I have been going to Elle for over 6 years. I am very loyal. As a stay home mom with three kids, doing my hair hasn't always been a priority, but Elle has seriously changed my life! Not only has she taken the time to show me how to style my hair with a round brush, but she's taught me how to curl with my flat iron and has even given me tips on how to style my hair when I am going on a date night with my husband. I am a gal who always likes to change things up. Elle is so talented with her cutting and color skills, I have had everything from long layers to a short textured trendy pixie cut. My colors have ranged from the blondest blond to copper reds to the richest browns. I was wanting to do something new with my hair and I went and saw Emily. She suggested we try an Ombre and I'm so glad she did. I also have curly and am always battling a frizz she suggested a smoothing treatment and I love it, love it, love it. :) I will definitely be back. more

Elan thinks it's a great salon, but it is truly lacking in attention to detail across the board. Sure, they sell high-end product such as Kerastase (some of which can be bought at Target these days), but they are woefully behind the times! \r First of all, the change room(s) lack even the most basic functional items. Not a box of kleeenex, nor a big, fluffy brush to brush away tiny hairs left on the face after a haircut, nor a trash can. Similarly, there were hooks on the back of the door for clothes, but they really need some hangers. I'd say the change room was most austere and unwelcoming. \r Second of all, they are all hyped about just having started to offer balayage. This technique has been in use in better salons in major cities for over a decade, if not closer to15 years. Wake up Nashville - you need to be more in keeping with the times. \r Also - this salon really needs to step up to the plate and provide disposable protective covers for arms of eyeglasses. No need to have people wrapping foil around the arms of their glasses and looking like something out of the 1950s. Here's an option - Google ""eyeglasscleansleeve dot com. \r All in all, I'd say that Elan lacks much elan. more

I came in recently as a new client and did a consultation with Naresh. I was completely new to the salon and was hesitant at first. I had messed up my color at another salon, and just needed it fixed. I was greeted at the door by the nice guy at the desk (adam is fantastic and so sweet to work with me!), and he helped get me with Naresh to consult on how to fix my hair. We chatted briefly and I booked my appointment. I went in and Naresh totally saved my hair, fixed my color and I've seen him 2 other times since then. I love elan and the customer service is awesome. Always willing to get me in, and the new decor looks so cool. Can't wait to see what they do next! thank you Naresh! more

Nathan is simply amazing. He understands the bob hairstyle which can be really challenging with a particularly picky client (like me). He does a great job. Plus he is so nice I would love to take him with me. Have been going to see the same stylist for years, and when she went to Elan a few years ago I was upset because it was farther away. BUT... soooo worth the drive. I love ELAN. I moved her from the Midwest over a year ago and got several unremarkable haircuts from various ""amazing"" stylists around town. Then I was lucky enough to find Julie Holian at Elan. I got a spectacular cut from Julie. She is a true gem. Not only is she kind and very down-to-earth, but she took her time with me to make sure she understood what I wanted and then actually gave it to me. She even checked to see if she had a client immediately after me and when she did not, she spent additional time demonstrating how I could style my hair at home. Not once did she try to rush the process or make me feel like I was wasting her time. She is not at all pretentious, as seemed could be an issue with some of the other stylists, and gave me a wonderful cut that grew out beautifully. I specifically waited months to write this review so I could see how the cut would grow out as so many just start to look terrible after 6 weeks or so. Not my cut from Julie - it has held up for month after month. Do yourself a favor - don't wait another minute to book with Julie! more

As everyone knows it's very difficult to move to a new city and locate a new salon and stylist that is the right choice. Well that's what happened to me, but I found the best at Elan. My stylist Emily was young and that made me a little nervous at first. But boy is she talented! She took so much time to make sure she knew what I wanted and the end result was perfection. The color and cut were the best I've ever had. I then began to let her apply Extreme Lashes to my ""puny"" ones and the results are AMAZING. This lady can do it all and do it all beutifully. I recently went in after purchasing a promotional coupon from Social Living, and it was just the push I needed to make a change. I saw Naresh, and may I say it was awesome. He totally spent the time to understand where I was headed with the style I was trying to achieve, and was very patient with me when I asked all kinds of questions. The end result was EXACTLY what I wanted. My color was fabulous, and the style was right on. He even helped me buy the right products to achieve the style I wanted.. All in all, I give it a 10! I purchased a Groupon for the Brazilian Blowout Treatment and my appointment was with Mark. He was on time and very polite. He explained how the Brazilian Blowout worked, and what products to use to maintain it. The process took just under 2 hours, and I love my newly straight hair! Mark is great to talk to, and I look forward to having him do my next cut and highlights! Definitely check Mark out at Elan! more

Moved to Nashville several years ago and have not been able to find a great stylist that could fix my ever changing styles. Naresh asked me what I was looking for and what I liked and disliked; truly listened to what I love about my hair and what I needed fixed. He made recommendations and masterfully created great hair. My bangs were making me crazy and now they are fabulous. The entire staff at Elan was amazing from the person making my appointment to the those greeting me and checking me in and out.
