Following a minor accident, my car was dropped off by my insurance company to be repaired. Aspen performed an estimate and it was submitted to the adjuster where upon my insurance company issued Aspen payment. I was contacted by Aspen and informed that the payment was received. After that, I received no further communications. at the 3 week mark after when I initially dropped off the car, I called in to check the status, and the clerk was unable to find anything on my car. At this time, I contacted my insurance, and set them to work on figuring out what had happened. I was contacted back by my insurance and told that no work had been performed on my car, and that I needed to call Aspen myself for a complete explanation. At that time I called back and was told that the reason my car had not been worked on was because no one had told them what they were suppose to do. I don't understand; they performed the quote, told my insurance the cost of repairs, were issued payment, and they don't know what to do? I was never called, I was never contacted, complete break down in communication. At the 3 week mark my rental car was going to be revoked and I was in danger of ending up with no transportation of any kind. All I received were excuses and the assertion that it was not their fault the work wasn't done. It was my mistake to bring the car to a repair facility that was not in my insurance company's network, a mistake that I will not make again. I had my car moved from Aspen to a preferred repair facility used by my insurance.
