In town at the coliseum? Right across the street at Stamey's is the finest NC BBQ in Greensboro. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you might smell the smoke from the smoke house at the edge of the parking lot. Try the plate (BBQ, slaw and hush puppies) or a BBQ sandwich (comes with slaw.) This is NC style, pork BBQ with vinegar-based sauce. (The slaw is vinegar-based, too.) They also serve a mean chili-dog and a great brunswick stew. You may not know it, but you can order a whole smoked shoulder for parties.
