Verve Eye Care

I am writing this review because I have been to many different Chiropractors in the past 5 years due to back problems after having children. Of all the doctors I have seen, Dr. Gillen is far and away my favorite. Any chiropractor can do an adjustment, but he goes above and beyond. He isn't rough like some have been where you feel snapped in two, he doesn't just look at the one problem you complain about either. Unlike some others I have dealt with, it is nice to see a doctor that asks about your history and actually remembers it the next time you see them. Dr. Gillen makes it a point to know his patients as well as their ailments. Being pregnant again, I was concerned with being adjusted, eventhough I needed it! Dr. Gillen takes extra care to make sure that I am ALWAYS comfortable and does a few extra adjustments on my legs and feet that I never knew I needed until after he was finished--WOW! There are some chiropractors that will just quick adjust and run out, even if you aren't fully satisfied---he is not one of them! Even on days when my body is too tense to move, he uses several different methods to ease my pain. If you are looking for a chiropractor for any reason, please give Dr. Gillen a try, you will NOT be disappointed. The added bonuses of Verve are the water and roller tables that help you relax to give you a better adjustment. I went into Verve Chiropractic last Saturday as a referral from my neighbour. He referred me specifically to Dr. Gillen. He was extremely professional and helpful. He seemed genuinly concerned about my chronic sciatic pain. He took x-rays and explained everything thoroughly. He referred me out for an mri and it confirmed what he told me. A disc injury. My Doctor told me that I would need spinal surgery. I went to Verve Wellness where, after x-rays of my spine, I was given axial decompression treatments. After several treatments, I no longer had back pain and to my Doctor's surprise, I no longer needed spinal surgery. I found Dr. Warkentin and the other Chiropractors very professional who provided excellent care with an attitude that reflected, concern for the patient. I wanted to stop by and write a quick note. My head was throbbing today and Dr.Warkentin's adjustment was a life savor! Not sure if anyone out there understands what it is like to have a violent migraine, that is debilitating and simply wont go away ... it still amazes me that with a bit of an alignment in the body that something that is so painful can disappear! \r It's really amazing how this office works and how much chiropractic care has helped me. Firstly, I have a hard time believing gypsee20. The experience I have had at Verve over the past 9 months is nothing short of exceptional. I agree, Gracie is an awesome mascot for the clinic. She is so calm and friendly. Also, Dr. Warkentin has always been very professional and accomodating. His vision for what the clinic is becoming is incredible. I love this clinic and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone wanting the best. Pros: open 6 days a week and sunday emergencies!!! more

Verve wellness center is a one stop shop for all of my medical needs. They have some of the best doctors and staff around. The place is gorgeous and always clean. Nice extra touches like cookies, fresh fruit and starbucks coffe show that verve really cares about their patients comfort. I look forward to my weekly visits. i would recommend verve to anyone who wants quality medical care in a first class setting. Pros: Great docs & staff, great hours Cons: Nothing more

Gypsy20 here. After today's interaction with Verve, I have to change my review from the previous ""Apparently depends on when you go"" to ""Don't go AT ALL."" My spine was so screwed up after my adjustment that I had to go to a different chiropractor this morning to fix what Verve did to me on Sat. I then called Verve and explained what happened and politely requested that the $40 charge from Saturday be reversed. I was connected to the curt and pushy doc that screwed me up who tried to tell me that what I experienced was normal. I really can't believe all of the good reviews of this place as it is opposite to multiple experiences I have had here. Don't go on Saturdays, I guess! The first doc I had spent more time watching the TV set in the treatment room and commenting on it, yes, WHILE he was adjusting me, than paying any attention to what he was doing. (Um, doc, of course I did not see what just happened, I am laying face down on the table!) The next time I had a different doc with no bedside manner whatsoever. He was very curt and pushy in asking my advice on his personal matters, again WHILE he should have been paying attention to adjusting me. I was actually worse after this adjustment and left feeling like I threw $40 down the toilet. Best thing about this place is the office dog, Gracie. I love ya sweetie, but I won't be going back to this place. The Saturday crowd is a bit to be desired. more

Letzfly. Let me responde to your erroneous comment. I am the owner of the clinic. You were charged $125 on a weekend emergency visit to include a full series of radiological and diagnostic testing as well as treatment. This was a deposit until we were able to verify your insurance on Monday. You did hand us a copy of this information at the time of service and signed a form allowing us to bill your insurance the remaining balance. You would have been responsible to pay the remaining balance according to your own insurance allowable fees. We did not bill your insurance anything except for a simple code that we are required BY LAW to document. We spoke with both you and your wife several times and have agreed to re-imburse you the FULL amount, as a courtesy due to your stated financial hardship, that you feel was inproperly charged even though your own insurance company says we are 100% correct. It is sad to me that when we have sacraficed to build the best treatment facilty in Arizona to include you getting in on a Sunday emergency that you wrongly accuse us of improperly billing the insurance that YOU obviously gave us the information to bill. \r We wish you both the best in your future healthcare. We are glad to hear that you are feeling 100% following your completion of treatment at our facilities. They told me the first visit was $125 which I paid then they turned around and billed my insurance $568! When I asked them, they said if I didn't have insurance they would write it off! TOTALLY SCAMMED my insurance! I do NOT recommend them! They post fake comments to boost their reviews!! First let me address the person who titled their review ""Writing this for a family member"". Your title states you're writing a review for a ""family member"" yet in your absurd review you refer to this ficticious person as a ""friend"". My guess is there is no friend or family member and you just don't have the kahones to print your own name because your review is full of lies!! Grow up! Secondly, I have been a patient of Verve for many years now and it is THE BEST medical facility in Arizona if not the entire southwest. The doctors and staff are all very kind, helpful and caring. The facility itself is absolutely gorgeous. Half of the Mesa police and fire departments go there for treatment. I think that says it all. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed in Verve Wellness Center! more

I have a friend who went to the Verve Wellness Center to the Chiropractic dept., this person wouldn't ever write a review like this, so i thought I would in their behalf. I am very upset because of the insurance billing they did. The short story is: my friend had insurance thru spouse, they are now divorced so when my friend went to buy her own insurance she couldn't because Verve claimed anything and everything they could and wrote false items on reports. My friend called there, but they didn't want to admit any wrong doings. I feel super bad that she had this happen and now has to deal with it. I recently was referred to Verve Wellness Center, in particular Dr. David Warkentin by another pilot at work. I work as a pilot for Southwest airlines and had been having low back problems because of long flights in an uncomfortable cockpit. After complaining about it for several months my co-pilot urged me to go to this wellness center that he went to. I am glad I took his advice. The clinic is nothing short of unbelievable. I had been to other chiropractors in the area but none were close to this clinic. The staff were all so courteous and professional. The girl who took my x-rays also worked at Banner taking x-rays for them. Usually the dr. takes the x-rays himself which I found odd other places. Needless to say, the x-rays were digital, they gave me a CD copy and they were crystal clear. My problem was found and after only 5 visits, I am better. No need to go back for ever and a day. They actually got me better without having to see me for the rest of my entire life. Since then, I too have referred other co-workers praising this place. They also had dental there and the dental staff were equally impressive. Verve is setting the bar alot higher than other clinics out there. Thank you Dr. Warkentin and staff. I was having some back problems when I started going to Verve. My first visit was an emergency visit on a Sunday afternoon. Dr. Williamson took the time to explain everything to me from my x-rays to all the therapies and manipulations he used to make me well. He worked with me to make me feel 1000 times better than I did when I started care there. He made the whole healing process a positive experience because of his pleasant, outgoing personality. The ladies in the office make me feel welcome and are always pleasant. Having massage therapy added to my treatment was also very helpful to my recovery. Dr/ Brad Williamson is superb! He is both caring and very knowlegable. The practice is truely state-of-the-art and they make you feel like family. The environment is so soothing - from the music, to the soft color scheme, to the water feature - they are a class act! Really one of the Best! I was in extreme pain in my low back after lifting some furniture and it was a Saturday. I got Dr. Prisbrey's name from a friend and called him. I was not expecting to be able to get in on a Saturday, but he met me at the Verve clinic and I was surprised to see many other people there as well. Dr. Prisbrey did and evaluation and took some x-rays. After reviewing them he explained what was wrong and what I needed to do about it. He took the time to find out what was wrong with me and was very patient and caring. I felt much better after the treatment and now have been able to return to all my activities. I was recommended to Verve a few weeks ago by a friend after I fell off my horse. I had been having some low back pain and went to see Dr. Warkentin on the chiro side as well as Dr. Sava on the medical side. Both took the time to listen to my concerns. They had a rad tech take my x-rays and then gave them to me on a cd. I have been treating at Verve for 2 weeks now and my back is feeling much better. I found out they have dental as well so I will be seeing the dentist Dr. Randall next week for my cleaning and check-up. This place is really something. It is beautiful, clean and they really put the patient first. I would recommend Verve Wellness to anyone. more
