To the Verve Team, thanks for taking such good care off me over the years. I am trluy starting to feel my body as a whole for the first time in a long time. I am a registered nurse who has a set of beliefs that have been pounded into me since nursing school that I shouldn't see a chiropractor for anything. After 8 years in the field, I came to find out that several of the medical doctors that practice in the hospital say that after standing for hours in surgery that their chiropractor was the only one who kept them pain free. Well, a few days ago I woke up in pain and could not lift my arm, so one of our ER doctors gave me the name of Dr. Warkentin, the chiropractor that he has been seeing for 4 years. I went in had my x-rays and exam and it was diagnosed that I had an anteriorly subluxated shoulder. On top of that my cervical curve had diminished and had some rotation in it. He adjusted the area in question. I was amazed at how painless it was and the immediate results without medications were astounding. I have since referred several of my co-workers to his beautiful clinic. more

It has been a little over a year since I started my association with Verve, Dr Warkentin and his ever expanding staff - more precisely - family. It quickly became a home away from home with the atmosphere we have to work in and the clients who come for help. For me, it has been more than a little surprising at how very exciting it is to be able to follow a client's progress from initial visit to their freedom of pain, increased movement and health. What gives me the big rush is the ""Wow, I feel so much better"" or just the smile and big, relieved ""Thank you!"". And while I keep saying client, everyone who comes in has become so much more a friend. We talk about family, trips, interests, sports, so that when they are well, while you are so happy they have achieved that, it is also sad that it means, for some, their visits will be less frequent. This extension of friendship by a physician to his patients is really something to see; something you seldom hear about in this fast paced medical world. I have seen him do for so many quietly behind the scenes. Dr Dave is extremely generous with both his patients and his staff. More than once I have had clients say that ""coming here is like going to visit family, and you never get the feeling, as had at many places, like you are doing them the favor to come in"". (We are the Cheers of the medical community.) Dr Dave is truly one of those people who believes it before anyone can see it. His clinic is just the beginning of his dream and it will be very exciting to see where his vision and energy takes everyone in the future. more

I injured myself on the job and hurt my low back and neck. Mt captain told me that I should go and see dr. Warkentin and have it looked at. I had heard of Dr. Dave and Verve but never found the need to go in until now. He used a cold laser and decompression table on my back and knee. It felt pretty good getting off the table. During my injury I also broke a tooth and was amazed that I could also make a dental appointment there. Dr. Randall, the dentist got me right in and fixed my tooth on the same visit. I am now a regular patient of Verve. The clinic is beautiful and the staf and doctors friendly and knowledgeable. They make you feel like you are a part of their family. From the moment that my wife and I walked into this clinic, we knew we had found our new home. Dr. Prisbrey started our exams and our x-rays were taken by a proper radiology technician. After that Dr. Warkentin came in to introduce himself and really took his tim eto explain what was going on with our health. He knew many of our symptoms by simply looking at and going over all of our x-rays. It is the first time that I felt as though a doctor took the tim eto listen to us. The office is stunning and we definately felt like we were well taken care of without the typical 2 hour wait and then rushed along. Great job! more

I have been a patient of Dr. Warkentin's as is my family for several years. It had been roughly one year since I last saw him and i came in with shoulder pain. He insisted on a new exam since it had been so long. During the exam he listened to my heart and took my bp and notice that I had a weight gain since I last saw him. He also stated that it looked like I was tired and out of breath. On further examination he asked how long my ankles had been so swollen. I thought the questions were odd considering I was there for shoulder pain. He determined that I should see my medical doctor and possible a cardiologist as he suspected that I may have congestive heart failure. Before I left he took me to his personal office and explained to me for 20 minutes what CHF was. The next morning I saw my family doctor. He was impressed with Dr. Warkentin's knowledge as he was correct with his suspicion. I have since been put on medication by my new cardilogist and mty weight has dropped, swollen ankles back to normal and energy back. I still see Dr. Warkentin for spine problems but have a new found respect for him and his profession. Dr. Warkentin is a sharp educated doctor who will do what is right for you as his patient. I was referred to Dr. Warkentin by my physical therapist. My arms ""both of them"" had been numb after an auto accident for 6 months. I thought that this was my life. I am amazed that after only a few visits that my arms started feeling better but not completely. Dr. Warkentin referred me to have a nerve conduction test. A week after the test my results came back as positive and he changed his manipulations and therapies as a result of the test. My arms are nearly back to normal without medications. Recently I hurt my back at work. It had been several weeks of pain and getting worse when I googled top chiropractors in the phoenix area. I was amazed how many patients posted their results online. After seeing Dr. Warkentin and his staff at Verve I see why The office is a work of art and the doctors friendly and result driven. Dr. Warrkentin took time to really listen to my concerns. After looking at my x-rays and going over the results of my exam, he gave me a care plan. After a few visits, I started to feel like my old self again. This is the type of place that you actually look forward to going to and seeing the staff. I was referred to Verve Wellness Center by a collegue of mine at the fire dept. Alot of the guys see Dr. Warkentin for various problems. I had heard about him for years, so naturally when I hurt my neck and shoulder I went to see him. I was impressed how methodical he was with the exam, and how clear the x-rays were that showed up on a monitor. I felt better almost immediately. After a few weeks I felt 100%. Walking through the doors of this clinic is like walking into a fine resort. Soothing and relaxing. They have thought about the smallest of nuances. I had never been to a doctor before who actually sat down and got to know who I was before the exam even started. Dr. Dave Warkentin did just that. He really put me at ease, and considering the pain I was in, it was greatly appreciated. I went to Verve because of a long time numbing in my leg. Dr. Warkentin and Dr. Willaimson adjusted me for a few weeks with little results. Dr. Warkentin suggest that I have a nerve test for my leg. A week later, he went over my results with me and changed the way he adjusted me as a result. having leg pain was something that I thought that I would have to live with for the rest of my life, but since he adjusted me after the test I have not had any pain since. he had one of his assistants put me on a decompression table, and like i said, I no longer suffer with any pain. Iam so greatful for him as a physician and friend that actually took time to listen to me and refer me for the appropriate tests to come up with a solution. Pros: fast results more

I have been to a couple of chiropractors in my life. I was always told something about my lower back but nothing about symptoms of my migranes. Dr. Warkentin noted a diagnoses immediately and the first question he asked me was, "" Do you have migranes?"" I answered, "" yea, bad ones"", as he replied, ""I bet you do"", as he explained and showed me exactly what was wrong with the alignment of my top vertibrae and inscisors. I woke up this morning with a severe kink in my neck. I couldn't turn my neck either way and also had a severe headache. I went online and googled east valley chiropractors and was lead to Verve Wellness Center. I called and was amazed that they were open. They got me in almost immediately and within an hour I had filled out paperwork had an exam and had x-rays. It was pretty impressive of how busy they were for a weekend, yet, very organized and efficient. Anyhow, after seeing Dr. Warkentin and Dr. Williamson I felt alot better, in fact I could even move my head. Dr. Warkentin had told me that it would loosen up as the day progressed and gave me some gel to apply once I got home. It has now been 4 hours and I feel near normal. The doctor even called to follow up to make sure that everything was OK. My wife and daughter will make an appointment with this clinic this week. Also, they have primary care family doctors, a dental department. Highly recommended. Pros: open on saturdays! Cons: I waited far to long to get in more

I have never looked forward to seeing my doctor before I came to Verve Wellness Center. It's always like visiting a long lost friend when I go there for a manipulation. The wait is never long and they are always happy to fit you into the schedule. I travel from the far west valley 3 hours round trip to see Dr. Warkentin. he always seesm to know where I am hurting and how to put me back together. This clinic is definately worth the trip. more

I have a 9 week old that since he was born has suffered from having colic and reflux. My pediatrician told me to stop breat feeding and to give him less gassy foods. 2 weeks later, he was still the same. In fact worse. He didn't eat much and was always crying. Desperate, I was telling my cousin the problems we were having. She told me to do research on chiropractic care helping with colic. She was right, there were several articles about the positive results. I made an appointment to see Dr. Warkentin. He examined my baby and determined that he had a bad misalignement in his cervical spine. He very gently massaged the area and Dillan was not happy. The doctor told me that I should notice a slight improvement that night. He also oddly knew that my baby more than likely always wanted to feed from one side. Again, he was right. I brought my baby back on wednesday and he was doing 50% better. By friday I had my third appointmnet. Dillan didn't cry at all and he was sleeping through the night. i have one more visit next week to follow up. I am amazed of the immediate results. I am also very greatful that I spoke with my cousin about my baby and that I found the excellent group of doctors at Verve. Pros: treats babies! more

I first became acquainted with Verve as a patient seven years ago. Through the years I have had Dr. Warkentin treat my children as well. My kids look forward the our family trip to the clinic. I enjoyed the clinic so much that I sought employment here. I have now been working at the clinic for over six months and love coming to work. The environment is positive and uplifting. I have worked for Dr. Warkentin since the end of July 2008. I have to say it has simply been an amazing experience. I always go to work happy and motivated! Getting this job was a blessing to me. I am able to watch everything happen from the inside out!
