I met Denise years ago and she has always been a true expert stylist! She really knows her colors and about the overall health of your hair. She greatly helped me after losing hair from stress. And her blonde....BEAUTIFUL! more

I noticed how fabulous a friend's hair was and asked her who see saw. She said she had been going to see Denise Shadwick at Elan's for years. I had my first visit with Denise soon after. She was to bring my hair style in the 2000's and keep my color looking fabulous. I highly recommend her! more

Thanks for keeping me looking sooooo good :) Seriously, I will not let anyone else touch my head again - made the mistake of trying a new stylist last year after I moved and ended up with one big mess. Finally after getting back to Denise she has me back in love with my do again. FABULOUS IS ELAN & MISS DENISE! Definitely 5 Stars!!! more

Remember that name when you call to make an appointment at ELAN! Denise listens to what you want and makes it happen better than any other hair stylist I've been to! I just moved to Nashville about 6 months ago and am so thankful to have met Denise. She is someone I completely trust with my hair, she gives her professional advice and somehow manages to make my hair look better than I could even imagine! On top of it all, she is an AMAZING person! more

Denise at Elan is by far the most talented stylist I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. She was referred to me by a good friend and I must say I now understand why he was so insistent on me meeting Denise. For years now I have been able to arrive at my scheduled appointment time and walk out a short time later a much more stylish and happy man. Kudos to you Ms. Shadwick for keeping up with all the latest hairstyles and techniques to keep Nashville looking good. I appreciate you and your talent with those shears. more

After years of stylist hopping, I finally found Emily R a few years ago. She's always given me a great cut whether I want to keep with my natural curl or go straight and always gives me fantastic color. She listens to what I want done and offers suggestions for how my desired style will work best for me. She's fun and easy to talk to. You should definitely book an appointment with her today. more

If you are looking for top level treatment, look no further than Elle at Elan. I moved to Nashville four years ago and since my first cut with Elle, no one else has cut my hair, and the same is true for my beautiful wife. Elle is knowledgeable in terms of current styles and products, is fun to be around, and takes your input seriously. As a member of the Nashville Symphony, I am on stage in front of large audiences regularly and often appear in the symphony's video and print publications, so I need somebody I can trust with my hair. I promise Elle will not let you down! more

Elle at Elan!! 2/27/2012

When I moved to Nashville I struggled with finding someone I trusted to do my hair since I had been going to the same person my whole life and had found my hair was a little difficult to work with! I have long, really thick, coarse hair, and had found that most people had troubles when highlighting and definitely with cutting to make it look natural and healthy. After my first appointment with Elle I just simply fell in love with her ability to not just do my hair, but she helped to make my hair and bring it to life. I went in hopes of finding someone who could highlight my hair without damaging and leaving with it looking as natural as possible. She exceeded those expectations and also perfected the cut I had always wanted. I have recommended her to multiple friends, who have all loved her as well, and I highly recommend checking her out. Not to mention, she's personable and fun and it's never boring sitting in her chair! more

Denise S. has cut/colored my hair for years. I love the salon space & that the other stylists are so friendly. It is in the heart of Green Hills, very easy to get in and out and tons of parking below. Denise is a pro, beginning to end. Her chair will be the one I will always be in. more

Until I met Denize, I was the biggest hair whore in Nashville. I went to everyone, searching for the perfect blonde and the perfect cut. She is THE only person I will go to from now on. She's amazing. She gets my hair very blonde, but somehow manages for it to still look natural. She's amazing! more

Elle is probably the most TALENTED hair stylist that I have ever met. I have gone to her for about 5 years now, since freshman year of college. Every time I received a cut from her, I felt like she created a genuine, new work of ART. Not to mention, she is one of the best PEOPLE that I have ever met as well! SUPER friendly and accommodating, it's no wonder why she is so successful at what she does! I would recommend her to ABSOLUTELY ANYBODY, and I feel so blessed to know her!!! ELLE ROCKS. more

Let's put this simply. If you want someone who cares just as much about their craft as you care about your hair, go see Emily at Elan. I'm the sort of person that cares about the quality of my surroundings; I always choose quality over convenience. If this resonates with you, Emily is the stylist you should request. She doesn't rush; her attention to detail is acute. My only wish is that my hair could always be as fantastic as it is when I leave Emily's care. more

Denise Rocks My Hair 2/23/2012

Saying Denise is amazing at what she does is a huge understatement. My hair is shiney and healthy thanks to her. She does flawless highlights! After seeing Denise I walk out of the salon with more confidence then I came in with. I work and go to school full tme, and I also have a 3yr old, so I value my ""me"" time. I love being able to sit and chat with Denise. She's not just my hairstylest, she's a friend. I would highly recommend Denise and Elan. more

Great Hair Lady 2/23/2012

I have always been very nervous in the hair salon. I have bright red hair and my experience is that not many stylists have a lot of knowledge when it comes to servicing my hair type. Emily R. listened to my concerns and was able to make me feel at ease. From the sensual shampoo to the final touch, I knew that Emily cared about every course follicle on my head. I felt no pressure during the appointment because we could just talk, or not talk. I put my trust in Emily and the end result was explosive. I have more confidence now and I will definitely return again and again. more
