Overly priced semi-diagnosis of a water issue 1/19/2015

Had water leaking from downstairs ceiling when upstairs shower was being used. Although the service date was in May of 2014, I just found the card that said they are interested in feedback, so...I had assumed that it could be a plumbing leak. The technician turned the shower on and looked downstairs and there was no leak and all the fittings seemed fine. He could not figure out why we had a leak. I pointed the shower head towards the tile wall in the shower and the water came through downstairs. He said that they cannot help with that tile. The Bill was $514.67. So, he couldn't even figure out to point the shower nozzle in all directions and the bill was absurd. more

VERY disappointed long time customer... 1/9/2015

We have been Weltman customers for 25 years. Recently when asked to evaluate a persisting toilet leak not fixed by multiple flapper replacements Weltman's technician Jason W. told us the ENTIRE TOILET needed to be replaced at an estimated cost of $1.300! My investigation online suggested only the flush valve needed replacing which, along with also replacing the fill valve, I did myself with parts costing <$30. The leak is fixed and I'm wondering now how many other times we've been overcharged despite our long time loyalty... more

Steven G. has serviced my equipment before and he was again very helpful last week when I had no heat. He is friendly, polite, very knowledgeable and efficient. He ran various tests and went to pick up a new motor came right back and completed the job and I had heat. 5 stars for Steven more

Care of heat pump problems 12/6/2014

Excellent Service from Bryan B. & Peter Bruton 8/6/2014

Bryan handled my urgent call on Friday, August 1, 2014, with calm courtesy, and scheduled an appointment for me on the following Monday, August 4, for a non-emergency call. Bryan was not only polite and responsive, but helpful and effective. Peter Bruton arrived as scheduled on Monday morning. I had braced myself for the worst: a recommendation that we would need to replace our air conditioning unit completely. Instead, Mr. Bruton diagnosed a fried condenser motor, and recommended replacement and maintenance at about 1/5th of the cost of replacing the entire unit. I was pleased that Mr. Bruton was candid, honorable. Mr. Bruton was kind, courteous, and effective. Both Bryan B and Peter Bruton are a credit to Weltman Home Services. Brian in New Providence more

Dripping faucet 7/23/2014

Jason came to fix a faucet problem, but because he was not able to correct the problem during this service visit, he did not charge me, which I thought was commendable - especially on a Sunday. He will be back as soon as my new faucet is delivered. more

Drain Blockage 5/20/2013

Jason performed the work in a very professional and logical manner. He was neat, courteous and accommodating.He allowed me to watch every step and explained what and why he was doing each task. He was very neat and left our house in the same condition when he arrived.I do not believe I could have had anyone do a better job than Jason. I do not give complements easily, and I would tell you if I am disappointed with any service. Thanks Jason, I know you earned your salary working here today!!!! more

Great plumbing service by amazing tech!! 2/20/2013

I had a backed up tub and it started to leak water under the toilet. The first plumber I called removed the toilet and tried to open the line. After a couple of attempts his snake got stuck. He then used a camera which couldn't see pass a point under the cement garage floor, going into the house. His diagnosis was a collapsed pipe & it would've cost me at least 10k to dig & replace the broken pipe & fix it back. We called weltman as a 2nd opinion. They sent someone within a couple of hours of placing the request. Jason, the technician was incredible. He spent over 3 hrs working and performed well beyond and above the call of duty. He kept at it until, first we discovered the pipes were not broken, and after, he kept at it until they were all cleaned. It was amazing! We're so thankful to him! Considering what the other plumber charged us for less time & no results, it came at a great price. more
