We Loved Emily and we LOVE our rings. My fiance proposed with his grandmother's wedding ring and I also had my grandmother's wedding ring. So, we wanted to design a new engagement ring using the stones from the other two. Emily was fantastic. We brainstormed together and eventually came up with the PERFECT ring. We used all the stones from the first two and GLJW even cut the setting out of my grandmother's ring and put it in the new one. I get comments on my ring constantly. Even better, it's a symbol of both of our families that also reflects my style. And, I know we couldn't have done it without Emily. We never felt pressured to make decisions or to go with an idea she had. In the end, we bought both wedding bands and the engagement ring from GLJW. I have had my ring over a week now, and I love it. The process was pretty smooth once I got an idea of what I wanted. I went in twice just to look, and I didn't quite connect with either of the two jewelers who helped me. They were both polite and professional, but disinterested. I can see why folks would find that off-putting, especially since this is a huge purchase for most of us. I left this store in tears after encountering two rude customer service/sales individuals. The rude treatment of your staff toward me and the fact that because I am only interested in Men's wedding bands at this time made me feel as if they do not appreciate any business other then wedding or engagement rings. My husband and I collaborated with Melissa to make my wedding band and we couldn't be more pleased with the results! The experience was wonderful, she was attentive and adjusted the design as we worked through what we were looking for, and willing to pay. We really appreciated that she kept up the pricing as we made changes, so we could asses what we 'really' wanted and what could be adjusted for cost. She was thorough and followed-up with us and kept our timeline front and center throughout the process. The result is a GORGEOUS, personal and unique wedding band, that I get complimented on all the time. We HIGHLY recommend Green Lake, there's no place better!!! the ""salespeople"" here are all jewelry designers and good ones. They aren't out to push their items as much as to help you find what you need. I've had two rings, a set of earrings, and a necklace done here (not all at once), and for each one, I felt like the staff took time to find out what I really wanted. I was trying to replace my engagement ring and sat with a salesperson for an hour while he drew what I wanted. But it took a week to get a call saying they couldn't find any oval diamonds for 3 more weeks. Then, I went in to size an opal ring, telling the salesperson I wanted to wear it more often. She then told me the prongs needed replacement. Then, a week later I get a call saying that they could size the ring but that the jeweler looked at it and the stones are cracked and will probably fall out if he tried to replace the prongs. She said opals are soft gems and shouldn't be worn everyday. Good information but I could have used it during my visit there and not wasted my time. I was recommended to visit Green Lake Jewelry and was totally frustrated with the way they do business. All of the rings that are on display are of such small size that will fit noone. I didn't understand why it was that way until I realized that they want an extra charge of $ 85 to re-size the ring. Normally those kinds of services are offered as a courtesy at any other jeweler.
