ERIC LEEN brought back my sanity!!!! I was so frustrated with the online deceit with other real estate brokers in New York City! I would ask each broker I called regarding a listing if they were advertising a true, for real, bonafide two bedroom apartment and they would say yes - only to find out later I would have to put up a wall, a curtain, or a screen. Madness! I was starting to wonder if there was an honest person left in New York. THEN I MET ERIC LEEN!!!! He spoke straight. He answered questions direct. If he didn't know the answers he went to the property in question in person or had someone onsite take photos. He truly cared about my needs and did not spent time trying to convince me otherwise. He listened and his highly tuned listening skills coupled with much perseverance resulted in the perfect apartment for me and my family! more

They Continue to Keep Helping Me A Month After Signing Lease 9/20/2011

I was moving from Chicago to NYC and had about 3 days to find a place with only 2 weeks until the move (long story, don't ask :). Eric helped me out and was a godsend. He asked what I was looking for, reached into his mental bag of tricks, and pulled out a magic rabbit. He not only showed me various high rises, but also explained and showed me surrounding areas. He gave me a ""local"" perspective about what I'd be moving into. I own my own business and finding a no-nonsense, straightforward, and not pushy person to focus and help me proved to be better than I expected. Thanks Eric for continuing to look out for me (even after signing the lease, we still talk and he's still helping me out). As a business owner, something like that goes a LONG way. Awesome! more

After moving from Washington Heights to Downtown Manhattan, I was ready to be conveniently located but not in the wildest dreams I had I would experience luxury experience in one of the most professional buildings in NY. We were lucky to find Ivana who immediately took on the task to help my daughter and her friends find an appropriate living space within their budget, location, and requirements. I am yet another happy renter who had to come online to write up a great review for broker Tony Messina. The second my roommates and I walked into his office in the Financial District - we knew we'd be walking away that day having finally found a place. We had been searching for over a month until we came down to New York Living Solutions - Tony presented us a bunch of options and worked really hard to find the right fit for us. He worked even harder to make sure we got a great deal and got through all of our paper work. He even took his own personal time to help us design a lay out for the apartment - going above and beyond what a normal broker, or other brokers we've worked with in the past have done for us. Tony Messina, Best Broker! 8/5/2011

Tony Messina was the easiest broker to work with. I have worked with several brokers of the year and have never found someone who truly wanted to help and was actually being honest with me. With my share of brokers, I have come to know that you end up wasting a lot of time looking at apartments that are clearly out of your budget (so that they can push you to, hopefully, up your budget). With Tony, it was easy from the start. I told him exactly what I wanted... a 2 bedroom/1 bedroom flex apartment in the financial district with a certain budget. He out did my expectations. The first apartment that he showed my roommate and I was the one we signed for right away. Of course he showed us other options... but with how fast apartments fly in NY, we knew we found what we needed and didn't need to look further. Not only did we get a 1 bedroom flex but a doorman building with high ceilings and large windows in our apartment. The best part is we were about $200 under our maximum budget. Tony Messina is definitely the broker I recommend for anyone looking for an apartment that doesn?t want to waste time. I know when it is time for me to move again, I won't be calling anyone else. more

When you walk in to NY Living Solutions there are a bunch of brokers sitting around ready to help you. While the brokers are great and the company is professional - you only want to work with them if you CANT get Tony Messina. I agree with all of the reviews Tony has (read them for sure). He is the best broker I have worked with. I came to NYC trying to avoid using a broker at all. The truth is the market is so saturated with brokers you don't really have a choice. Tony, though, makes having to use a broker the best option. He quickly gets what you are looking for and doesn't wast time in getting it for you. Like others have expressed - he will find you places that don't exist any where else on the internet and other brokers don't know about. And because he is so well connected he has the ability to get you what you are looking for below market value. I would highly recommend Tony Messina to anyone looking for an apartment in NYC. Anytime I ever move there is only one person I am going to call. more

Tony Messina... THE BEST. 7/27/2011

Tony Messina is simply put - THE BEST BROKER IN ALL OF NYC. My roommates and I worked with dozens of brokers all over the city and not one could perform the magic that Tony Messina could. A little background - my roommates and I came to NYC looking for a 3bd/2ba apartment. We could afford something between $3500 and $4200. Tony talked to us, figured out what we were looking for, and in one swoop showed us a 3bd/2ba apartment in a semi-luxury building with 24 hour security/doorman, laundry on every floor, and a HUGE layout for $3350. Let me repeat... he blew our expectations out of the water for $150 less than the lowest end of our budget! If you want someone who is ""nice"" or ""professional"" to work with, then you can find a ton of those in NYC - they will be the one's who show you the same thing you see on Craigslist. If you want the deal-maker who knows whats not even on the market yet, and can get you the deal of your life (plus he is also ""nice"" and ""professional"" to work with) then you want TONY MESSINA. Its funny - I thought he was being totally corny when he said this, but now I totally believe him: ""If there is a will, there is Tony"". Thanks Tony for everything, you are the best!!! more

Alex Caballero did a superb job in renting out our condo in the financial district. He was very knowledgeable of the area and the building, always responsive to my phone calls and emails, and very easy to work with. He found a well-qualified tenant in under two weeks and we struck a deal at our asking price. Alex is a hardworking, professional, and personable, and I will surely consider working with him again in the future and recommend him highly. more

Ivana Popovi is the best broker 7/3/2011

I found Ivana Popovic's listing on Craigslist, and contacted her. She showed me EVERYTHING in Financial District, right around and above my budget. Though I was working on an apartment with another broker (who turned out to be dishonest), I came back to Ivana because from the first day when she showed me apartments, I could see her honesty and good relationships with the buildings. She was very quick in communication and arrangement. Once we decided the apartment, everything was very smooth. She assured me everything would be ok, and it worked out in the best case scenario. Very thankful! Definitely recommendable. more

I was searching for a corporate apartment in the financial district and had little time during a weekend to find and finalize the apartment. \r \r I found Ivana Popovic from the Craiglist and I explained to her my requirements. Ivana was diligent in showing me the right apartments that suited my taste and I could reserve an apartment on the very same day. She helped me sign the lease within a few days. \r \r My experience working with her was very pleasant and I will recommend her without any hesitation to my friends. I found Ivana on craigslist about a month before I needed to move in to NYC from Chicago. After giving her a good idea of what we were looking for (big living room, under $3k, doorman, gym, etc...) she agreed to take me around Financial District and show me a few spots. Within an hour we had found the perfect apartment, with a very spacious living room and an incredible roof deck on the building as well as a gym, doorman, and everything else we had wanted. I happened because of Ivana's connections and reputation that we got a tip on an apartment that had just been listed within the hour. AND within our price range. We were the first people to see the place. It was beyond our expectations. She showed us comparable listings which were not nearly what we had just found. Ivana seems to know everyone worth knowing in the industry (my experience is limited to the Financial District but I know she shows throughout Manhattan). I have already recommended her to numerous friends and would not be taking the time to write this if I didn't feel she was the best in the business. She is a great person too and has definitely gone the extra mile for us. more

Great agent 6/25/2011

I found Ivana's listing on Craiglist. As a first time renter in Manhattan, I was not sure about where I wanted to stay or what kind of place I could get for my budget. Ivana went the extra mile by showing me a range of options in different sections of the city while pointing out their the pros and cons. At no time did I feel rushed during the process. I was also pleasantly surprised by her direct, personable and sincere approach in dealing with me. I was expecting to be subjected to the usual broker sales talk going into my apartment search but I did experience that with her at all. Ivana knows a lot about the rental market in New York and will show you only the best deals! more

I found Ivana on craigslist and I'm glad I did. She was extremely helpful from the first time we spoke and showcased her knowledge of the various neighborhoods. She knows the financial district very well and is friendly with all of the management offices. She was very responsive to all communications. I think one of her best qualities is that she doesn't bs you and shows you only apartments that fit within your budget and also have a good management team. She's very personable. She helped me find a place in less than 2 weeks, which was amazing. I highly recommend her to any one looking for a real estate agent who is easy to work with and helps you find the right apartment quickly. more

Tony M. gave me a pretty great deal 6/24/2011

I walked into the office at 90 John St after seeing an ad on CraigList that seemed very ridiculous. But it seems that Tony was able to get me that deal on the apt at 33 Gold and also lowered the price on it after negotiating on my behalf with the building management. One thing i realized is that Tony actually cares about your situation. Obviously most realtors are very interested in commissions and who wouldnt be, right ? Everyone has to make a living. But Tony got me the apt and I dont know how he did it, but he got it for me at below market prices. Way below. The agency itself is very legit and reputable. I would definitely reccomend this agency to people looking in this area. And if you walk in there...ask for Tony M. more

I was referred to Ivana through someone who had a great experience finding a place. Ivana was very fast to respond to my initial email to her with a call back, literally within minutes. She took all of my info, dates, budget and what was important to me. I moved from another city and had limited time to find a place. Ivana has a vast knowledge of all listings and properties in Manhattan and immediately gave me a list of options that she thought I would like. I wanted to live in the Financial District which she knows like the back of her hand. Ivana seems to have great relationships with all of the buildings management offices. She was able to get appointments to see listings within an hour of request which is important in NY as these places get leased very fast. \r \r I actually ended up liking UES more and Ivana was quick to find options within my price range, all in great buildings. Once I applied for my apartment she continued to help with constant follow ups with the office and trying to negotiate and help me get approved asap. \r \r I moved in within days of my application and absolutely love my new home. I don't think I could find exactly what I wanted and as fast as I did without Ivana's help. She is great at what she does and has a lovely personality which makes her a great fit for this business.
