This spa has it all, Great people, relaxed enviornment, and great prices. Talk about full service, they have everything from Hair waxing to Spray on Tanning. If I only had more places to wax!! A++ more

By my kind of peeps for my kind of peeps. So far, I've only experienced waxing and facials here, but now that they've expanded their services menu, I'll certainly be back for more. An Affordable Gem! 3/15/2005

A funky, hole-in-the-wall salon that provides excellent services at reasonable prices! LA is full of overpriced salons that provide average services. At Wax Poetic, you can get a great haircut for a decent price. Their hair removal services are also excellent. They offer wine with your haircut on some weeknights and hold regular events in their art gallery/salon. Their customer service is average, but the results are fantastic! more

Making a Painful Process Painless 3/13/2005

The women in this place make you feel like you're a Queen. They talk to you while ripping hair out. Before you know it, it's over, and you're clean as a whistle, and realize, "Hey that didn't hurt!" But I got news for you, even if it did, they're worth it. They are "the best in the West". My gal skates in the Roller Derby. I have been going to Wax Poetic for over a year now.....not only are they super professional at what they do... they are hip, friendly, and care about you! Never have I seen a salon beable to pull off such style and versatility. I actually feel taken care of and have no hesitation telling them what I want. The Eyebrow Shaping Queen! 3/1/2005

I have been so tired of going into a salon and getting waxed by whomever is on hand at the local nail salon. I wanted to talk to someone that understood what I was saying and genuinely cared about the way my eyebrows looked when I walked out the door. Sandy, is the BEST waxer I have ever been to and my face looks so much better because of her expert advise. I love her because she cares and remembers you each time you come in! When I moved here a few months ago I was nervous about finding a salon. Fortunately I found Wax Poetic. Everyone is very talented and friendly. Go to Marisa for a great haircut. Fabulous! 9/14/2004

I had read the reviews for this salon and decided to give it a try. Meredith, my aesthetician, had a nice sunny disposition and was very skillful at her craft. They also had nice selection of product as well as other gift items. Parking was a breeze. Prices were very fair. I'm tired of going over the hill to pay too much money for too little service and bad attitude. Pros: Courteous, Fair pricing more

I highly recommend Wax Poetic salon. Demi is a talented stylist who works creatively and professionally. He gave me a terrific cut for my face shape and was very personable and friendly. After going to several different salons to get waxed I finally found a salon for keeps. I was referred to Sandi at Wax Poetic and I couldn't believe it she was hands down the best!!! She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I'm not the easiest person to wax. I was completely clean when I left ( not like other experiences I have had). She really knows her stuff. Wax Rules! 3/17/2004

This place is the best placed to get a waxing in LA. They use the blue plastic wax which is so great for sensitive skin! The enviornment is cool and the staff it uber friendly. Meredith the esthetician makes even a bikini wax fun. OK, maybe not fun....but she rules!!! more

Friendly staff, ok haircuts 10/18/2003

I went to this salon after reading all the great reviews about it. Once I got there, I was not that impressed. All the staff were super nice and friendly. But, I got the most boring hair cut ever. My long hair needed layers and style but all I got was little more than a trim. I didn't feel like my stylist was that skilled with working on long or curly hair. Based on the other reviews it seems others have had better experiences. It just wasn't the salon for me. Pros: nice staff, easy street parking more

Very Happy! 10/16/2003

I went to Wax Poetic on a whim, after seeing their ad in the yellow pages. I wanted to cut my shoulder length hair very short! I brought in some pictures and Samantha took the time to consult with me. She was very conservative with the length, didn't want to go to short in case I didn't like! How refreshing, most stylists want to chop everything off! I eneded up going back a week later to have her shorten it and she did it for free! I am a lifelong customer now. Decent Salon 10/9/2003

I went to this salon after so many rave reviews. Although I was happy when I left, it wasn't anything special. This could be an isolated incident but during half of my hair cut, I had to stand! At first I thought that this was the stylist's technique and I would be sitting soon. But I was standing for some time. The only logical explanation is that the chairs didn't rise. I wasnt given a reason for this. This just left me puzzled. No one else was standing. In addition, the sheet cover I had to wear was much too thin. I felt the wetness from my hair bleeding through to my shirt. The stylist was apologetic but this couldve been prevented. Overall the service and the environment was inviting. I doubt Id come back. I didnt have a bad experience. I received a good haircut but nothing special. Pros: Friendly, easy to get to, unique salon Cons: I had to stand more

Did not disappoint :) 8/9/2003

I have to admit I was nervous about trying a new place but after reading some of the reviews I figured I'd try the salon. I went in for color and cut and was completely happy with the results! I have received many compliments in the past two days. Thanx Jennifer!!! Loved that I wasn't "forced" into trying new products although I did receive suggestions and am completely happy with the product I decided to try. I will definitely be a return customer. Hands down the best place to get your style needs met. Everyone talks about Jackie but I have to recommend Jennifer!! She's a great stylist and a coloring master. I've gotten the BEST brow wax and tints there in my life by Kerry. TRULY perfect. I can't recommend the casual and sophisticated atmosphere enough. Cost complaint? Please. A great cut! 6/21/2003

I was skeptical about going to a new salon, because I've got long, thick hair and have had tons of style disasters courtesy of stylists who never listened to what I want. This one listened to me, made some great suggestions and was very, VERY skilled. The salon was pretty damn cool, all in all. 06/20/03 I went in for a new appointment and wasn't disappointed. The stylists are still, in my personal experience some of the best around. I was given great, effective advice and the price was right. I would point out to anyone worried about expense that the price ranges are clearly stated on the menu. If you think it's expensive, don't go. *shrug* I think it's fab.
