very impressed with how kind, friendly and patient everyone was. My sales rep Nicholas was very informative, kind and considerate. The Business manager Karen was very patient with me and she was such a nice lady. I enjoyed buying my car at Commonwealth Chevrolet. I would definitely recommend this place. more

I purchased my first Honda Civic from Commonwealth Motors in Lawrence 13 yrs. ago, and just purchased my 2nd Honda Civic from them. The salesperson, Jeff Donahue, took his time to explain all the features of my new car, and called a couple days later to be sure everything was as promised. The people who work there are always very pleasant, and the service is great. more

Great Place to Purchase a Car 2/16/2011

I had the opportunity to buy a new 2011 Chevrolet Traverse at Commonwealth Chevrolet. I had the best experience buying this car, the process was smooth and efficient and the people I dealt with were professional, friendly and very informative. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family or anyone in the market to buy a new or used car. more

Shopped you for the last time 2/16/2011

I would never step foot in that HELL hole again. The sales mamager Kim treated us like we were fools . I can not beleive they are in business with what they did to my husband and myself. We went through all of there BS to get our car valued and it ended being almost $1000 more than we ended up getting from the dealer in our town. They even wanted $600 more for the car without our car being turned in. What a rip off. I am so glad we shopped them for the last time. No reason to have ever gone there. The owner seemed to be a tyrant...we could see and hear him yelling at one of the other managers about some stupid thing that had to do with a car on the showrrom or some other people who also walked out like we did after being treated so rudely. Never go to this place ....Bad vibes ! more

This was a place I called HELL to my husband . They treated us like trash . The whole game was played. Kept our keys , would not honor there advertised price . The place is dirty . The salesman David had not bathed in days and it showed . I would never go back to this place for anything... Run from Commomweath or even better never go near that palce. more

Honda Service in Lawrence 2/14/2011

Always accomodating service. Mike the service coordinator listened to my issues and made good suggestions. Car was ready when promised and Mike was even able to find a discount for me in the price. I believe Commonwealth wants my business and is willing to give the extra effort to keep me coming back. Jim the manager is fair as well and makes it a point to see that customers are happy. I have been going to Commonwealth for over 5 years now and no complaints with the service department at all. more

Straightforward and friendly experience -great 2/13/2011

I just bought a new Honda CR-Z after extensively searching the type of car I wanted and visiting many dealerships, most of which felt like the dreaded ""used car salesman experience"". Commonwealth was the last one I went to and I really liked their straight, professional and friendly attitude. The financial process was clear, quick and accommodating. The three sales team members I dealt with were very helpful. I bought my car from them and I would definitely recommend Commonwealth Honda. more

Great Service at Commonwealth Motors 2/10/2011

As soon as I drove in, someone was there to greet me, and I enjoyed the TV program while I waited! The man was courteous, friendly and explained everything to me so I understood it and didn't feel dumb! My husband and I were shocked at how inexpensive the amount was and I feel so safe driving my car knowing they checked over the whole thing. I am so happy and comfortable with their service! more

Love the service! 2/10/2011

In 2009, purchased my first Honda CR-V from Commonwealth and have also returned religiously for all service. Their service department opens early and is also open on Saturdays. Last visit was have the wipers replaced and also to have a strange sound in the passenger side wheel checked out. They did swap out the wipers, checked out the wheel noise - no problem, but also checked and adjusted the tire pressure in all wheels. The advisor indicated that as part of the 30,000 service (which was 7,00 miles away) the wipers are replaced at that time. He advised me to tell them at that time, not to replace them but have them put the inserts in the car and the dealership will replace them when I do need them in the future at no extra charge. Love the service, great people and will continue to go back! more

warning do not shop cm 2/8/2011

Caution doing bus. with these people dishonest and inexperienced.\r They removed tires from car to examine and stripped 2 lug nuts, also mech, couldnt identify parts. B ody shop is just as bad I purchased a car from them that was in an accident they never informed me or carfax the workmanship was terrible . more

Nice dealership 1/19/2011

Went in for oil change, inspection and TPMS light ""ON"" They took care of all the issues - car was under warranty, so it only cost the deductible. Only downside - was in there for ~3 hours - that could have been improved. (Though the waiting room did have a movie playing and free cookies / coffee!) more

Shop them LAST 1/18/2011

I purchased a 2010 CR-V after shopping around thru several dealers. Decided to give them a shot due to their advertising: Shop us last, you'll love us. I'm not crazy about dealerships and negotiations. But, they took the bite out of it and made the process a positive one. From the minute a stepped inside to the moment I took possession of the vehicle, the staff at Commonwealth took care of everything. They stood by their pricing and delivered the vehicle in advance of the scheduled time frame. Not one hitch throughout. I just had my 7,500 mile check performed. I was in and out in 1.5 hours. Their service prices beat the surrounding dealers. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgable. No need to shop around anymore. My next Honda purchase will be from Commonwealth. more

Good Car Buying Experience 1/10/2011

Just bought a new Honda CRV from Commonwealth Motors in Lawrence, MA before the year end, and I had a very good experience. ?The Sales Consultant, Malcolm, and Sales Manager, Joe couldn't have been more helpful. ?I was treated with respect and courtesy, without the high-pressure sales tactics that's so common with most car dealerships. ?I got exactly what I wanted on the car at a good price. ? The transaction process was easy and the car was ready for pickup in less than 24 hours. ?They did all the paperwork and took care of the car registration. ?I would not hesitate to buy another car from them even though there are many other Honda dealerships much closer to me. more

I just bought a new KIA from Commonwealth and I have to say they were a joy to deal with. Keith in sales worked hard with Shawn the manager to get me the car I was looking for.
