I have had my ring over a week now, and I love it. The process was pretty smooth once I got an idea of what I wanted. I went in twice just to look, and I didn't quite connect with either of the two jewelers who helped me. They were both polite and professional, but disinterested. I can see why folks would find that off-putting, especially since this is a huge purchase for most of us.
Pros: Get exactly what you want (within your budget), NO sales pressure whatsoever
Cons: Easy to agree to budget-busters in the heat of the moment
