For my sisters birthday this last weekend, she chose to go to Solera's to celebrate. At the beginning I had been very reluctant to go since I have never been there before, but onc...

We had a great meal. Our car was broken into and we found out afterwards that Valet parking means public parking. Jeff the manager had no idea about their insurance. Insurance ...

This world traveler thinks Solera is wonderful! 5/26/2005

I see a few less than complimentary reviews here, one from a self-proclaimed world traveler, and here's what I can tell you--EVERYONE thinks they know tapas. And guess what? It's different wherever you go, so LIVE with it! Solera does a beautiful job with taste, presentation, variety, service, atmosphere and wine selection. Why do you think they were one of Zagat's Top 10 restaurants IN THE WORLD for 2005??? Pros: Variety, Fun items to share, Atmosphere Cons: A bit pricey more

I was expecting more from this place! 5/22/2005

The Good : Its a hip place with a nice trendy feel. The techno/dance music fits the upscale ambiance. This feels like a place to be seen at. The Bad: Ive visited Tapas bars throughout the country and Solera is now the proud owner of last place. Our waiter arrived at our table, each time, sweating and looked as if he had run a few laps prior to getting our order. Each dish did arrived promptly, I must say, however I wish the taste had arrived with the food. I kept ordering different dishes thinking that I would find one that I would dream about, but nothing! In the end I rolled up my appetite and called it a night. Solera left my date and me feeling that we had attended an Old Country Buffet catering event. Im sorry Solera, I was expecting a lot more. Pros: Trendy, Music Cons: Food, Service more

Great, Great, Great 1/31/2005

What a fantastic special occasion restaurant! The servers were so helpful with the menu throughout the meal, and all the dishes arrived very promptly. I recommend the veal & chorizo meatballs, and the asparagus with mahon. Delicious! The flavors of the food really stood out based on the quality of the ingredients, and not just the strength of the spices or sauces. I'll recommend Solera to my friends, and definitely go back myself. Pros: service, food, proximity to theaters more
