We Clean America

Ok these people are a joke. Just check them out on the Better Business Bureau's website. Their rating is F and they have 16 complaints in the last 3 years with 2 complaints closed in the last 1 year. I think that is enough for anyone to make a decision if they want to work with this company. Completely incompetent, horrible service and horrible customer service. If there was negative rating that is what I would give them. They do not even deserve 1 star. I hired the company and they made me prepay and sign a contract before the ladies started cleaning. They did not clean anything at all and after 2 hours of pretend work they left and the house was still dirty and they broke a cup and hid it in the dishwasher. When I called to complain the representatives were extremely rude and did not want to do anything about it. Please do not waste your time with this company. Not sure if its a real company at all. They might be running it out of someone's backyard. more

My housekeeper disappeared about a month ago with no notice and hasn't answered her phone so in desperation I called We Clean America because I had received a coupon in the mail. I called them on Friday and arranged to have 2 cleaners come on Monday. They came today and although they were half an hour late, it didn't upset my day. I showed them as they were cleaning what I wanted done and they agreed in a way as if I was crazy to think I needed to tell them this. They did a great job. My house was pretty dirty and very dusty. There was 2 ladies, one English speaking, the other barely spoke so I think she may not have spoke English. The supervisor came by and gave the place the white glove test and asked me about things they did or didn't do. She said they are supposed to clean 3 windows. I knew they cleaned the slider and she said that is two windows. I told her I didn't notice if they cleaned any other windows. She asked if they cleaned the refrigerator and I looked and said no so she told them to do that. They spoke in Spanish and relayed to her that they had been there 2.5 hours. She relayed to me that they are supposed to be there 2 hours or 2.25 hours so they needed to go soon. I told her I would rather have the fridge cleaned rather than the 3rd bath that we never use so they cleaned the fridge. The cleaner told me she had already cleaned that bathroom except for the shower. I was very pleased with their work and requested the same crew for next time. I hope I stay as happy with them as I was today. more

Terrible agency, they don't screen or train their employees (to be exact - independent contractors) and are not responsible for their actions. So all damages and theft - not their responsibility. Might as well get someone from a street to clean your house and carry out stuff with no consequences.. Manager Francisco is extremely rude and unprofessional - stay away from this company! I am surprised they are still in business.. more

The couple that came was polite and understood English well. I had two areas of concern, and they addressed them perfectly. Items were moved and cleaned around. The only items not removed were the range guards on the stove, and I will simply inform them of this next time and it will be done. more

I recently used We Clean America as a last resort...I contemplated due to all the bad reviews. But to my surprise, they werent bad at all. I was having a last minute get together and had no time to clean my home. To my surprise they were available on Sunday! Yes Sunday!! Wow! The person who took my call took a while to call me back. But apparently she was working by herself...but I was so happy to see that she can squeeze me in, in such short notice. I was skeptical but happy I called. Even though they spoke very little English they did a great job. I'm so glad I called. Contrary to all the postings they have a for sure customer. Thanks We Clean America. I will for sure recommend to everyone!! more

We've used We Clean America for several months now. The first time two ladies came and did a terrific job. We were elated. The next time a different two ladies came. The one was rather surly when I tried to tell her what I wanted done, and they did a decidedly marginal job. So, I complained to the manager..citing very specifically what I expected and what I would not tolerate. Since then we've had the same couple who do a really superb !!! job. We are very pleased and very satisfied. My take on this is that you've got to communicate with the manager when you're not happy by being specific. They can only correct a problem if they know about it. more

I have been using We Clean America since March/2001 and have found the service to be great. I use them twice a month and find that there rates are the most competitive and they always can have a crew to my house within 24 hours with any special request. And there is nothing like having your laundry done and waiting for you all folded when you get home from work! Yes I have had issues over the years with things not done to my satisfaction that gets my head scratching but there customer service has always taking care of it - at no additional cost. Being a regular customer also probably helps as I usually get the same cleaning crew. more

I have used this company to clean my home office for a few years and had several different crews arrive. As can be expected (for $70), the quality of the service is completely dependent on the crew. However, I have found a crew of 4 people that do excellent service. Yes, I will occasionally find an area that was missed...but I will more often be surprised to find they cleaned/tidied up areas I wouldn't have even thought of...this group is very professional and friendly and I highly recommend them. more

You will get what you are paying for . I was so anxious to order a service after reading all the reviews . Apparently they came ontime and did a good job!! I got a $10 off as promised on their website . I do understand what we can expect for $ 60 service, and they exceeded my expectation. Its all depend on how you approach . I personally had to be there and provide guidance on each and every items to be cleaned . If you give the keys and assume they will do the job , you are at risk of a bad service . A family constis of mother and two children came to our house and obviousely the mother had some leadership qualities and controled the others well. Her name is Laurena and I would recomend them for any of you to try. more

This cleaning service was terrible. They didn't clean anything they said they would clean. They spent an hour cleaning the inside of my oven (as if I care what the inside of my oven looks like!) and then didn't dust or clean the floors. Cons: Everythingelse more

Simply Put: They don't do a good job. We used We Clean America 4-5 years ago but stopped using them due to unreliability, but stupidly decided to give them another try. The first two times they cleaned our house they did an OK job...the rooms of our house were clean but nothing to write home about. The third visit however was another matter altogether. They charged us $130 (we do have a pretty large house) for 3 hours, and at the end of that time, I got a call from one of the managers telling me they weren't finished and needed an additional hour (which would cost another $48!). So $178 to clean our home. I said no, and came home to a house that was pretty dirty. They cleaned our upstairs bedrooms first (which weren't so messy) but left the downstairs (which everyone sees first when they walk into out house) including the kitchen - which is our messiest, most used room - dirty - stovetop and kitchen counters not even touched! Pathetic, if you ask me. Based on the other horrible reviews here and my own bad experience, I won't use this service again. I would urge anyone in their right mind to take my advice and NOT use this very substandard company. They're lazy and the management couldn't care less. more

I have used We Clean America on and off for a few years. Last week they came out to visit the house and when they were gone things were missing. I called the office to complain and the manager was rude and I said 'I would like to make a claim' he said you just did. I said are you bonded he said no. Now I have to replace the things taken. I used this business for the first time(and last time) and they showed up late and didn't even call. Two cleaning men showed up and didn't even clean the bathroom floors or shower, they didn't clean the kitchen counters or sink or stove or oven, they didn't clean the dining room table or coffee table or any windows, and that's just to name a few. I made an appointment with them earlier in the week for today between 1 & 2pm. At 1pm I got a call saying they were outside. I live in an apartment building so I go down to let them in and no one is there. I call the company and they say they will find out what is happening. They hang up on me. 20 minutes later a knock on my door. 2 women laughing because they've been waiting at the wrong apartment for 20 minutes because they didn't look at the apartment # on the sheet. Then they clean and 30 minutes later one of the women asks me if I have a vacuum cleaner because she couldn't carry hers up from the car--it's too heavy for her. Never mind that it says they bring all cleaning supplies and equipment. So I ask her if I am paying her or if she is paying me to do the job. So she gets the vacuum cleaner and I check the cleaning job. The hardwood floors are still dirty and I show them the dirt and hair on the paper towel I used. They are complaining about me in Spanish, not knowing I understand it. So I tell them I can understand them and I would appreciate it if they wouldn't talk about me behind my back. Then one of them starts crying and calls the office to complain. She makes me sound like a tyrant, just because I wanted my apartment cleaned. So I call the service to explain what is going on and am told I am crazy and have been yelling and screaming at the women (not true) and they will never work for me again. Do not use them unless you expect a half-assed job and an accusation of harassment if you find dirt and ask them politely to do the job they were paid to do. Pros: they came? Only hire this company if you want to pay $90 for someone to do nothing for a couple of hours. They require you to pay up front (which should have tipped me off) then they don't do anything. Their coupon says ""Satisfaction Guaranteed"" but they do not. When I called to complain, the manager told me that he would send another crew and ""don't worry, I'll take care of you. we don't want you to unhappy"". When I called him back to set up a time for the other crew to come he said ""we can't give you another cleaning for free"". Now remember, I already paid them $90 and NOTHING was done yet. Now they say that this other crew will only come for an hour and do ""what the first crew hadn't finished"". I said, ""the first crew didn't do ANYTHING. And I didn't pay $90 for one hour, I paid $90 for , in your words, a deep cleaning. It will take someone one hour just to clean the bathroom, and I didn't agree to $90 an hour, I agreed to $90 for two people to clean for 3 hours each, big difference. Now that I have seen how bad they are, I wish that I had read all these reviews before hiring them. I only make $15 an hour myself, and would have cleaned the place myself except that I am 8 months pregnant and not allowed to use cleaning products. It takes ME 6 hours to make $90, and they promised me one thing, and delivered NOTHING. My $90 is gone (a whole days pay) and I got nothing in return. Don't hire these people unless you feel like giving away money. And if you feel like giving away money, give it to a charity and not to this rude company. They speak terribly to their customers. We Clean America is reason enough to create - star ratings because one star is too good for them. I have been a customer for many years, overlooked MANY MANY mistakes and poor customer service, but then I had the displeasure of speaking with the so called owner Michael who makes his rude and incompetent employees look like Albert Einstein and Mother Theresa. They raised their prices and NEVER told me so then when they called to tell me I owed them money and I tried to tell him I didn't know about the rate increase, he told me that was just confusion on my part. When I asked for something in writing about the rate increase, when it went into effect, how much I had paid, where my tip I THOUGHT was going to the crew had gone, etc., he told me that he could not get me anything in writing. He then told me all I had to do was pay what I owed the next time because he was sure after I calmed down I would still want to do business with him. When I pressed him for a detailed explanation or paperwork of exactly what I owed, when the increase went into effect and why wasn't I told, after interrupting me and not listening to me and telling me he was irritated with me for wasting 15 minutes of his time and he was not going to beg me to be his customer, he hung up on me. Everything all the other reviews say is true, and worse. I used the service weekly - they billed me randomly (sometimes 5 times a month, sometimes 3, sometimes 6, so it was always difficult to tell if they were overcharging me). Last week, my cleaning crew stole $180 from my wallet! The company told me that technically they weren't responsible for any losses or damages claimed by their clients since they're a ""referral"" agency - that the maids themselves were the ones responsible for any and all damages! Furthermore, they admitted that they didn't even know one member of the cleaning crew that stole from me - apparently he was someone the ""main team member"" had just brought in to help and he hadn't even been interviewed by the company! Since then, I've insisted that until the matter gets resolved, I won't let any of their crews into my house. Not only has no one called me back to very what's being done about the matter or how or when my stolen cash will be returned, but today I was told that they would still bill me for my next cleaning visit (which is tomorrow) since I didn't cancel within 24 hours, despite the fact that I've been leaving messages and trying to call for days! In the meantime, I've had to cancel the credit card they were billing to ensure they can't charge me anymore, and as for my $180? I'm guessing that check isn't gonna be in the mail anytime soon. Do yourself a favor, lose this company's number. more
