Worst experince ever buying a new car 9/6/2011

Salesman was dishonest, manager was dishonest. I was told that they could get the vehicle desired, made a deposit. Next day they called and said they couldn't get the vehicle. I was told my deposit check would be shredded, it was cashed instead. I have emailed and am trying to get my money back as I had to go to another dealer an hour away to get the vehicle I wanted. Dishonesty was rampant at Honda of Concord. more

I have been doing business at Honda of Concord for years. Mr. Henry Cooper just sold me my new 2011 Honda CR-V with Navigation these are so hard to come by in the color I wanted. Not only did he get me exactly what I wanted buy he got it there in a flash. My experience with Honda 8/14/2011

My husband and I were totally impressed with this dealership and the employees. The salesperson,,Jim Doyle, was very courteous and friendly. We met two other fellows that were also very nice. The business manager, Lester Leader was very professional and organized. All of the paperwork was fully explained before anything was signed. I also like the fact that the upholstery is protected from spills, and this was also explained and demonstrated. If I had known that this dealership was as it is I would have bought all of our Honda cars from this dealer! Several members of my family all drive Honda cars and I have recommended that they go to this dealership when the time comes to trade. more

I was in the market for a pre owned car for my son. Tom Teiro was very pleaseant , patient, and took one on one time with my son to listen to his requests and answer all of his questions. My husband wasnt with us intially, but i never felt pressured or uncomfortable. Tom reviewed the history and details of the car very carefully and made sure we compeltely knew the value of what we were buying. Great Car Buying Experience 8/9/2011

I went in for an oil change and came out with an '08 Accord. I just love the car! There were a couple of items that needed to be fixed and I had no problem getting the dealership to replace the cosmetic damage for free and at a convenient time for me to go in. Michael Maman was my salesman and he was friendly and easy to work with. He made the process as smooth as a car buying experience can be. I left feeling great about the deal and about recommending Honda of Concord to anyone! more

I had did my homework on what I wanted and what I felt we could live with and to my surprise I had 3 Gentlemen that helped me with the buying experience to make it a more relaxed and informative experience and make sure I didn't make a big mistake. Get it in writing 6/3/2011

I walked into this dealer due to the fact they were the only one in driving distance with the color Odyssey my wife wanted. We agreed to terms and they transferred my tag for me. I was told by the salesman they would inspect the car for the NC requirements since my tag was up for it in about 6 weeks. He told me they would take care of it for me since it had to be inspected anyway due to its being transferred in from SC earlier that day. I had to return to the dealer for accessories I requested as part of the 'deal' fog lamps, cargo rack rails. I waited three hours that day. I returned a week later to have the door trim installed and to pickup a rear cargo floor liner. Another hour wait. Two weeks later my registration arrived, it was not updated for the next calendar year, not was the inspection performed. I know it is my responsibility to the state but I was told it would be handled. Next time I will get it in writing. I emailed the salesman about my disappointment surrounding the misleading conversation, he has yet to reply (surprise.) I will not forget, it is not the $28.00, it is the time. I spent an hour and half today going from the NC inspection station of my choice, then waited in line at the NC tag office (joy). I spent two hours total in travel and waiting to complete something they could have handled for me easily during the time of my accessory installs if I had known I needed to take car of it myself. Thanks for two hours of my life, gone Gerard. I will be reminded each year I renew my tags of why I will not go back to Honda of Concord for anything. I assure you I will share my wasted time story with everyone who asks about my new car and when I bought it. Even, perhaps, if they don't ask. I think I got a great deal, I love this van. I cannot say enough about Honda autos, we have been Honda folks since we learned to drive. I am just disappointed that I could have had the inspection done while there on more than one occasion had I know I needed to do so but I was told ""we will take care of it."" The Title clerk at the dealership disagreed when I spoke with her. Haymoose more

Great Customer Service 6/2/2011

I was extremely pleased with my experience at Honda of Concord. I decided to trade in my 2008 Honda Accord for a 2011 Honda Civic. I was looking to get a vehicle with better gas mileage. Wes and Victor both took such great care of me. They were able to look at my current vehicle to see how much I could get for a trade in. Then, they ran the numbers to see how much it would cost me monthly to purchase the new Civic. Best of all, they were able to roll in all charges into my monthly payment including the Service Care option, all for 0.9% financing. They were patient, helpful, and most of all they listened to my needs and answered all of my questions. I am so happy with my new Civic and plan to continue to use Honda of Concord in the future for all of my car buying needs. more

I was referred here by a friend who said I would not want to go anywhere else once I had been there and it was true! Everyone I dealt with was friendly, considerate, and not high pressure as you tend to think car dealerships are. They worked to find the car that fit my needs and gave a great deal, too! I've purchased many vehicles over the years and have always had a miserable experience for one reason or another, until now. Honda of Concord is the only dealership I will purchase from in the future. I started the transaction via the internet. I located a few vehicles I was interested in, submitted the credit application and within 10 minutes Joe Esola had reached out to me. I explained my needs, my trade and my expectations for when I arrived at the dealership. In the past, I've spent up to 7 hours sitting a dealership due to lack of staff and just overall poor dealership management. That said, my first expectation is that I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. Joe was certainly concerned with my overall customer experience which he displayed by engaging management and finance BEFORE I had even arrived at the dealership. While my trade was being evaluated, Joe and I were getting through all the paperwork that he was responsible for and finance was preparing their paperwork for me to sign. This impressed me because my past experiences had me moving through one step a time with no preperation ahead of time which caused me to spend my day at the dealership. The finance manager came out to meet me and we headed to his office to cover some details. He then had me meet with one of his teammembers to finalize the paperwork. While signing away, Joe brought me in a huge cheeseburger and chips since I had mentioned earlier that I was getting hungry. Now I'm not saying that you too will get a burger and chips but ya never know. I was now ready to leave so Joe pulled up my trade next to my new Odyssey (which is AWESOME by the way)under the overhang since it was raining out so I could transfer my personal belongings. I shook Joe's hand and thanked him for the wonderful experience and headed out my new ride. I HIGHLY recommend Joe and this dealership in general. Rick Hendrick is certainly very selective about his staff and truly understands how to run a successful dealership. This is due to his concern and dedication to his customers. 2006 Honda Civic 11/4/2010

I went in to purchase to purchase a pre-owned vehicle to replace my previously owned Honda. Transaction had a couple of snags...\r I had to request the internet price on the vehicle. It wasn't offered \r to me UP front.(I had researched the vehicle). Contract incorrectly listing my previous mileage on my trade-in with the customer number not the actual mileage. A BIG item was the XM radio. XM ready doesn't mean XM capable. Neither the salesman or the service manager explained it to me correctly. I was told wrong. All you have to do\r is call XM and give the VIN number and your service would be transferred....NO SO!!! You still have to have a XM unit installed.\r I had to have Best Buy come and remove my old unit from my trade-in. This wasn't a easy buying experience. more

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER 9/2/2010

They will try to SCAM you and talk you in to work you dont need. They tried to charge $275.00 to patch a ONE tire. When my wife laughed at them they let her leave only to find out the car was making noise like it was coming apart. Come to find out it was a bent and loose dust shield on the front brakes. \r We took the car to them and then they said the back brakes were worn out. Well when I told them I had just checked the brakes and they were fine they were rude to me and my wife. They also said that if we wanted the brakes changed it would cost $189.00. The two rude people said that I should look up the honda accord lawsuit and get reimbersed because that model had bad brakes. The problem is we had NO problems with the brakes before they changed the oil. Now we dont have brake problems we have noise problems. \r people on here who say this is a great dealer are fooling themselves they have been tricked they just need to check their bills to see. Dealer does not honor EBay motors pricing 7/23/2010

I was extremely disappointed in trying to do business with Honda of Concord. I was told there were 4 Civics in the color and model we wanted in stock. When we arrived the "one" was sold the day before. The sales manager insisted on adding very expensive, grossly overpriced accessories to our proposed purchase. We did purchase the vehicle of our choice from Hendrick Honda with 2 of the 4 "required" accessories at a price BELOW the Concord cost without any accessories. Dishonesty and gouging are not rewarded in the business world. This is factual information which reflects very poorly on the dealership. The Hendrick people were amazed at the pricing for accessories. I sure hope others consumers are informed and inquisitive to avoid being taken advantage of. more

Awful and RUDE 11/7/2009

I had a horrible experience at this Honda store when I was shopping for my current vehicle. Everyone expects the harrassment at the shop, but what they don't expect is the excessive harrassment post non-purchase! I had previously contacted the dealership online about an offer I had seen in the paper. Then I decided to go to the actual dealership to look at the cars. When there I had sat down with one of the salesmen who put on the pressure and then eventually left to think about what I had seen. Later in the week I had received emails from their representatives harrassing and insulting me because I had ""promised"" to purchase a vehicle and hadn't!!! They were just RUDE, and when I had complained to a manager, all I did was get more crap from them. I told them to be weary, b/c just because I hadn't purchased on that day didn't mean I couldn't have gone back in the future and they should remember to take care of ANY and ALL potential clients. They were just horrible, and I will never EVER go back to them, and will never let anyone in the market go visit them either. Awful, awful awful experience. more
