I moved to the area this past year and found Splash randomly, The service is great, everytime I am always greeted by a smile at the front door and offered a coffee.

Worst

I was very upset after spending $180 to get my hair colored and trimmed at Splash and having my hair turn out exactly how I didnt want it to.

What An Experience 6/6/2010

I did a lot of research on salons in Indy before deciding to give Splash a try. I had very long and dry hair that hadn't been cut in years. Needless to say I was very nervous about getting it cut. My stylists name is Kiem (pronounced Kim) and right away he made me feel welcome. When you walk into the salon you are offered a beverage and a seat on the couch next to a wall that has a waterfall. Kiem was right on time and gave me a free consultation on my hair. Kiem gave me a cut to shape my hair and a permanent curl. I have to say that I love the results and am very pleased. The only thing I didn't care for was the way the manager watches over the stylists. She really hovers and has a cold demeanor about her. But hey, not everything can be perfect! Kiem did a wonderful job and that is what is important. He really took his time on my hair and cared about the results. I would recommend Kiem to anyone. Pros: Very friendly and does wonderful work. Cons: Bit pricey and a manager contantly watches the stylists work more

Several weeks after having my first baby, I was feeling a little ho hum about my self image.. All the baby weight was gone, but I felt an itch for a new hair style as all I was doing was pulling it back in a ponytail. I had been going to another salon, but never left feeling like I got the hair cut was requesting. After much debate I decided to find a new salon. I got on the computer and after reading a ton of reviews I thought I would try Splash Hair Salon. It was the best thing I could have ever tried!! I called to get an appointment, I was able to get in without any problem, and I was asked a few simple questions about my hair type so that I would be matched with the right stylist for me.. I walked in for my appointment, was offered a cold beverage and was shown to the sitting area.. My stylist Sara Lamb came over and introduced herself and led me to her chair. I had brought in some pictures of a past hairstyle that no one has every been able to reproduce, and she felt confident that she could do it. I was so impressed and wowed from the moment Sara started to work on me. The shampoo chair was a massaging one and felt wonderful as did the scalp massage she gave! She took time to cut my hair and give me the style I wanted without rushing through it. She was open, very friendly and easy to talk to allowing me to relax! Going to the salon was the first ""outing"" for myself since having a baby and I felt completely pampered! I left the salon with the exact style I wanted, and felt refreshed at the same time! completely overpriced for mediocre work. went and had a haircut and color and wasn't too excited or pleased. i could have done the same job. i have blonde hair and wanted to go lighter i walked out with the same color almost. wasn't too wowed. more

Perfection 5/10/2010

I am new to the area and did a ton of research before I decided on Splash. I saw Kiem and he worked wonders on my hair! The color is amazing and I haven't had a cut this great since I left CA 10 years ago. I will never go to anyone but Kiem as long as I am in the area and I would highly recommend him for any coloring, highlights or cut!! more

best hair salon ever 5/8/2010

when i walked in the door i was greeted with friendly staff, i signed in and was offered a drink of my choice and a place to sit.. my hair appointment was with kiem voong and it took him no time at all to sit down and talk with me about my hair.. the best part about my consultation with him, is that he spoke the truth about what he would and would not recommened for my hair type.. he also through out options and ideas that would work well for me.. I loved that.. when i had my hair washed, it was amazing very relaxing. and for my hair cut... I LOVE IT... everything i wanted plus more. that man knows what he's doing... he is excellant... i highly recommened this salon to all people... Very awsome experience and i will continue going thier from (hair) on out... and you will too... Pros: i loved the enviroment and staff Cons: no cons more

I have stayed because not only is Jacquelyn the best colorist around, she gives individual attention and truly gets to know your personality and what styles will work for you. WOW! I always look forward to my next visit to Splash. A long time customer of over 10 years, I enjoy the relaxed, friendly environment and feel special when I walk out ! Great service, alot of pampering and experienced color/hair specialist are what you see when you walk into Splash. Hair specialists are always seen talking with their clients about what they want,,new styles/trends and what will look best on the client. Sara fixed my hair for me for free after another stylist didn't do it quite how I wanted it; she was very friendly and did a great job. I went back to her for a color and cut and was really pleased with the results! She's very knowledgeable about what would work for my hair, skin tone, etc, and made great suggestions. I am an avid Splash customer. My hair type - fine - is difficult to work with but Jacqueline, my splash consultant, has worked miracles with my hair type and color. She has the right products and is very helpful in letting me know the proper ways to use them. In fact the entire staff at Splash is so friendly and professional. The atmosphere is all about me, the customer, and how they can make my experience at Splash an unbelievable one. favorite hair salon 4/23/2010

When I first became a client of Jacqueline my hair was a disaster. Now when I leave I feel very sassy(thats what she calls me) I always get compliments on my color and style. She makes a 68 year old feel and look 55. I also appreciate Stephanie and her wonderful shampoos. Her reminder call is very helpful. Thanks for your love and special treatment. Kiem Vong - amazing!!! 4/20/2010

I had an appointment with Kiem for a cut. From the moment I sat in his chair, I felt like he was one of the few stylists that I have had that really listens to your wants and concerns. He genuinely wants to help you have the best hair you can. He is very thorough with his cut, tells you what he is doing and why. He just makes you feel at ease. Was all about giving me information on how to recreate the look at home or trying different styles with the new cut. Will definitely go back!! If you looking for a professional stylist that truly cares about you, then Kiem is your man!!! Pros: Great atmosphere, Cons: Only take cash for tips. more

Highly Recommend! 4/20/2010

I went to Splash because a friend had a referral coupon so I decided to check it out. I am a chronic salon hopper picking the salon on a whim the day I want to cut my hair, mostly because I've never had a salon or stylist that really impressed me. Elisha and Splash were completely different! Splash is a high-end salon but with a friendly down-to-earth staff. The consultation was a nice surprise. I'm use to stylists asking me what I want with one hand on the scissors already. But Elisha sat down and spent time really getting a full picture. It was a true collaboration of what I wanted with her available for ideas. She did not try to pressure me into anything I didn't want. I was so impressed with the cut that I came back the next week to have her do my color and pre-scheduled my next appointment (something I NEVER do!) Although you can find cheaper haircuts in the city, you can not find a better one! (And don't forget those complementary hand massages....wonderful!) I highly recommend Splash! more

Wonderful experience!! :) 4/16/2010

Okay, who really LIKES going to a new salon, where you don't know anyone? You have to make idle chit-chat with a stranger and PRAY they don't push product on you and make you feel like you have to buy their collection of shampoos, conditioners, 'milks', de-tanglers, shining serums, etc. Do you like this? I hate it. And..if you hate this as much as I do (and I'm a people person!)...I highly recommend Splash Salon. This place makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed! Service with a smile and not pushy at all! I've lived in Indy for over a year now. It's always hard finding a good salon when you move to a new city. Thanks to Google, I found Splash on CitySearch and read all the reviews. I setup an appointment over the phone and happened to receive Sarah as my stylist. :) She is so sweet and awesome! I provided a picture of the cut I wanted. We talked about it for a bit. She asked a lot of questions, to make sure she understood what I was looking for. She was so patient, and took her time with me. I never felt rushed, and she answered all of my questions about hair care, and I never felt pressure to buy anything. She made me WANT to buy product just bc she was so knowledgeable. We also made idle chit-chat, but I felt so comfortable :) In summary, if you're looking for a hair salon, go to Splash! Best Salon in Indy 4/15/2010

It was by chance that I first went to Splash about a year ago. I was visiting a friend on the Northeast side and needed my hair done, so after reading a couple reviews I called to see if I could get in. They worked me in that day. Going to Splash is the best decision I have made for hair, nails, and facials. It's also a nice bonus that if you have to wait, or if you just want to, you can wander the boutique - they always have a great selection. I see Sarah Lamb for my haircuts and colors, and I've never been happier with a stylist. I still remember the first day and being surprised when I was greeted as soon as I walked in. When I sat down to get started with my hair, Sarah sat and talked with me about what I wanted to do with my hair, and it was nice feeling as though she genuinely cared about my input as this was something that always seems to be missing from other salons I've been to - especially on the first visit. Everything about the visit was great, and the rest over the last year have been just as great. A few months ago, Jacqueline did extensions for me. I was so nervous about getting them and taking care of them, but she was very good about explaining everything about the process and also how to care for them at home. They look extremely natural, and I could not have been happier. If you're looking for nails or a facial, both are amazing there as well. I came in with bleach blonde hair...It looked okay but just okay..Jacklyn is so awesome, she did a colar corection and made me a natural blonde. I look ten years younger now and i am only 29...lol I can't wait to come in again... Pros: Everything... Cons: That I didn't find this place sooner more

I went here twice already for haircut and coloring, and I am going again soon!!! Kiem is one of the best hair color specialist that had ever worked on my hair !!! He thoroughly discussed with me what I want to obtain, made a few very helpful and important suggestions, and -- most amazingly -- in the end the color turned out to be exactly what he described! I really dont know if I can put into words how thankful I am for finding this Salon...I did so much research to find the right place. I am new in this area and where I came from NO ONE could cut hair, color hair and needless to say I had a mess! I am originally from California and moved to Nova Scotia Canada a few years back and I know what I needed and what I was missing...well, after my experience at Splash I will NOT go any where else. I know this may sound silly but I had tears of joy...from the first wonderful conversation just to set up the appointment to being greeted at the door, all the attention I was given and most of all the personal treatment and care I recieved from the owner herself is unmatched. do amazing jobs with hair! 3/10/2010

I went to Spalsh for the first time on March 6. I was following my stylists, Jade Johnson. She does an amazing job with hair and is very flexiable and does a really good job with cut and color. She's also awesome! At Splash everyone is very poliet and really want to give you a good experience! Plus tehir is a cool boutique connected to Splash!
