DECOR IS GREAT, BUT THAT IS IT!! 3/21/2006

This place started with a lot of potential and has sinced flopped!! I have tried everything with them from facials to hair cuts hoping to find something great. A very expensive cut & color that had disappointing results. I made an appointment for a European Facial and there was miscommunication and the girl waxed my face!! The front desk staff are rude and snobby when it comes to getting a problem fixed! My pedicure was cancelled because the worker quit and no one called to tell me! I had to ask for some kind of compensation because they didn't offer. I received a complimentary pedicure and it ended up being horrible. Beautiful decor, but not worth the time and money. They should spend less time on the decor and work on hiring mature and respectful professionals. There are better salons out there you just have to look. Ignore the idiots slandering this place, it's AWESOME!! Sure the lines may be long and the product-pushing mildly obnoxious(it's a sales-oriented business!), but there's no other place that can compare! The staff continually excceeds all expectations, and continues to be at the forefront of their game! They take care of your every need from the minute you enter until you leave. They'll even offer to book future appointments so you don't have to worry about trying to get in for one. Sure the product-pushing can be uncomfortable, but no where else carries Bb or Kerastase(because they're the best and will not let any place but the best carry their lines). At times it may feel a little hectic, but with the extreme demand that Dolce is in, they handle it very well and always make sure you leave happy!! As they say, enjoy the sweet life at Dolce!! Very Disappointed 1/25/2006

This salon is very much like an assembly line. They charge top prices and they are doing several other peoples' hair at the same time, then they have the assistants finish the style so they can get practice! At these prices I really don't feel comfortable with someone practicing on my hair. They have very high pressure to buy products and high priced unnecessary treatments and if you say no thank-you their attitudes change toward you. The stylists are inconsistent from one visit to the next and charge much more than the quoted price. A most unpleasant experience, not recommended. I am not sure why this place is popular. It is way overpriced for the services. The staff has the worse attitudes if you don't buy the overpriced add ons. I got a disgusted sigh and the smile was gone when I politely said no thank you. I also had to wait over 15 minutes in a line to pay when it was time to leave. The color and cut were not great. I don't mind paying for a good cut and color but the quality isn't there. Look beyond the atmosphere and the services just aren't good. It's Okay 1/13/2006

Would not reccommend haircut there, especially if you have curly hair. I was told I was getting an expert stylist that specializes in curly hair...HA! They barely even cut my hair. I also went for a pregnancy massage. It was alright, nothing special. more

Expensive, but did not deliver 1/13/2006

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Bad value. It cost me about $270 and for what? I noticed no difference and I didn't even get the water that they offered. Seriously, this salon is not worth the high prices that they charge! Very young staff which I do not believe has the experiece level needed to charge what they do. I could go to Fantastic Sam's and get a better cut and color at a lot less cost. I believe that I basically paid about $150 just for the atmosphere. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Price, Quality more

Overrated 1/1/2006

There is the snob appeal at the front desk. And the annoying product push when you leave. They can't always tell time - I've walked out after waiting 40 minutes for an appointment. And now they want a credit card - they aren't a high class salon in New York or LA so that's a joke. I got an okay style here but I've heard there's a high turnover for stylists. I went to Dolce for a manicure and I have to say, Jennifer was FANTASTIC! She was knowledgable and curtious. I had questions about the salon and she gave be background information and even a tour of the salon!!! My manicure lasted over a week!!! When we approached the front desk, there was no pressure to purchase product. She just showed me what she recommended, asked if I had questions and wished me well. I purchased anyway, even though I could get the products at cost!!! (i'm a hair stylist) Even the other staff was kind and said hello. Great Massage!! 7/6/2005

I recieved a gift card for a 90 minute massage at Dolce. It was the best 90 minutes of my life. The therapist was very skilled. I had no problem making an appointment and did not have to wait in any lines. Although I did have an early morning appointment. I was extremely impressed with the decor, I felt like I was in New York or LA. While waiting I was given a warm neck wrap and water. After the massage, my therapist recommended some products for me to purchase in which I declined but I did not feel any pressure to buy. there are very few salons in the valley that have met my satisfaction, but dolce salon has truly exceded them. the salon itself is beautiful, the staff is educated and very helpful and they have a wide variety of services. they carry the best products and although they may be a little pricey to others, i however want the best for my skin and hair!! they are ALWAYS up to date on the latest fashions and every visit i have has been a wonderful experience! i will recommend dolce to everyone i know!! and the lines may be long, but that just lets me know people in the valley are taking notice to az best salon/spa. lot of hype 3/24/2005

The place looks great but the great decor doesn't extend to its services. I have had better pedicures at the drop by places and the leg waxing was totally done incorrectly. They push needless products (EXACT SAME products much cheaper any place else). Long lines just to pay to leave and staff gets an attitude if you don't buy any product. I LOVE DOLCE!!! I think they get better and better and understand their huge success. I appriciate the reminders to book and information about their events etc. I know the product is expensive but thats because it is the highest quality around (great names) and the people always explain to me how and why to use it, I LIKE THAT. They do have lines alot, but I guess thats because people like it...that looks good to me, so does PF Changs. I only ever had 1 issue and it was beyond resolved to my satisfaction. Incredible Bridal Services 1/30/2005

I am getting married in 6 months and ws on the search for a all in one day spa that could accomodate not only me but all 8 of my bridesmaids as well. I found this spa and it was all that I had hoped for. I came in and set up a personal meeting with their Bridal Coordinator and she took care of everything. She not only set up all of my appoinments that my party needed but set out a schedule for me party as well. I can not wait for the start of all our services. I was thouroughly impressed with not only the bridal services but the complete atmosphere of the spa. I would highly recommend this beautiful day spa to anyone who needs bridal services. Annoying 1/26/2005

I'm annoyed with the product returns policy -- Very restrictive -- and the problem resolution proceedure -- none. The attitude seems to be if you don't like it, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Beware before you buy products this is not Nordy's. This spa sends postcards prompting you to make your next appointment. I consider this junk mail. The services I've tried were overall very good. I found a hair colorist who is excellent, but have yet to find a manicurist whose work I like.
