Saban's Rent A Car

What a horrible experience, was quoted one price and charged the most ridiculous over the top hidden charges. I have ended up paying over $1000 for the hire of a car for 7 days. I am leaving Phoenix tomorrow, I doubt I will ever be back. The car would not have been worth $1000. It was an absolute bomb.\r \r I am positive that the only positive reviews on here have been written by them. more

Rented a car from Pete this past wekend. He seems like a good ol boy to me. Went down for Nascar weekend and this place got me taken care of. Car was good. See ya next year. more

January we hired a car form Aable or Saban Phoenix Car rental. We got an old Impala and drove it north to Flagstaf where we have discovered that our heating isn’t working and we ended up driving with gloves and hats, also the lock on the door was faulty so we couldn’t lock the car over the night. We started to get some strange noise when turning the wheels and discovered that there was no steering wheel liquid. We decided to change our plans and drive the car back to the shop in Phoenix and got it replaced for another Impala whit some squeaking sound when accelerating. We thought that the car was all right as we just took it. We drove up to Vegas where our car finally broke down. I called the office and they asked me to repair it at local mechanic and they will refund the cost once we get back. After one whole day of trouble we found a mechanic paid the $400 repair and drove back. When we got back to their office the manager Pete took the papers and told us to call the customer services and they will deal with us. When we called the number he gave us he picked up the phone himself acting someone else! We went to the shop next day requesting refund of the deposit and repair cost. He started to scream on us and pushed us out of the shop and locked the doors. He kept all deposit from the car rental + the repair cost for his car! The whole bill came more than $1000for few days! We had to leave back to Europe next day and couldn’t do anything more. We called a few times from Europe and he just told us to f**off and hanged up the phone. There is nothing we can do from here. I have never experienced anything like it in my life! I would understand if it would happen in 3rd world country but I cannot believe that a business like this can still trade in US! This was our first visit to the States and the whole trip was ruined and I don’t think we will ever come again! more

Stay away from this car rental that goes under two names. Their cars are unsafe and dirty. If you have a problem as we did with the car breaking down they are abusive and hang up the phone on you. There are hidden charges in small print and the price quoted to you at the end becomes much larger. I am sure that any good reviews of this place are posted by themselves . This place scares me please don't be the naive like I was. more

Visited Phoenix recently to see Auburn win the BCS. Yeah!!! Cars were going for over 125 a day. Only place in town with cheap cars was Saban's. They rented me car with no hassle and saved me a ton of money. Thanks. I recommend! War Eagle!!!\r \r more

I rented here 3 times and I knew they had OLDER CARS! Not new c'mon stop crying already. Geez you get what you pay for. They have new cars for more $$$ people. I'll keep going back if I need to. \r \r more

I didn't have a credit card and needed transportation. No problem with these guys. I know where to go if I need another car. Awesome! more

Just do not rent here. We are being over charged, we were hung up on when asking about how to return the cars multiple times. We were ignored when we asked about the 'receipts' we received. Horrible place. more

This place is alright with me! Got an older car and it did the job. Went up to Flagstaff to visit some family. I'll use this place again. more

I flew into Phoenix last week. The other companies were charging outrageous prices on a small car or sold out. Saban's was the only place in town that had a resonable price on car. Thanks so much! Car was clean and drove nice! more

I flew to Phoenix from Canada but couldn't rent a vehicle from the major players because I only had a prepaid credit card and they wouldn't accept it. I knew this place was bad from all the reviews and my experience confirms it. I ended up paying $710 for 11 days of rental even though the fat guy said it was $189 per week or $49 per day. He makes up all kinds of charges. My car was towed away two days before my rental expired and the guy wanted additional $250 for two more days! Insane! I am filing a complaint with BBB and then calling my Russian friends to go pay him a visit, see how he handles them. Stay away from this guy unless you absolutely cannot rent from another place with a credit card. more

Do not, Do NOt use this place. If you have trouble with this auto and call, you are told to not bother them and you are left stranded. If you tell them where car broke down you are told you are a pain in the a##. You are charged up front 600.00 for a 399.00 monthly rental. You will not receive a replacement auto. if the car you rented is towed you have to get a policeman to go with you to dealership to confirm car is there. (2 bouncers will kick you out). I visited Phoenix recently to watch the Cardinals lose. Great game. Rented a car from Sabans. Price was cool and they arranged a ride from the Airport. Avoided all those taxes. more

This place is alright with me! Never had a problem. Cars are clean and the trucks run good. They even got a few with hitches. Good company! more

My experience was good. They take cash and let you drive out of state with the cars. Took a trip to Disneyland with the family. Had fun and car ran great. Price was okay! more

I was stressing about my rental I got with these guys because some lady was arguing her rate was wrong in front of us. I rented anyway and went over my charges with the guy. When I got back everything was cool. Cheap Cheap Cheap. The car I got had about 55,000 miles but the price reflected that. I don't know what people are expecting. This is a cash rental place geez. I will go back next time I'm in town. They had a shuttle pick me up at the Airport. Convenient and I saved! more

My parents kicked me out and I needed to rent a truck. These guys rented me a used pick up for 80 dollars. I don't know why people assume under age is free. I'm 19 and I knew. The charge was 25 at Budget only to find out when I got there i had to be 21. OMG! I was freaking out until the lady told me about Phoenix Rent a Car. She even called for me. I felt so relieved. If I need a car I know where to go. The price was even cheaper too. They were charging a hundred per day at Budget plus underage and tax. I mean it was new but I just needed to move my stuff nothing fancy. more
