We had a great meal. Our car was broken into and we found out afterwards that Valet parking means public parking. Jeff the manager had no idea about their insurance. Insurance ...

GREAT PARTY SOLERA 1/1/2009

GREAT PARTY SOLERA!! So we got there early and sat at the bar got some food and got some great drinks from Keri and watched the line form out side. the host got us are wrist bands and we walked up to the party as soon as it started. The only part that sucked we all the super drunk chicks getting sick all over the place at the end of the night...\r \r THANK YOU SOLERA FOR A GREAT NYE!!!\r Pros: the drinks and staff are great Cons: the bar is to dark at night more

NYE Joke 1/1/2009

Have you ever wanted to experience a poorly planned, understaffed NYE party? Solera is your place. Lets begin with an hour wait outside for people who PREPAID. Once you finally get to the door your met by unwelcoming cranky bouncers. Alright, now its time to grab some drinks at the open bar and dance into the New Years right? WRONG. Another 45 min wait at a coat check followed by 30 mins+ to get a drink. Simply a joke. \r Pros: Great place for dinner Cons: Terrible NYE Part more

2009-Worst New Years EVER 12/31/2008

Solera's had by far the absolute worst New Year's party ever experienced. Not only did people have to wait outside for two plus hours to get in (even though they had previously purchased a ticket to get in) but you had to wait about that long to get a drink at the bar. What is even worse is because of their poor planning they opened the doors to everyone by the end of the night which meant that some people didn't even have to pay the $45-$100 to be there!!!!!! And on top of that their first floor didn't even announce when the New Year arrived so we all missed it.....I would like to Thank you Solera for the worst New Year I have ever had................. GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

NYE NIGHTMARE 12/31/2008

HORRIBLE PLANNING! I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, AND I DO NOT RECOMEND IT. AFTER PAYING $70 WE GOT TO WAIT OUTSIDE FOR OVER AN HOUR... THEN WHEN WE GOT IN THE DOOR (AFTER GETTING PAST THE RUDE BOUNCERS) WE COULDNT MOVE AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A DRINK. THERE WAS SO MANY PEOPLE THERE THAT DRINKS WERE BEING SPILLED EVERYWHERE INCLUDING ON PEOPLE. IT WAS VERY UNDERSTAFFED... ONLY 2 BARTENDERS ON THE FIRST FLOOR. WE HAD TO WAIT 20 MINUTES FOR 1 DRINK AND IT WAS MADE WRONG. THIS WAS THE WORST NYE EVER AND THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WILL MAKE SURE I LET OTHERS KNOW NOT TO GO THERE TOO! I WOULD HAVE RATHER SAT AT HOME WITH A $70 BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE AND I WOULD HAVE HAD MORE FUN... Pros: THE EXIT SIGN ON THE DOOR Cons: EVERYTHING!!! HORRIBLE PLANNING more

Excellent Selection 12/12/2008

Did you know that Solera can host weddings, special events and large group events. Their banquet hall is BEAUTIFUL - the whole restaurant is amazing! If your looking for someplace different give them a call! Pros: Knowledgable people more

WAY overrated, food was mediocre and overpriced... 10/22/2008

My wife and I went there to use a $60 gift card that we had. What an embarrassment, we ordered 6-7 different items and they were OK at best. The stuffed figs were cold and gross!! For the price they charge for their tapas you'd expect perfection. Oh, and we ended up having to fork over an additional $50 with only ordering 2 drinks. Absolutely terrible, we'll never go back. more

WORST HAPPY HOUR EXPERIENCE 8/7/2008

My co workers and I went to Solera because we have heard of their great roof top. We went there and had a fine time but when it came to the bill I have never had such a horrible experience. First, we ordered the Tapas for 2. The menu stated that it was $25 and our bill stated $29. When I asked our server about the discrepancy, she stated that it was an old menu and she did not change our bill. Then we asked if we could split up the bill between our 3 credit cards. She said it was no problem and when she came back, our individual tabs added up to much more than our original tab. When we asked for clarification she informed us that when splitting tabs between credit cards, there is an automatic 15% gratuity fee added. It STILL didn't add up right, so we asked to see the bill. Turns out there was another additional 7% charge to even use a credit card. So all in all, our credit cards were charged an extra 22% and there was no mention of it at all to us. We then asked if we could instead pay cash, or put it all on one credit card and the server refused saying she already ran the cards and it couldn't be reversed. I regret not talking to the manager, but all I know is I will not be going there ever again and I will be advising my co workers not either. Pros: The roof top patio has a nice view Cons: Service charge for credit card use, unhelpful servers, more

CRAZY!!!! 7/7/2008

I am usually the fun person, who picks the great places to go in the family. My cousin was up from Florida, and I bragged about Solera and the Tapas, Sangria, etc. I went with my parents and her. CRAZY!! We went on Sunday night, and there were girls making out with eachother, grabbing eachother, etc. at 5:30 in the evening on the rooftop. The music was far too loud than what it is during the week after work. Food was good, service was excellent, but come on...I was embarrassed I recommended it! Pros: Fun if they can control the crowd Cons: No one seems to run the place more

Tuesday night band is great!!! 5/13/2008

I've been dropping in at Solera for the late night happy hour recently (half price drafts and sangria, $2 off cocktails, $2-3 tapas) and always enjoy the bar and the great specials, but last Tuesday was the first night of a cool new band at Solera. They said their name was Tico Tico, and they played a lot of latin jazz and salsa and some African sounding music. The music was great, not too loud, but very energetic. I was told that the bass player was from Ivory Coast, and he sounded amazing. I was really expecting to see some dancing, because the music was perfect for it. Maybe this week. Regardless, I'll be back on Tuesdays to hear some more. Pros: Great live music on Tuesdays!!! more

Great food and nice atmosphere 4/28/2008

So my husband and I went here for our anniversary and they seated us in a cozy two person booth. It started out quiet, but then a group of seven people came in and sat next us and although they were a little loud, our experience was still good. We tried 5 tapas plates and most of them were very good. My favorite was dish was the veal meatball and I loved the sangria (although it could've used a little more fruit). The ambience is very nice; it can be romantic if you sit in one of their cozy booths, but if you want more noise and liveliness, then I suggested sitting in the room with the bar. All in all a great place to go if you want to have a romantic night or if you want to go as a group. Pros: Food, amience, services Cons: Big parties can ruin romantic dates, parking more
