Denise has been doing my hair on and off for over 10 years. She does amazing highlights/color! My hair is naturally dark brown and I like honey/caramel color highlights and the color is always perfect. Denise is consistent and goes out of her way to make my salon experience a positive one! more

Peace with Denise 2/22/2012

Who has the best stylist ever?? This girl!!! Denise Shadwick is my hair's BFF! I have known Denise for some years now and have been a faithful follower-- whether in Nashville or out of town. As age has played cruel tricks on the natural blonde hair I was born with, the excellent hi lighting skills of Denise have me looking natural and feeling great about my hair! She is always consistent and many people do not even know I have color on my hair or they compliment me on the hi lights! More than her ""mane"" work as a stylist, Denise knows if I need girl talk or just some nice quiet time. She is amazing! more

Fabulous! 2/22/2012

I've been going to Elan for about 5 years now and have always walked away with a great cut that got me weeks of compliments from friends and co-workers. Scheduling is easy, everyone who works at the salon is friendly and they truly go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Denise has been fabulous, has always listened carefully to what I'm looking for, and has been great to work with. I even sent my mom to see Denise because I had absolute faith that she would take good care of her! I highly recommend this salon to anyone in the Nashville area! more

Denise 2/22/2012

I have been going to Denise for many years and have never been disappointed. I am very particular about my color. I like to change it up a lot but I always want it to look natural, and Denise is the best at doing just that. I've even had scary color experiences at other salons when I was away at school, and when I came home, Denise brought it right back to normal. I wish all stylists were as reliable as her. more

Emily Rasmussen is the best stylist in town 2/21/2012

I had a terrible experience recently with one of the major haircut chains (I won't mention which one). What can I say? I was in a hurry. Rather than walk around with noticeable unevenness and jaggedness in my hair, I went to have it fixed by a more reputable stylist. Emily Rasmussen exceeded my expectations. Not only is she a friendly, conversational person, she's also a great stylist. Problem solved. I walked out yearning once for the salon experience once more. For a while, I tried getting away with a cheap haircut, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I'll definitely be back. Thanks, Emily. more

What a great experience with Hanna 2/21/2012

I began seeing Hanna through a personal recommendation of a coworker. I am so glad I did. She consistently provides me with an excellent experience, prompt attention, and honest feedback to my, sometimes drastic, requests. Without fail, everytime I get my hair cut, I receive a flood compliment from friends and family. I've been going to Denise at Elan on & off for about 7 years. The ""off"" periods are only because either she or I weren't living in Nashville. But she's back and Nashville has regained a terrific stylist. She has solid skills and just as important, she really listens to you. Listening is the first step to being able to deliver what a client wants. Denise can also provide great treatment & product recommendations. So pick her brain while you're there, so your hair will look like you just came from the salon in between visits. more

I was referred to Denise by my sister who has been going to Denise religiously for the last 10 years. I figured I would give her a try as my stylist that I had been seeing was retiring. I have thick unruly hair and Denise has been able to tame what I like to call ""the beast"". She has recommended smoothing treatments that have made all of the difference in the world. I love our chats and look forward to coming in to see the one person that I can count on to make me feel beautiful. more

I have been seeing Denise for as long as I can remember. She is not only professional, but knowledgeable as well. I always get so many compliments on how natural my blonde hair looks. Elle & Em (The Fantastic Duo) 2/20/2012

I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for Elle at the Elan Hair Salon! What a fantastic job she did on such a short notice. She had to take my hair from BLACK back to my natural color of BROWN!!! And, wow! She did phenomenal. I positively and most absolutely recommend her! After the hair color was achieved, I was treated to the most AWESOME haircut I've ever had by little miss Em! She did an amazing job and what a joy she is to keep you entertained while she works. They are the fantastic duo and both great at what they do. ELLE & EM, sounds like a 1970's TV series! LOL! Love both these girls! more

Two words: ELLE ANDERSON. 2/20/2012

When my hair stylist moved to Seattle, I was devastated. It had taken me many years and many bad experiences to find him and the thought of going through that again to find someone new was enough to make me shave my head on the spot. Enter Elle. When I saw a friend of mine in the music industry at a concert in 2009, I mentioned that my stylist had moved to Seattle. My friend told me about Elle at Elan in Green Hills. I was a bit hesitant but my friends always had great hair and I figured I had nothing to lose, so I made an appointment. Am I glad I was at that concert that night. Elle is not only amazingly talented, she is a really awesome person who genuinely cares about how her clients look and feel. She knows her stuff and is the ""it girl"" of stylists in Nashville as far as I'm concerned. Five stars all the way! more

Elle Anderson - highly recommended! 2/20/2012

I have thick wavy blonde hair and Elle is one of the only stylists who gives me the best cut and color every time. I have gone to salons all over Nashville (and have had my hair butchered by several!) but ever since I found Elle a few years ago I'll never look elsewhere again! She is current on all trends and products and gives the best color EVER. She is wonderful!! Highly highly recommend!! more

I have really thick, unruly hair, and Elle was the first stylist in years that was able to give me the short, edgy but still feminine cut I was going for. She's a cali girl at heart and is up on all of the latest trends. I won't go to anyone else. HIGHLY recommend her! more
