We had to take out Lab Chief because he ate something he shouldn't have. Dr. Streck was very direct on what we needed to do and he saved Chief's life. He had surgery the next day and he will be better than ever. Someone from the office called to see how he was doing and you don't get that everywhere especially when you get the surgery done at another doctor's office. Again thanks to everyone at After Hours. more

I needed to get two of my dogs their rabies shots. I called and I was told I could come in right then and I did not need an appointment. It was about 9pm. After my husband got off work, we went around 11 or 12. The process was easy, fast, and simple. They got both dogs done in a short time. It is nice to know that they are open late. I would go here again. more

They treat your per as if she were their own. After a horrible experience at Happy Tails - I found After Hours Vet and they are amazing! They are kind, compassionate and explain everything in extreme detail. If you have a pet emergency - this is the place to come in Greensboro! more

Mediocre at best, but if its an emergency and you can't make it to Carolina Veterinary Specialists, you might be ok. more

I had to take my doberman pincher in because he nearly cut one of his foot pads off on a piece of glass. I didn't have all of the money on my credit card to pay for it and they used my dad's, who was out of state. You don't find many who will do that over the phone. They take a risk losing money or being sued. The treated our dog with great care. I don't know why there was a bad review. Might not be the same business. I feel for that person, but our experience was great and would use them again if I needed an after hours vet. more

I have nothing by WONDERFUL things to say about the doctors, techs, and other staff of this clinic. They were all caring, knowledgeable, and competent. Our dog Floyd had to be taken in by the pet sitter when we were on vacation, and the staff made sure to keep us in the loop even through we were far away. Floyd ended up having emergency surgery by Dr. Gil. She was so thorough and took the time to answer all my questions post-op. The rest of the staff is TOP NOTCH as well. We love our dog, and it is clear that they love all the pets that come through their doors as well. Thank you Dr. Gil, Brett, and the rest of the team at After Hours!!! more

Very kind and caring vet clinic. My dog had been having issues with having frequent stomach problems, and my vet could not figure out why. It got really bad over one weekend, and I had to take her in to the After Hours Vet Clinic. The doctors there finally figured out why my dog had been so sick,and started me on a treatment plan which my vet has continued. It's been almost a month since my dog had a bout of diarrhea or anything. I am so greatful to the doctors and staff at the After Hours Vet. \r \r Also, I did not think they were more expensive than my vet, and I got all of the test results the day I brough her in. I usualy have to wait a day or two at my regular vet. I was very impressed with how they handled everything!! more

Even one star is too many for this place! I am so angry - I had to have my 15 year old dog, who was a member of our family put to sleep here. I was going to make the arrangements with the crematory myself but they said they would handle it and someone would pick her up the next morning or afternoon at the latest. I called the next evening to be sure that she had been picked up and they said not yet but ""I wouldn't worry too much about that, they will be here tonight or in the morning at the latest"" first of all - of course I am worried about it, this is my beloved pet!!! The next day I called the crematory since the clinic is only open from 6PM - 8AM. This is when I find out that After Hours Vet Clinic has NOT EVEN CALLED THE CREMATORY!!! My poor dog has been there over 36 HOURS and they have not even bothered to call!!! I am completely LIVID with this place. This is no way to treat who we consider to be a member of our family, a dog we have loved for 15 years!! Of course I can not get in touch with anyone there during the day but you can believe I will be calling them at 6PM on the dot today! PLEASE give our animals some respect! I agree with the other poster - it is all about the money for them. All this heartache and I had to pay over $800 for my pet to be treated this way. I was traveling out west when my 12 y/o english bulldog became ill while in my mother's care. She promptly took her to the After Hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic where she was met by a caring and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Chappell contacted me in Colorado to advise me of her condition. Being a healthcare provider myself, I had many questions. He patiently answered each and every question, and listened intently as I expressed my wishes regarding her care. The following day, she was transferred to a cardiologist at NCSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Unfortunately, her heart was beyond repair. Dr. Chappell, and Dr. Lantis (NCSU) both contacted me personally to express their condolences. The care that she received was beyond my greatest expectations. If placed in such a position again, my pets will definitely be returning to After Hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic more
