I had a similar experience to those giving the agency a negative review. I read up on the agency before submitting my resume, and for the most part, the reviews were positive, although some complained that the agency never got back to them. So I decided to be proactive approach and when I sent in my resume, I included a short email telling them about myself and that I would follow up them in a week. A week later, having heard nothing, I called and spoke with Jean. We chatted briefly, I told her I what I was looking for and she said "Great, email your resume to this other email address and we'll try to schedule you for early next week, and make sure to say we talked about meeting on Monday.? Then she said she would get back to me. I figured the ball was now in her court and it was up to her to contact me, as she had promised. She never got back to me and I never ended up meeting them. I understand that they are a busy company and they want to spend quality time with their clients and as a result some people get the short end of the stick. I guess what I would say is it's unfortunate that they don't have more staff to screen applicants...because there are some real gems out there that might not get noticed at first glance. Overall I'm not distraught over the situation because I went into it with my eyes open. I knew from the reviews that there was a probability of this happening and so I did not place all my hopes on this agency finding me a job. So that?s my advice, send your resume and just hope they call, and if they don?t, be persistent-the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Pros: people they have gotten back to seem to love them
Cons: Busy, don't always get back to you
